What sucks about these key bosses is that if you go in with players who are different levels..you get a useless participation trophy as a drop if you’re gonna consider farming them. 😵💫 I’m sure if that’s changed on not but I heard it in a guide to skeleton key bosses.
Both- if you have the spell before hand, you’ll collect them to unlock one of the two paths that spell has, and if you don’t have it, you’ll collect them until you have enough to unlock the spell. Upgrading down a path the first time takes 75 spellements and unlocking a spell takes 35 spellements.

Can I farm him on my high level wizard and shared bank the SOF spellements to my low level?

How many spellements do you get per run
Most bosses give anywhere between 0-10 I believe
It's actually 16 spellements, but it's split up among the 4 potential spells so you usually get 3-4 of each individual spell

No you get the same rates, you just have to be in the battle when the boss is defeated
