Oh man, I was just looking for ideas for making my own weighted blanket and did not expect to be crying on a Monday afternoon! This was really sweet and awesome, though, I'm even more grateful that you did something so nice for a grieving family than I am for the craft tips. But also, thanks for the craft tips, this was helpful :)
This crossed my mind as I have TONS of t shirts my ex boyfriend left and I was thinking about finger knitting either a blanket or braiding a rug with them. (I’ll probably go with a rug as he’s an ex boyfriend) but maybe with my kids old shirts and clothes I can do a blanket. It came out brilliant :)
We had a ton of 550 para cord on a deployment and I decided to make a hand knitted throw blanket with it. Thing was so heavy and stiff you could have probably knocked someone out with it haha
Awesome Video Nicole. Found you on UA-cam Vloggers and content creators Australia. Hope you are staying safe, We love supporting other Aussie UA-camrs so we smashed that like button and Subbed your channel.
I absolutely LOVE this concept and woukd like to do the same with some items of my sister who passed away last year from liver cancer. However , as fast as the video played I could not see how you made the shirts into a continuous strips. If you could send a video on how to create the "yarn" I would greatly appreciate it, as will my niece for whom I would make this throw for her first child who is due in a few weeks. Thank you so much n advance!

Do you have any slower videos so I can see how to make for my Autistic boys.?
About how much did it weigh?
I would say approx 1.5kg / 3.3 pounds.
