Agreed. Awful interview. Jenny Lewis is a highly intellectual songwriter but NME sent its best millennial to interview her. It could have been so much more in depth had they sent a professional.

I love jenny Lewis and how very comfortable seeming she is just being herself. Which I perceive as a murder true crime fanatic, who loves smoking weed and listening to Elliot Smith and his timeless elegance. Full circle just like her from Rilo Kiley to now.

S town was the next town over from where I live...the guy that it was about built this amazing labyrinth type maze outside..it's still there..but no one is taking care of it so it's slowly getting in disrepair

So a year later and aside from Mandy Moore saying “ he was a jerk” there’s been no criminal charges against Ryan Adams meaning he didn’t have sexual interaction with a minor or anything “Weinstein” like. At this point, unless something else has been hidden, he’s only guilty of being a jerk towards an ex? Not really a reason to throw someone out for good.

this whole ryan adams thing seems a bit unfair to me. a lot of people have personality disorders, have bullied people etc, its not cool but about 20 percent of the population have done it at one point or another in their lives. And if you voice your opinion that it's unfair then you are "siding with the abusers", i dont really know what to make of it.
I agree with you mostly here. I mean, okay, so he hasn't been the greatest man towards women, like many Joe-schmos out there. Does that make him and them alike a monster (as people have hastily called Ryan)?
There could very well be other women, in the distant past or more current, who would actually disagree with the statements from women (but those won't be reported). Maybe their chemistry was better. It doesn't change that he was emotionally abuse to others. But it still remains, this is a person (Ryan) with issues, and rocky relationships usually follow suit. Big fucking deal. Was he breaking the law in those relationships? Like, it's nobody's business, if you ask me.
Before someone mentions the other situation - the FBI investigation isn't concluded. But as far as anyone would see *based on the evidence* presented to us thusly, he didn't explicitly know the girl 'Ava' was underage.

Oh God, yes and it's all the twit interviewer's fault. Lewis says, yes, she's willing to talk about one of the most significant stories in music, today. She tells him, we should have an "open dialog" and talk about the power dynamic in the music industry between men and women. Edward R. Murrow, here, swiftly moves on to the crayon drawing. Just riveting. Obviously, someone at NME realized the huge oversight, thus featuring it in the title.
