- Footage I shot of the Funeral of Eunice Kennedy Shriver's for all to share that could not be there.
The funeral service drew celebrities, politicians and thousands of well-wishers who stood outside St. Francis Xavier Church in Hyannis, Ma. to pay their respects.
NOTE: The SECOND I finished editing this footage....the news broke in on TV at 1:26 am 8/26/09 that said Senator Ted Kennedy just passed away..........There's a picture of them together at the end of this video tribute.

As a Special Olympics athlete in Rhode Island, Eunice Kennedy Shriver changed the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. Even though I didn't meet her it feels like I already knew her

She came to Glasgow in 1990 as the European Special Olympics were taking place. I escorted her across Celtic Football Ground where she met colleagues from Strathclyde Fire Brigade who were to present her with a cheque for the games. Very pleasant and was most grateful to the Fire Brigade for the donation.
One sister, Jean Kennedy Smith is still living...She is the youngest sister.

Eunice gave so much of herself to this country. BTW, are any of Eunice's sisters still living? I know all of her brothers are now gone.

Are you kidding? You should see how people dress to attend Mass today! Shorts, tee shirts, sweat pants, flip flops, etc. You guys speak about respect for the dead, and you're right. But they don't even have respect for God in His house!
The people in the street are just locals outside of the service paying their respects. Doubt any of them went in the church.
