Auckland Triple Crown - Race 3

Third and final Sprint Orienteering event of the Auckland Triple Crown 2024 Series - the fastest and longest was saved until last. Running around the streets and laneways of the Auckland Viaduct - home to bars, cafes, hotels and boats - the place to be on the Auckland Harbour front - the Waitematā.
A beautiful sunny day with a chasing start and I was second to last starter in my grade, having finished 2nd overall for the previous races. This was easily the fastest sprint I've ever done - a good 30s a kilometre faster than I would normally run, and I felt every bit of it :)
M55 - 3.2 km, 22 controls - 2nd place by 4s to finish 2nd for the Series overall - happy with that.
