- Following the release of the hardware Fantom EX, there's anew ACB expansion on the block - the JX-3P. In this video I explain how to install it, what the presets sound like (32 of them), what the screens look like (with one nice surprise - for me anyway!) and then using a tweaked JX-3P sound with ZEN-Core sounds and one from the GAIA2.

I miss my JX3P. I gave it to my son (hoping he would play) when I moved to Europe, just didn't want to risk flying with it. Sadly it still sits in his closet unplayed.

I have an original with a PG 200, but this ACB version is not bad at all.
Good to know - certainly in its own right the ACB version sounds lovely and I as I mentioned in the video, the two Velocities were an expected bonus!
I'm enjoying the upgrade. Now only if they would make Vocal Designer for Fantom. I wonder why you can use ACB on Zone 1 only.
Because that is where the engine/chip set that produces it is located. You can use the Tone Wheel Organ only on zone 2 for the same reason.
That's funny. I never use the organ and I started playing it tonight. Using the faders as drawbars is cool.
I think the JX3P sounds better than the harsh Jupiter ACB!
...tell me, I bought a phantom from my own hands, EX is installed there, I can’t install anything from my account (should I delete the license?) Won’t EX crash?

I have a problem: I downloaded it, then transferred it to the USB stick and when I inserted it into the Fantom and carried out the procedure as I always did and it was right, the moment the Fantom turned on completely, jx-3p does not appear in the ACB expansion section, only the other 2 already installed appear (jp-8 and 101) I double-checked that it is downloaded onto the stick and it is, I tried downloading again,I honestly don't know what the problem is, do you have any idea what it could be, help please, thanks in advance.
When you get to the screen that shows the two ACN expansions, press install at the bottom right of the screen. That then reads the USB stick and will show what files are there that can be installed. That should be you sorted now.
Press the install button on the screen - then the JX3P will appear.
@@------YeahOK------ Ah, sorry, I forgot to specify this too: I pressed the install button but nothing appears since this expansion wouldn't fit on the stick, but it's there, I checked.

Nice. For Fantom 0 series nothing new again. Some minor updates and that's it, since two years. What a disappointment 🤬🤬🤬🤬
Fantom 0 Advertised as same power in a lighter weight package. 😶
The Fantom-0 is highly capable, but has less processing power and storage. Which is why it costs less. It simply can't run ACB models.
@@TheSynthAcademy Maybe not ACB just something, anything, not only bug fixes.
@@christianthompson1473 100% incorrect. The Fantom 0 series was never advertised as have the “same power” as the flagship model.
It was made clear from the beginning that the 0 series had less processing power, memory, etc.
