  • Winter Sprint Series 2024 - Four weekly races - most points at the end wins (12th last year)
Takapuna Grammar and Belmont Intermediate Schools were the location for Race 1. On Auckland's North Shore with magnificent views over the Hauraki Gulf to Rangitoto Islan, it's a map I've never run on before. Didn't stop to enjoy the views sadly, but you get the idea as I run across the field towards the end.
A bit overcast today, but nice running. I didn't see the little shortcut north to control 4, but I did see the uncrossable wall to control 10 and backtracked. 13th today - not bad for an old man.
Course 1 - 2.9 km, 27 controls. Thanks to Philip and Neill, and of course AOC for organising.

nice work. I'm doing my first urban/school ground course in Utah next week and this was a great refresher on the different types of symbols to expect versus wilderness courses. Thanks!

@thog1234 I love a good sprint :) so good luck and enjoy it.
A lot of people crossed uncrossable walls in this race (including me, but I reversed out when I noticed..) .. walls and fences all look very similar on a map, so take your time
