I love beans in my chili, just not on hot dogs. Here in Rochester, N.Y. we have a spicy meat sauce called "hot sauce" which is essentially a beanless chili. It's very popular in this neck of the woods.
Same here. Beans if it’s chili, no beans if it’s a chili dog. I will still eat a chili dog with beans in the chili, though. I’m not crazy! Lol.

@@eganc1976 Yes, I'm cool with Beanie Wennie, as long as they are baked or pork and beans, but still different than putting them on a hot dog proper, in my opinion . Kidney beans are what is traditionally found in chili and that's cool, just not on my hot dog. Hope this answers your question. No disrespect taken.
Exactly chili with beans is how it's supposed to be but chili without beans is even sometimes called hot dog chili , chili on a hot dog is supposed to be without beans but not everyone follows or they just like beans with chili on hot dogs which is fine I think he even showed a big chain Nathan's that put beans in the chili

Chilli with beans is more of a meal you eat with cornbread or corn tortillas. Thin spicy Chili is a condiment you put on hotdogs, hamburgers or French fries.
Perfect timing, was itching for a new hotdog video. That cart, those prices .. perfect! Id be huge if I worked at that bank.

I'm of the belief that hot dog chili should have no beans. If I'm having chili by the bowl, then beans are fine...except in Texas where bean in chili are against the law. That was a great spot Chris

Chris - loving your vids on NYC hot dogs. Coming over at the end of October in advance of the NYC marathon and have a question if you dont mind. I've got a dairy intollerance and although I really want to try out some of the best of nyc hot dogs, the last thing I want is end up getting some dairy. Do you know if the majority of buns used contain dairy or not - not sure if they are standard types across the various vendors? TIA! Susan
