UPDATE: Kingsisle recently made changes to the fish in both Aero Village and the Sky City Estates. The Blackberry Jellyfish is now a MUCH rarer spawn and has been effectively replaced by new fish spawns including the Fire and Ice School Fish. This makes farming Blackberry Jellyfish a much more time consuming and resource intensive activity and I can no longer recommend it as a quick and easy option for gold or mega snacks. This choice from Kingsisle is incredibly disappointing and I hope they consider reverting the changes soon to allow for more player choice and accessibility when it comes to in-game resources.

This video might be two years old now, but the Aero Village is still a great gold farming location for new players. You can use the fish school spell and then run around the two pools of water to scare away any fish that isn't Storm. You can then use the level 1 Storm lure to catch every remaining fish. The Aero Dwarf Doodlefish sells for ~2k gold each, so if you repeat the process every time you level up (which refills your energy orb) you can net 10-20k per level this way.
What are your favorite gold farming methods? And before you all ask, don't worry, Halfang has not been forgotten! He'll definitely be in the future mid to late game gold farming videos.
@@phenomsairam1350 I used this guide to do the layered garden: finalbastion.com/wizard101-guides/w101-housing-gardening-guides/how-to-build-a-3-layer-stacked-garden-in-wizard101/
Well Now my favorite is fishing in Aero village. I didn't even know you could fish in tour houses lol. I'm lazy but my boyfriend has been doing this for just a few days and he's nearly at gold cap!
As always the videos never disappoint so well put together. The funny edits are great. And you got a nice soothing voice that just wraps up the entire video nicely
While Stinkweed is a huge gold option for the very beginners, there is a funny possibility for more advanced ones: Red Grapes of Wrath. They are always present at the Bazaar, and pay their price many times over and guarantee to drop Sun Fruit at elder. They also drop lots of salable snacks, which can be moved to other players through the shared bank. Of course, Couch Potatoes do that and then some (all those Killer Tomatoes and Shanta Pudding snacks), but I still suggest trying RGoW once and seeing by yourself. Their Gargantuan cards are also good for PvE. And, of course, Ultra Ninja Figs - my favorite Ultra plant, which was a topic of one of my gardening guides. The gold itself is good, but it also drops Deep Freeze TC, which can be sold for more than Empower (its lowest selling price at the Bazaar is 1000gp).
From the day it came out fishing has been my favorite side activity. Since I've never really been interested in pvp this has been a fun activity to do when i max in level and have nothing else to do! Plus it gives off so much gold in return. ALSO that SpongeBob meme was so on point!😂
Haven't played this game in years and was trying to get back into it. Learning that the Blackberry Jellyfish method of farming Gold was nerfed was a huge disappointment. Still making my way through Wizard City on my new account but really want to get enough gold to get a Shiverous Knight for my Ice Wizard ASAP, and not being able to get Mega Snacks reliably early without either buying packs for Couch Potatoes or farming in Grizzleheim is such a huge disappointment.
In the old days of wizard101 their was no Gold cap. I actually had around 750,000 gold before my haitus for years to focus on college when I picked up the game again now with a job my excesses gold was gone.
I doubt this comment will be seen, but given how I'm going into the Spanish servers and am starting from scratch without membership this is very helpful. I even used this very as a reference for anyone in the Spanish servers that needed a quick guide and I just translated it.

Fishing in the aero village, early on it is my best bet for getting gold. Each jellyfish can sell between 5k-8k Oh, didn't get all the way through...good idea right 😅
There's another way of farming gold which is pretty broken you go to empyrea ,travel to Nexus and harvest the Aether and when your done harvesting you which realm and harvest again and with that you can sell that for gold on bazaar.
All my wizards have almost max I just sell reagents and my weak pet snacks at the bazaar.. or if I’m questing for a long time I sell the useless gear that sells for 1k each sell a backpack full

The golden throne thing? You can’t lol it’s an edit. I cropped out my character sitting on the mander palanquin mount and edited it to make it look like she’s sitting on the throne instead :)
There's also a new way to get amber fast but it's not as accurate as the ultra king parsley method and plus I do that method thanks to your help.
