- Differences between L59 and LM7 Gen III Chevy small block gasoline V8 engines. One engine is flex fuel. Other engine is gasoline. The engine block, sensors, and wiring is the same. Motors are basically the same. Engine parts nearly identical.

I got a injectors off a L59 (flex fuel motor) and am trying to install them on a LM7 (gas motor). The body that goes into the inake side doesn't fit so the fuel rail cannot be screwed down. If you look at differences in injectors you'll see what I'm talking about. I cannot for the life of me figure out how the factor puts these things together. Or if there's a mystical flex fuel intake manifold?
You can't just swap them. The fuel rail tubes are different. The flex fuel injectors are a different length. You have to have a flex fuel fuel pump regulator setup and flex fuel computer to run them. They are not a direct swap over to a gasoline intake. The engine won't run right even if you got them installed because the fuel tables in the computer are different.
The large plastic intake manifold should be the same on both, some vacuum hoses and ports might be a little different.

L59 is an iron block and LM7 is an aluminum block too.
Lm7 is an iron block just like the L59, you might be thinking of the L33 which is aluminum block
both are iron.
