I spend 1 month in Sri Lanka🇱🇰 last year, 1 place I can recommend is Hikkaduwa. Best place for quality time and party also. And another place is Nuwara Eliya, beautiful and clean place.
Lol these places are not offbeat these are all touristic places.. most offbeat are anuradhapuram Jaffna Tricomolee You only covered jo baaki so called travelers kar ke aate hai..
The places you mentioned are not as interesting for Indians, especially if they're looking to do international or adventure travel. And the places I have mentioned are offbeat. Ella’s rock- we were the only ones trekking. Indians don’t stay much in Weligama, usually they ll go to Mirissa, I was the only Indian there. Even Hiriketiya & Unawatuna, barely any Indians. Now I am wondering if you saw the vlog completely, or maybe you are already an offbeat traveler yourself 😅
Overrated my ass. Sri Lanka is a much cleaner South Asian country than India, with just as rich of a cultural heritage and better beaches. It’s also much more lush and green with far less air pollution. And at least in Sri Lanka, people don’t urinate and defecate everywhere like they do in India. Much better for tourism. Sri Lanka is better developed too. Much less income inequality and much better access to health care and education. That’s why they have the highest literacy rate in the Indian subcontinent. Seriously. You might try cleaning up your own country before calling Sri Lanka overrated.
