one tip to do R QW perfectly is to start counting 1 to 3 when your R hit the enemy and immediately QW

Seraphs feels good on Hwei. Never found malignance that great. Also Horizon focus seems amazing
Without Presence of Mind, you'd be right it would be a necessity. But PoM gives us the ability to go Malignance for extra ult damage and CD and Hwei has a very powerful ult. Horizon Focus is amazing, but Shadowflame and Stormsurge just synergize too well with passive and ult and are just TOO GOOD
14.2 patch Hwei buff felt huge for him, been enjoying the combos and playstyle a lot, thanks for sharing your testing and knowledge on the little twink. I have a question: Do you feel Cosmic Drive has a place in Hwei's build to facilitate skirmishing vs high mobility team comps? Been building it 4th and having good success, but I'm lower elo so that could be for any number of reasons.

I’ve found crypto loom third the best. Obviously want sombrero but crypto much more accessible, great stats, fun passive that is dopamine farm when you get takedown in team fight and heal your teammates. Honestly really strong item
Nice little guide on Hwei after all the changes. Was kinda hard to know if Hwei was good or not with patches and new season.
The champion is really nice, but I'm still struggling to win with him.
Would be nice to have an extra guide regarding how to play him in the different roles; Mid, Carry and Support and if itemization and runes changes as well.
I've had a lot of success (esp vs assasins/burst mages) with bone plating and overgrowth as secondaries. You still do a lot of damage but your survivability is way higher. Worth trying if you're struggling into fizz, sylas, leblanc, etc.

I used to always build hwei more support focused even In mid cause I enjoy the nuts damage while helping win team fight but I’m starting to realize that a build centered on helping my teammates doesn’t really work cause my teammates need to be good. So thanks for the build I’ll see where it takes me
I like to go Dark harvest, and first item ludens. Its easy to stack up on hwei and synergyzes well with QW
Interesting rune setup, I never really liked First Strike because Arcane Comet used to help even out bad trades with some additional poke, but havent really tried that after the buffs, especially now that I've roleswapped to botlane it just might not be terrible since I'll have it procing on cooldown all game.
I was the first one to advocate Malignance rush on Hwei because I wanted the cdr from it in ur chat, I kinda got reamed by the whole community but stuck it out for a while anyways.
I'm a big fan of Ingenious Hunter, but there probably is no room for it in this build. Ingenious goes really hard with Ludens/Seraphs, Horizon, Zhonyas its pretty much BiS in the Domination tree if u ever run those runes. But what I'm really interested in with Azzapp's runes is precision tree. Being able to go coup de gras and even cutdown is such a game changer, especially as a bot APC. Actually anxious to try these.

I like to go seraphs into assassins, also I see many people in the comments talking negatively about horizon focus, when I'm checking the additional damageof it after the game, horizon always surpasses other items, even if its built as a third or fourth item.
would this guide also work for Hwei if your taking him support?
in your guide of hwei you Kind of missed out some things I would like to call out :
- full runes ( what do you take as the last 3 in the bottom right )
- you showed oft First Strike but your nach history is hwei Support eith most likely dark harvest, but why ?
- speaking about item Variation, your Support build looks a bit different to the one you showed in the guide - can you explain the reasoning why you bought them ?
- spellbook as Key rune, what do you think about that?
Im peak diamond 2 euw and have lots of hwei games , still I did not Master him yet, too. Esspecially thats why I would like to know your thoughts about this stuff.

I just started trying to rank, been learning mid as a secondary role, this pop up while i was looking into what pick bring to mid. Only ever played hwei like twice in PBE and nothing more, picked him up again following stuff said here. How is he allowed to run away at 10 hp so often? Just WQ, ghost in emergencies or flash and done, nobody will ever catch you, QE and materializer to cannon and the wave is gone with a basc attack to melee minions or double QE, if someone jumps at you, just fear and get away while dealing QQ or something yao you barely lost any hp and the enemy is at least 40% hp down, which, funny thing, EW or EQ or something, get Cc, easy ult landing, timing QW with how i saw here, dude just died, bursted a jax so hard he went afk.
I need far more games to reqly understand hwei, he feels nice to.play but so hard to be good at him with all the decision making from skills alone, but im switching to mid tbh, top is now the secondary role. No one ban or pick hwei so i can otp him for now.

Sorcery 2nd with manaflow and trans is so much better for mana management and without trans cooldowns are too high. I even go lucid boots simply cuz getting to that 2nd Q execute faster feels a lot more consistent.
The build "against tanks" with no void staff...? Horizon is ultra poopoo compared to pen% vs tanks, I don't get that choice unless it's OVER liandry's.
you're kinda like a 2013 asmongold but for LoL
If you want to kill tanks go for cryptbloom, it deals more damage, has less conditions and you basically lose 5 ability haste. Horizon is not a good item before 5th.
Also the healing of cryptbloom passive is really good in clumped fights, it’s basically another redemption.
I still find your video interesting, but I go a totally different approach on him.
I like playing ingenious hunter ludens archangels cryptbloom bloom rabadons and last item situational liandry/cosmic/zhonias/banshees/malignance. I don’t think horizon focus is a good item tbh unless you need something 5th item on a poke mage.
I think malignance on most champs is more of a finishing item, rather than a rush item, because in lategame moments you have a lot of moments where a single combo can decide the game.
I found your full burst approach very interessting though.

Still feels weak to me. Plays like a 2015 assassin. If fed early they burst hard. If they go even or fall behind then they don't do damage.
Thank fuck more people are promoting malignance. I swear people just ignore that it has 20 ult haste. Base abilities dont win a game
You go dark harvest rune tree, you get more ult CDR, so u can skip the magliance and go ludens instead. More dmg. Hweis R has low enough cd anyway so youd rather have it hit harder than have extra -3seconds on it

I love the way he says "grace" in "coup de grace" because in french, the way he says it sounds like "coup de gras" and "gras" means grease 😂 (or fat as in human fat)
