I saw her opening one of Harry’s concert and I was completely infatuated. Her voice live sounds wonderful, and I am so happy I was able to meet her there. So in love with her!
I’ve loved Jenny Lewis/Rilo Kiley for fifteen years now. She is amazingly talented whether backed by a full band, or acoustic. Such a nice surprise to see her on Tiny Desk!
I've been a fan of her music for 20 years! And before that I grew up with her acting. I miss Rilo Kiley. Her last album, on the line, is great. I'm glad she has big musicians baking her talent but I could really go for a Rilo Kiley reunion where they play w Phantom Planet again.
I am on the other end of this. I have been a Jenny fan for 17 years and I started listening to Harry when I saw she was opening for him. Make sure you guys check out Rilo Kiley. She likes to uses her old music in concerts just as much as her solo stuff.
@@mermaidnurse17 I loved Rilo Kiley. I didn’t even know she left them. Checking her solo stuff out cause 112$ is a lot to see John Moreland and other artists I don’t know. So far through the first song i aint liking.
@@louieo.blevinsmusic4197 yeah, Rilo Kiley was an amazing band. Glad I got to see them so many times w Phantom Planet! Postal Service, Rabbit Fur Coat was good and her newest release On the Line is good, but other than that I didnt really like her other solo stuff. That first song wasn't very good.
I love Jenny so much. “Acid Tongue” is one of my favorite songs. I finally saw her in September at Ohana Fest, dressed like Elton John in a pink jumpsuit and giant sunglasses. It was magical.
My friends from high school were big into rilo kiley and got me into jenny lewis. Im so glad they did. Jenny lewis is amazing. Talented, her voice is amazing and shes so underrated!
I adore her blatant honesty and the beauty of her raw talent and giving a lot of herself away through her music. It's hard to come across artist like Jenny Lewis and her storytelling as well as wide array of music from the abyss to sunshine. keep it in your mind and feel it in your heart. NPR tinydesk concerts have some of my favorite musicians' with all the quirks, unexpectedness, makes it such a memorable experience.
Saw her live in Petaluma CA and she was one of the best live performers I’ve ever seen. She was jumping around and dancing on the amps. Incredible energy and just pure raw talent!
@@friendship6668 I understand what you are trying to point out here. I think Jenny is amazingly talented. Hence why I am watching this right now, for the thousandth time, and why I saw your reply just now. The musicians working with her in this performance are no joke. Lots of talent. It's very hard to sing and play an instrument at the same time as well as doing this in harmony with others. My comment however was on the "song line up". Meaning that I do not prefer these songs lined up next to each other. It had nothing do with the talent of the artists featured in this video. 🙃
@@lizzeeboon3949 I recently found out she was part of the songwriting for the movie Song One with Johnny Flynn & Ann Hathaway. No wonder the songs were so good! Cheers
Fantastic session from Jenny and the girls Stripped back it’s just as wonderful as the marvellous - lovely chorus from the crowd too on Rabbit Hole She’s such a perceptive and clever writer, her voice is beautiful and she just keeps putting out marvellous music
She’s very talented , her band is great too and they are so cute too . Her lyrics are excellent as well as her melodies .And a great personality up front !
Jenny is one of my favorite women singers. I grew up in the Valley too. Even though I am a bit older her influences were the same music I enjoyed. She writes her own material which is rare because she is very talented.
Jenny is so incredibly talented. I saw her open twice for Love on Tour and I can’t believe I haven’t listened to her before that. Absolutely adore her and her music now
Beautiful voice. My first time hearing her. Hard to classify her music, but who cares? It's 'fun folk' maybe? Nice stuff, good harmonies. I'm just one of the guys.
Been a fan of Jenny's since the Rilo Kiley days. Love her work. I usually watch these videos on my Roku UA-cam app, so I don't get the annoying pop-up ads that start playing during the songs. Should be a better way of timing those out, or is it just UA-cams algorithm that launches them.
I love discovering "new to me" artists. Thx Bob! This also led me to search for Emily Elbert on UA-cam..what planet did she drop here from?.....she's amazing. Check out her solo stuff.
Both by the looks of it. There appears to be an Ear Trumpet Labs "Nadine" mounted as well as two leads running to the bridge linking to a pickup of a design similar to but not quite identical to the "Realist Double Bass Pickup by David Gage"

Jenny Lewis is underrated, I think her voice is amazing and the songs she write are great too.
I agree. As evidenced by "I Never" and "Barking at the Moon", she is an amazing singer and truly has the knack for songwriting.
For sure she's amazing
@@sadaksaraI guess they mean she should be in the mainstream but that’s not where she belongs and everyone knows it lol
❤☝️🙏 she is great
Underrated? She’s an icon

Jenny Lewis sounds like a perfect sunday in autumn
Her voice is like warm apple cider!
Tiny Desk is like a box of chocolate :)
Never know what you're going to get ;)

Acid tongue is also one of my favorites, and I wasn’t prepared to see it live. An experience.
One of the most underrated modern artists
Now I'm an Emily Elbert fan. She deserves her own slot behind the desk.
She’s at a weird level of fame. She was the indie queen for a while
Still is.
Serious break through with her latest album.Killer tunes and band.
She been like 8/10 for 20 years but just never quite makes that truly great album.
Jenny Lewis and Stevie Nicks should collab ❤️
I would also accept Emmylou Harris

Lol at the bruh at 2:04 who's like "I don't know this song..." Thanks to Harry Styles for turning me on to more new music, love her.

I wish she would’ve played “She’s Not Me”!!:(
Me too! It's my favorite!
For those that don’t know, she was also the female vocalist in the Postal Service album
Well, also Rilo Kiley...
Andy Gilmore I figured most fans would already know that
One of the two female vocalist in postal service
Take off and Landings is a great album
she was also in the movie “the wizard” with fred savage. way back in 1989.
I love Jenny. This song line up is lacking though. Please search up Jenny Lewis, don't let this be your only intro to her.
It's weird she doesnt have a guitar in her hand. Or a keyboard. Those backuo singers too 🤪

I watched her with the Watson Twin’s like 15 years ago and it was INCREDIBLE!!!
That album introduced me to Riley Kelly.
Infinitely amazing!
I’ve listened to her every day for the last 15 years.
loved her since Rilo Kiley - she continues to make amazing music, and be awesome
I want a hot pocket now
Jenny Lewis: aka the cooler version of Zooey Deschanel.
Better singer and songwriter
WHY DID I ONLY SEE THIS NOW!?!? It is endearing how gracefully she carried that mess up.
Watching her recover from mistakes is truly one of the greatest joys of seeing her perform live.
Fantastic session from Jenny and the girls

What is an amazing poet Jenny is.... litterally injecting meaning into the meaningless.....

One of those artists who pop up on my radar only every couple of years or so but then really in an amazing way :-)

My first time listening to this group - impressive. I love their sound, lyrics and vibe. Thank you, Harry Styles😘
Great set by Jenny! Although now I can't unhear the hot pockets theme haha
Amazing! Watch the guitarist quickly anticipate Jenny's Hot Pocket comment with the jingle at 9:19
Love Emily !
Brings her music to the show!
'crowded elevator' in early march 2020 - truly an ominous energy
64 people accidentally missed the like button
Anna Butterss didn't get the memo about the bangs, haha :-p Great performance, I love Jenny!
I saw her open for Beck. She was amazing live!
Jenny Lewis is my favorite songwriter of all time. Maybe second after Morrissey but only smiths era
Mee too! Her depresing weird mini stories on her lyrics, remind me to morrisey, my second favorite.
This video is getting me through the year. It gets better with every watch. Seriously. I love Jenny ❤️
Beautiful voice. My first time hearing her. Hard to classify her music, but who cares? It's 'fun folk' maybe? Nice stuff, good harmonies. I'm just one of the guys.
Check out Rilo Kiley. Her earlier stuff is tops
Now I'll add "Hot Pockets!" to Just One of the Guys every time I hear it.
Have a great day everyone ✨

30 years later and I wanna go hitch-hiking with Haley more than ever.
I had no choice but to go ALL the way DOWN the rabbit hole! (By myself for medical reasons)
One of the best concerts I've ever attended. Shoutout to Salt Lake City Twilight.
From one bass player to another! I think I'm in love. Solid sound lovely voice and pretty. Keep them all together girl
I still revisit this for Do Si Do, still gets me emotional 🤌
Perfection does exist and it’s Jenny Lewis
Probably a lot of this audience's last concert pre-COVID
I just love Jenny so much. She is the real deal Holyfield! 😍
I've loved Jenny Lewis since I saw her in Foxfire! 🤍

Second guessing the Beatles and the rolling stones
thats just morbidly obease
the bass sounds killer!!
This is so wonderful!
Get Billy Strings and Marcus King on!
Simple but pure “as the driven snow” kind of music! Just plain ole good!
I've been in love since troop Beverly hills.

Had a crush on her every since I was a little kid in California
Bring Jhené Aiko!!!
Chorus of NPCs on the Rabbit Hole song was a nice touch
The bass player is the representation of the woman I love in my dreams ❤️
I-PKU Give her a call; ya never know bro
Great singer/ songwriter.
Huh? What is the end point of this song? Where are you going?
She needs to write a song called “You got 50000 on double dragon?!”
I love em!!! Thank you I will be checking these girls out more!
I really like the bass player
She is magic
I listen to on the line album constantly! Love this version of Do si do!!

Perfect bass playing!
