27 years and it still stings everyday. Then you see things like this and it just takes you there! So G*d damn GRATEFUL I was able to participate in the magic✌️💙⚡️❤️
Kind of nice seeing Jack and Bobby join in on Fire. I got to catch this show twice and both times Down The Road just ripped into my heart -- as it di watching it here. Music is the healer of the soul!
I wasn't at this particular show, but i went to 2 on the East Coast for this 1996 tour. it was so special. it was cathartic, wonderful, fun, sad, tear inducing...So glad I went.
Watching the two bass players tossing riffs back and forth is just so fine. And Bobby, with that smile pasted on his face. These folks were having FUN!
I went to 1 show on this tour in Mansfield, MA I remember I was still personally grieving the loss of Jerry. It was actually very soothing for me to see pretty much 3 core mbr's of the G Dead and.a lot farmilar faces in the crowd. I seriously nvr heard of Hot Tuna before 1996, I'm so happy I learned of them and luv'ed the entire show!
Wrong way Billy, what you standing there for? Get up, get off, get out of the door You're playing cold music on the bar room floor Drowned in your laughter and dead to the core There's a dragon with matches that's loose on the town Takes a whole pail of water just to cool him down Cut up in sections, squirming alive Lost to the world on that fifty-cent jive Fireman, fireman, call off your dog This isn't a blaze, it's just a hog in the log There's a fire on the mountain, running around What doesn't go up can never come down Fire, fire on the mountain Fire up on the mountain, there's a Fire, fire on the mountain Right up on the mountain there's a Fire, fire on the mountain Wound in barbed wire, hell I ain't sore Only hurts when I laugh, or roll on the floor Only hurts a little, that's what I'm told When you drown in hot oil it can even feel cold I know I'm in love but I can't tell you why It feels like poison, shoot me down when I cry There's a Fire, fire on the mountain Fire, fire on the mountain Can you see the fire, fire is getting higher Fire, fire on the mountain How's it going, how's it going, are you coming through the Fire, fire on the mountain She's running around, she's coming down Up, up, up, up, right up on the mountain there's a fire Here she comes, here she comes She's running down, she's coming around There's a fire Let me tell you Here she comes Gonna drink a hot water before I die It cools me down, I ain't telling no lie Out of the frying pan and into the fire Over the rat trap and under the wire My baby's in scarlet, her shackles in gray If loves to love she's got it slated away Put it down heavy, pick it up lean Got to lay it down dirty and play it back clean Fire, fire on the mountain Right up on the mountain there's a fire You know it's getting closer Fire, fire on the mountain Here she comes, here she comes Running round, coming down Fire, fire on the mountain Right up on the mountain there's a Getting higher, here she comes, here she comes Fire, fire on the mountain She running around, she's coming down [etc]
@@anthonyrusso1200 I loved it. THere's always some negative creep on You tube, so...let's just ignore it. I went to Orchard Beach and Great Woods for this tour. It was amazing.
Similar to my thoughts in a mixed way. Those first two Furthur Fests in '96 and '97, easily the two best bands were both Mickey's. Mystery Box and Planet Drum. But then there's this. I've said it since the Mystery album came out... Down the Road is the most horrendous set of lyrics Hunter had ever written. I cringe every time. The song is embarassing. And Mickey on vocals makes everything worse. Hence, the Fires from that tour. Jesus. The total flipside was stuff like Where Love Goes. When Mickey was quiet, Mystery Box was killer. Like Planet Drum meets En Vogue.

Beautiful song!! “Just the beard and the glasses, a smile and empty space”…..
Love mystery Box

Rippin Fire, I don't know about everybody else, but I love it. Reminds me of the New Years Eve 1982/83 opener.
6:37 the look on Bobbys face, him looking at Mickey, like he’s hearing something unexpected? Lol. Mickey starts signing at 6:34 ish look at Bobby lol
goddamnit mickey...
Mickey looks like a pastor up on that stage preaching the word
And I'VE BEEN SAVED!
Love hearing Mickey rap. Were those the original lyrics to Fire or something that had just been written recently?
Wrong way Billy, what you standing there for?
Get up, get off, get out of the door
You're playing cold music on the bar room floor
Drowned in your laughter and dead to the core
There's a dragon with matches that's loose on the town
Takes a whole pail of water just to cool him down
Cut up in sections, squirming alive
Lost to the world on that fifty-cent jive
Fireman, fireman, call off your dog
This isn't a blaze, it's just a hog in the log
There's a fire on the mountain, running around
What doesn't go up can never come down
Fire, fire on the mountain
Fire up on the mountain, there's a
Fire, fire on the mountain
Right up on the mountain there's a
Fire, fire on the mountain
Wound in barbed wire, hell I ain't sore
Only hurts when I laugh, or roll on the floor
Only hurts a little, that's what I'm told
When you drown in hot oil it can even feel cold
I know I'm in love but I can't tell you why
It feels like poison, shoot me down when I cry
There's a
Fire, fire on the mountain
Fire, fire on the mountain
Can you see the fire, fire is getting higher
Fire, fire on the mountain
How's it going, how's it going, are you coming through the
Fire, fire on the mountain
She's running around, she's coming down
Up, up, up, up, right up on the mountain there's a fire
Here she comes, here she comes
She's running down, she's coming around
There's a fire
Let me tell you
Here she comes
Gonna drink a hot water before I die
It cools me down, I ain't telling no lie
Out of the frying pan and into the fire
Over the rat trap and under the wire
My baby's in scarlet, her shackles in gray
If loves to love she's got it slated away
Put it down heavy, pick it up lean
Got to lay it down dirty and play it back clean
Fire, fire on the mountain
Right up on the mountain there's a fire
You know it's getting closer
Fire, fire on the mountain
Here she comes, here she comes
Running round, coming down
Fire, fire on the mountain
Right up on the mountain there's a
Getting higher, here she comes, here she comes
Fire, fire on the mountain
She running around, she's coming down
[etc]
Actchuly Mickey heart envented rap if you don’t belive it look it up
Man. Did bob play a decent solo? Or was someone off camera? Looked legit
❤😉⚡🎶😄🦅 watcher 🏹🎯
I feel like I’m watching a bad youth group pastor band.
Weird
The best part of this is watching the crowd pretend they are enjoying what is going on. Holy crap is this hilariously awful.
Was amazing live on ə ! Great tour!

Mickey Hart is the greatest and worst and also greatest and worst at everything.
