Now I kinda wanna hear Lex Luthor’s song now to be perfectly honest with you (I bet it’s a epic, sorrowful but beautifully bittersweet melodic nocturne that would be perfect for the equally epic but tragically bittersweet return of the “Old Lex Luthor”)
Annnndddddd we get evil Lex back, just in time for his appearance in the upcoming James Gunn Superman movie. I knew you'd cover this Lex Luthor Special, Joel!
Yeah we all knew evil Lex was going to return, but I sort of wish that the amnesiac version could have had more of an arc, the way Norman Osborn had in the Spider Man books. That provided some good storytelling there.
@TevyaSmolka yeah, never said his arc ended well, but... at least he got one before the status quo inevitably resumed. And before the Goblin's inevitable return we got some good stories told.
Not a fan of the age gap between Lex and Clark. Yes it's faithful to some versions, but Lex being raised on Smallville only works when he and Clark are close to the same age, allowing them to be classmates who slowly become enemies. If DC didn't want to have Clark and Lex being childhood friends, they shouldn't bother to have Luthor in Smallvile in the first place
Hey Joel do you intend to check out the Rise of the Power Company One Shot too? I'd love your thoughts on it and I'm not seeing too many ppl talk about it
My interpretation is him being afraid that his villain memories will return first and be more prominent (ie. will focus on those memories), since he spent more time as his nemesis than not I believe.
Because Lex will go back to being his enemy numero uno again, and THIS April, Lex will reform the Legion of Doom again in the upcoming crossover event, "We are Yesterday"!

The song Lex was playing is the Beary McCreary interpretation of " All Along The Watchtower " from Battlestar Galactica in my mind..
How have they not done a dedicated amnesia story with Lex until now? This story is brimming over with possibilities.
Nope. This is new/The 1st time

It's a rendition of Gay Bar by Electric Six.
@@jonathaneilbeck2263 really?
This lex Luthor breaking bad is ten times better than Norman Osborn crap going on in Spider-Man right now in my opinion.
I know, right?! They are both very similar: being rich, evil men who are also scientific genuises! 😅
@@MatthewLoh-ru1mw indeed
We all know Lex was playing "Just A Friend" by Biz Markie!
Most wonderful song ever written lol
The Norman Osborning of Lex Luthor.😊
I think DC is doin it better
Yes, but DC's way is better
Yeah it’s only a matter of time of Lex Luthor getting his memories back and being a villain
And also movie Synergy with James Gunn's Superman movie
I think Lex was playing a piano rendition of three doors down's kryptonite.
@@dennisflood7246 Well now that would just be perfect

I like nice good Lex I want him and supes to be friends

Problem Norman Osborn went stupid with that awful sin storyline and has really been dragged to the ground in my opinion.

@@malicyoung9293 ah gotcha
But alas, this is comics. Things always, always goes back to the status quo!

It's a loose copy of their friendship from the Smallville TV show!
I wonder what this will do to his and mercy's relationship...
Nothing. Just back to master and lackey relationship
Moonlight Sonata for me
@@Tenro100 Another classic
Joel, are you gonna cover that OTHER sexier Lex (Lexier?) book that dropped this week? Lex In The City!
A Valentine Day's special that features different characters looking for love.
No, he won't. He doesn't do anthologies well
Hey Joel do you intend to check out the Rise of the Power Company One Shot too? I'd love your thoughts on it and I'm not seeing too many ppl talk about it
Maybe, its a weird week where I can either add more books or double back and cover some books I'm like 3 issues behind on.
Damn, why they can't just let lex be redeemed and bring in another big bad
Because it's comics. It's always, ALWAYS goes back to the status quo. Marvel did this too with Norman going back to being Green goblin
Don’t lex give Superman his company and was working with him before he lost his memories why is Superman afraid of lex getting his memory back
