I suggest you do a second short video showing how you use a template against a pattern. “Here’s your bodice front. Here’s your front armhole template. See how they differ? Trace the template onto your pattern and cut away/paste in the difference.” Then tell us if and how do we need to change the sleeve. I know it’s easy for you. We are stupidly terrified of this. Should we be able to figure it out? Yes. Can we always? Sadly, no. We are grateful for you!

I believe I just had a light bulb moment! So can we take a pair of ready made pants that we like and make a crotch template from them and then take that to a pants pattern, for example?

I find the templates a little flimsy, so I’ve traced them onto poster board.
