Nice! I love these videos. I'm about to start rebuilding my '74 Eldorado top and these videos are very helpful.
Thanks for the feedback. Good luck on build.
Impala Mike Sir,How much for the back bumper on the 74 chevy caprice hard top you just posted a few minutes ago?

@@impalamike7927 is there a difference between the hard top and convertibles as to wheel tub's and or mini tubing for slicks ( coronets have dentures to fit the bow's vs charger's/regular models that shaping isn't needed/there ), or a more compact way of making a convertible car? Richard wood ( also did it to his personal 69 car using a 1975 caddy-top after he retired ) and bill from dodge back in 1967 used this top ( and a fibberglass/composite removable top as steel wasn't part of the original production plans, ultmently top brass caned it unfortunately and or was thinking of forcing the coronet top in previous generations production to be used but it doesn't work/look really right and yes to a tall guy/6-4+ like my father its a blessing as it adds 3"-6" of roofline but to me i'l pass as well as mr.wood/bill/team ect ) on a 1966-70 charger prototype that im looking at cloning/themed with 1/2-sized dihedral sueside back doors on my 69
also how much about ball park range USD in the lower-48 for the swap/frame cable-type as i don't like the idea of potential oil leaks on my finished installation/interior and or later on needing repairs+leaking and detailing
I think I met you in Stockton at Marcelo’s shop. I was there buying that faded green 1971 Impala. When I got to the shop you were sitting on the bench and you and the other guy there began telling me all the ways that people steal parts off these classic cars and by the time you guys finished talking I was so scared to take my car home😂. I think you were telling me that you put electric windows in these cars too. Was that you I met?
Yes sir that was me
Please make some indebt videos of adjusting the scissor top
Adjusting a rack comes with experience and that is up to individuals to learn how and why. I shared a lot of free game already.
I’m planning on picking up a 75 lesabre vert that is in great condition/garage kept it’s whole life. Top currently works fine now but after recently discovering how notorious/expensive these are to repair, I’m second guessing my decision now 😳
Take a gamble
@@impalamike7927 I’m buying it. The top currently works great in good shape. Why not? 🤷🏻♂️🤘🏻👍🏻
All 70’s gm’s are hard to come by especially clean convertibles
@@impalamike7927 I’ll post a vid once I pick up this weekend
@@impalamike7927 ua-cam.com/video/zu_G2k3Zl0o/v-deo.html took the gamble 😎
Hey Mike I removed both of my gears and took them apart cleaned and regreased them. I have a question for you when I put them back on what is the best way to set the timing I took them off when they still had some tension on them with the top in the closed position.
What do I do when it struggles to go up. It mainly does it on the passenger side and I have to get help
Hey Mike.. I have a 73 delta 88 and I wanted to know the type of pivot bolts I need .. better yet where can I get them from
For the second bow ?
Who rebuilds the side rails? Thanks.
A place in Florida and 1 in California
@@impalamike7927 both on backorder for the next several months.
Ed P yes. I had several sets I was waiting for took too long. But it’s part of the process.
@@impalamike7927 enjoy your videos!
