Thanks so much for a great instructional video! Clear steps with visuals. I think I've watched this a dozen times before even trying to remove the oven door and then started and stopped the video at each step I was at. Scraping the silicone off the metal fittings was a task and a half, as there were metal bumps and holes all over that metal plate (manufactured that way), it left residual silicone, but I discovered a steelo wire scourer did a brilliant job and so much easier and faster with the removal. I thought I would add what adhesive I used specifically, as I see its a popular question. I'm in Australia and used Selleys SealFix Silicone Seal Repair (resists high temperatures up to 260* C and in a purple packet). This whole thing was a lot simpler than I anticipated. Thanks again! :)
I have the same problem as you. I found Selleys Seal Fix in the local bunnings store in NZ. I want to know, does this smell smell when cooking food? Cheers!

Hi there. Greetings from Germany. I recently broke the outside glass of a Miele oven, the part costs 470€!!!. I said no to that, and I started looking in ebay for a compatible door. A door with matching dimensions and holes for the handle was really hard, so I settled for a door without holes from an Ignis oven, looks very cool, exact dimensions, same stainless color on the trimmings, and a mirror effect. Now the issue becomes how to put it together, I thought about drilling, but everywhere I've read, they advice against it because it might be Tempered Glass (or ESG). So I decided to give it a try with glue, using high temperature silicone inside for the two aluminum rails that hold all the inside assembly together, and then gluing the handle to the glass. Do you think this could work? can I use the same silicone for the handle? or should I go for epoxy? Thanks in advance, great job with the videos!
Hi I need to fix my oven door with a glue that holds metal to glass, and I think your video is what I need. I live in Germany, and I've looked everywhere for a glue., Can you give me a specific name of one that should wor, and where I can order it.

My bosh door has rubber strips top & bottom, bottom of glass has come away can I re glue the two bottom rubber strips?
I believe the adhesive must be food grade and be able to withstand up to 300deg C. Would you agree?
