I just rented skis with this binding and felt confused about how to set, then I found your videos on time 😂. Thanks!

Good luck finding the correct settings (DIN). Most of the UA-cam videos I've seen explain it wrong (some of them horribly). But even if you do luck out and get it right, how are you going to test the system to verify that everything is working correctly. Ski bindings have internal parts that wear over time (cams and pins). Even if the binding is rarely used, the springs are usually always under tension and could fatigue. It is not uncommon for the setting from the chart (called the initial setting) has to be changed in order to accommodate the intended tension specification for any given skier (called the final setting). So in these cases, the setting from the chart is incorrect - sometimes as much as two full settings. This is why binding manufacturers no longer recommend using really old bindings. It is not a conspiracy to sell more bindings. It is because at some point the binding becomes unreliable and is a liability to the skier. In addition to the points mentioned above, plastics become more brittle over time and break easily, and glued components break down and come apart. Nothing lasts forever.
