I own this and can attest, the only thing I wish it had was the larger awning. It is an awesome camper.
Awesome Ty!!
If they made a bar under that window instead of the dinette and move the bedroom door towards the doorside that would make better road mode and I think most people would enjoy that.
I guess my road mode concern was unfounded. Still wish the cargo capacity was bigger. I'd still like an oven though.
Love that idea.
Love road mode! Not sure about that no oven issue if you do boon docking
Fair. TY
We LOVE our 240ML! We have the 2022 and while I wish ours had the lighter wood like this one, I do like that ours still has the shoe cubbies at the entry door instead of the open shelves (no bins required) and our still has the oven (which we do use). This is our third rig, downsized from a large toy hauler 5W after the kids graduated and stopped traveling with us. It is the perfect couples trailer! Really enjoy your videos, thank you!
THANK YOU for always showing campers in road mode! That is really important to us to have access along our route or if we decide to boondock somewhere or camp on the beach and leave our slide in because of sand. Also thank you for always opening every single cabinet and drawer! Love your videos, very informative.
I love the welcome center with the shoe garage! Very nice to have a place to put stuff whe coming or going! Cool there are drawers and a closet/pantry next to the door too. As you mentioned a couple of times, the main door not at the bedroom is very nice and a wall with door! WoW, nice stove/oven layout. Kind of a bummer no toekick but what ya gonna do, needs to be as is. I like the toilet being off to the side, not tripping over to get to the shower. When we would go camping we only used the toilet for "emergencies only" so it's nice not to step around if it's not getting used regularly. Very, very nice rig!!! WoW, Nice road mode!!! Definitely ticking boxes here! Great vid Josh! In the words of Grandpa Griswold "It's a beaut!" 😃👍
lol :)
Now there's a trailer that gets a lot right. I especially like the hanging closet by the door to keep jackets where they're needed. Might want at least one of the bedroom wardrobes able to be used for that, as well.
Private bedrooms are good to have. No need to go around making sure all the shades are drawn every time you go to sleep or need to change, and a proper door beats the hell out of a curtain.
The lighting strips are nice. I hope that power theater seating with outlets is available in the production run. 12 volt fridges are the way to go, in my opinion. Those who boondock most of the time may prefer 3-ways. I like having a propane oven to cook up some tendies if I'm off grid, but I usually have power so it's not a big deal. Outlets are where they're needed, so the toaster and all important coffeemaker have homes.
Bathroom isn't much worse than most. As long as I can stand up in the skylight I can live with it. I'd probably put in some netting, and definitely upgrade the fan.
That knee-knocker dinette table would most certainly be replaced by a free floating one. A bigger awning would be nice, but the installed one is more than adequate, particularly with the door right in the middle of it. Not a fan of outdoor speakers, though, especially when they're placed so high up.
I'd almost rip out the dinette and put a bar type thing under the window
@@GrillMarksBud-S-n-P Theater seats plus breakfast bar is my preferred layout.
Thank you for all this!! Have a great weekend
It’s been a while but I’m grateful you’re doing in-depth reviews again. Whether I buy a RV or not you are the only one who covers all the necessary info to purchase one.
We bought the 2023 version, and have not regretted it for a moment. It really is a wonderful trailer.
I watch rv organization videos. My wife reminds me that we have MORE than enough storage.
The thing that impresses me the most is how open and spacious the floor plan is.
Once, when we were on a group outing with tent campers, it started to rain heavily. Long story short, we had 12 adults in the trailer playing games without feeling like we were too cramped.
We regularly have six adults in the camper for entertaining without any problem.
But I love that it only sleeps two adults and a child.
Man that’s awesome to hear! I love this model. It has so much capacity
Hi Josh! A couple things about this one I love are:
* Lighter, brighter interior this year
* Entry with shoe garage, storage, and a mirror. Nice touch on the entry door update, too.
* Camp-side dining
* Kitchen storage galore!
* True queen bed
* No easy bake oven? Fine with me!
Things I'd change:
* I agree with you about the awning being longer. I would pay more for that.
* Say what you will about the plaid fabric, I liked the option to break up the monotonous brown. I'd like to see something as an option here, but there are always throw pillows.
Thanks for another great video. This is still in my top 5!
It would be cool if they could do a reverse “televator” down from the upper cabinets above the dining table. I hate TVs up by the ceiling. Also they should have brought the cabinets on the slide out to the edge of the slide so you don’t stub your toes.
Not impossible. I've seen it done in another RV before. I think a simple swing down arm could work as well
that is a superb floor plan for a trailer of that size. I really like it.
This would be awesome if you could “option” out the uncomfortable booth dinette for a sofa or a table and chairs to give the RV a more residential feel👍
Nice trailer! Better tires would be the icing on the cake. Good layout with slides open or closed.
I had Goodyears on my last camper, and the Westlakes on this camper have been better tires, in MY experience
i like this one alot that being said i would change 2 things before i went anywhere with this #1 those tires gotta go #2 the bathroom exhaust fan would get a BIG upgrade 😁
I changed the tires, installed an equalizer and sumo springs. We also installed 3 remote control maxxair fans with the powered covers.
Man that sounds nice
I love road mode in this one, A+! They get an A+ for not putting the dinette in the slide too. I wish it had an oven and headboard pockets though. I can't say that I love the decision to raise the sink above the rest of the counter like that but that's something I'd have to see in person to know whether it works for me or not.
This is nice but we own a 2022 transcend 221rb and we love it. Its just me and my wife and it has a separate bedroom. As far as the dinette the table just atracted junk, we just use tray tables at the sofa and we love how large the bathroom is. This is a beautiful trailer but I'll keep my 221rb, its also only 26 ft 10inches long.
That’s a great layout for sure
It feels like there is no wasted space in this one I like it
It’s really effective
Yay, no more plaid. Love the move on these Transcend models. You know me Josh, the plaid is the anti-thesis! This unit is absolutely a step into a greater future - love it.
I love the power recliner in my home, but since I camp off-grid at least half of the time, unless they are plugged into an inverter prepped outlet I would have to start my generator in order to use them😂
In my book this would be a F250 truck compatible. There are many good deals on used 3/4 ton trucks.
It works fine with my Tundra🤷
Josh vs the Cornhole board...never thought the cornhole board would win but it almost scored a 1st round TKO..glad you didn't bite the dust on that Nerd..Great video thank you!!
Man it was close
@@JoshtheRVNerd 🤣🤣🤣
Overall, I like this little trailer. A lot to like, road mode, decor, awning, a few considerations like doors on bathroom cabs, propane oven (Off grid), bigger fan(easy fix) longer awning. Trifold sofa! Great storage and cabinets. Refrigerator is just fine. Plenty of power outlets. Put the microwave/airfry could be where the oven used to be...i am short. Thanks for the lift-assist for underbed storage. Doors on overhead cabs in bedroom, please. Better tires, please. Loose the speakers! Excellent entry location. Thanks for the ladder. Bigger solar standard. I like this layot. And decor. Thanks Josh.
Wow! I wish I saw this before I bought my 200ml....
I want both the sofa and dinette!
And more storage...
I *really* like this one
200ML is great
But if I had to choose i'd pay the extra bit for one of these
When I see your videos it makes me want to go explore the two places here in Casper Wy. See some in person. But it's winter. And the sales ppl are vultures. And kinda rude when I say I don't need a trailer. I just want to see certain one in person to see for possible future. Hate that only place you can look at many is a darn r.v. show
Great joc Josh! Like a lot in this floorplan. Any chance they'll do a similar floorplan in the Azdel/fiberglass sides with better CCC and remove the toe-stubbing slide (also must have rack and pinion slide!)? Hint...Grand Design or Forest River, are you listening?
Imagine 22mle is their laminated version
Forest River 22rkhl is similar with floor flush slide
To me. The main drawback to stick and tin is wind resistance. With that kind of siding, no drawback at all.
It definitely helps!
Thanks for Canadian shout out, Josh!
love this
Good video Josh
This falls right within the specs i would be looking for, but i dislike the tiered kitchen sink, lack of oven, lack of outside fridge, height, and tv location near the ceiling. I do reqlly like the look of those interior lights though. Based on your video of the surveyor 252rble, that feels like a better fit for me personally.
Thank you!
I really like this trailer. I mind the loss of the gas oven less than I thought I would. We've rented trailers a few times and never used it when we had it and didn't miss it when we didn't, but the convection microwave needs to be bigger without the gas oven there, I think. That's not a showstopper for me though.
At 15:34 "some people watch these videos hoping the presenter slips up" -- Josh, I have no life. Don't judge.
I might have missed it, but I didn't see/hear anything about the ability to upgrade the 165W solar? Overall, I like it.
Man don't apologize for who you are. Just be you. Good enough for me.
I don't think I discussed solar expansion capacity actually
It's a 40amp charge controller so you definitely have the ability to bulk up
And GD tends to use sold wiring gauges for that purpose
Yes
Josh, it's almost perfect....But...we 1960's hippies need a Disco mirror ball and Lava lamp. Tell GD to get their Groove On.
Good looking camper with sweet floorplan. Love the front dresser/shoe garage; you could also put the coffee pot there because there's an outlet! 👇
Questions: Does "stick built" mean no azdel & the possibility of mold or wavy luan? Can the new fangled microwave bake? Could the slide's floor bumper piece be a trip hazard?
Thx for giving us a great preview into this camper, Josh!
Not laminated. No azdel here
That microwave can do some baking yes
Why lie i watch your videos for the bloopers 😅 😅 , i don't use a easy bake size oven when I camping it heats the camper up to much but i try to all my cooking outside so I don't get the cooking smells inside but everyone camp's different
😅
The layout is nice on this model. I would want to check if a sleeper sofa was available to switch out for the dinette. The queen bed is wonderful! My family is mostly just over 6' tall so those camper queens tend to leave the tootsies hanging out a bit. The shower in this model is a problem too. Can't have everyone's head in the skylight. I do love how everything is still accessible when the camper is folded up. That's probably my favorite aspect in this model... That and the full size queen bed.
Very nice camper. I’ve liked the transcend for all its amenities in a stick and tin TT .
Same here!
I generally like the layout, but need an oven. I could get around that with my own toaster oven. However, why on earth do they have bilevel counters at the sink? I really like the separation of the sink/cleaning area from the prep/cooking area. I adore the console storage at the door. Josh, I'm curious about the door. What is it made of? Do I have to worry about it breaking if it bangs the trailer in heavy winds? Or gets hit by a rock on the road?
Door is tempered glass
Quite a few camper using them
Smoother sides to clean
At least the dinette is right across from the theater seats. Can put the table down like in sleeping mode, remove the cushions, and put a nice size tv in that spot with a coaxial cable running down from above. Would lose the dinette for eating, but small price to pay. Why they would put in theater seating that nice across from a little tv is beyond me.
We need a Woody the Woodpecker impression from you some day
No oven is a deal breaker for me same for a bathroom in a kitchen. No a deal too also a deal breaker.
We’ve noticed a lot of campers going with the fresh water fill up on the camp side which is typically the opposite side if you’re driving through a campground. Why is that??
I’m not much for the outside looks of a stick and tin typically, but overall, this model could make the list of 37. 👍 on your awning comment, totally agree. Guess I’d have to put the second spare in the cargo hold.
JosDefinitely meets the truck stop or rest stop rolling bed, head and mess standard. Really like the fore/aft true queen bed, all the storage and actual storage under the stove. I’m guessing that most ovens are actually used more often to store pot than bake biscuits. The rig is a little long and a little too tall for wife and I. But overall, it’s a nice travel trailer. Its weight is within a reasonable F150/Chevy 1500 tow package. Now, can it be built without the slideout?? With that “small” modification this would make the Transcend 240ML even more perfecter couples unit. Respectfully, W.S.
No slide would be interesting.. not sure that kitchen works without it though
@@JoshtheRVNerd Simple Job. If engineers can orgami a 6.5 meter Webb telescope into a rocket nosecone, engineering a fully functional kitchen into a slideless Transcend 240 ML should be simple. Josh, have ever known an engineer who wouldn’t say “Hold my beer and watch this!!!” when challenged?? 😁😁 Respectfully, W.S.
Love it!
Not familiar with this brand but if it's built well then its going on the list.
Gold circle DSI winner for about 4 years and running
Hello Ember touring!
Not a lot NOT to like in this one!! It is trending toward the perfect couples camper! As for not having a real oven...no big deal. I tend to think most people don't really use them. I love the entrance being towards the back of the camper. I think it helps make better use of the space.
Air fryer would do basically the same as an oven, so not a deal breaker for me
Yeah I really like this style of layout
I do use my oven and crockpot a lot, and as at home, I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Would prefer the bathroom by the bedroom and not in the kitchen traffic lane.
Biscuits and gravy for breakfast. You need a real oven.
It has a lot in common with the 22MLE but I also see some 23LDE with the cabinets by the entry door and enclosed bedroom.
I'd prefer the kitchen counters all be one height.
I like the looks of this theatre seat better than we have in our 22MLE. The seat controls in the 22MLE are in the way and it is too easy to turn something on when you get up or reach for a drink int he cup holder.
"Convection with Air Fryer" is redundant. An air fryer is a convection oven. 😉
We don't have the height problems you do and have found that style shower to be ok. It isn't the biggest but you can bend over to clean your toes without hitting your head or bumping walls. We also like the high corner shelves that don't take up wall space.
It would be nice to have cubbies by the bed like they do in the Imagine lines.
Bed cubbies for sure Ty
Find a couple more inches on either side of the toilet and it's a homerun for me.
I really like the layout but no oven is a deal breaker as is the interior height… we need 6’8”. We like to eat lunch at a table when traveling so I love to see a dinette NOT in a slide 😀
Leaning 2024 Wildwood/Salem 22rkhl for outdoor fridge and versa tilt bed but waiting to see one here in MI first
I have updated footage of that coming as well!!
I like everything but the lack of oven.
Fair Ty
The kitchen sink counter having 2 levels is an interesting choice. I'm worried however that not having the counter being a single slab could make it easy to get crumbs and grime in the seams between the two counter tiers.
I love that the fridge is next to the sofa. Very easy to reach for a drink while watching a game. Do you know of any standalone ovens that could be put on the counter or placed over the stove to use the burners as a heat source? I've seen camp stove oven conversions but those aren't compatible with conventional stoves I think.
I suspect if one really needed an oven the cooktop and top drawer could be replaced by a range. This would be something done at the dealer or by the owner.
I don’t really care for the stove and sink locations… rear kitchen is good, but the stove feels like it’s in the dining room.
However, I do like the closet and table at the entry.
TY Michelle!
Really like this one but my toe vehicle is a Toyota tacoma
Get rid of the dinette and replace with a breakfast bar, and this baby would get Five Stars.
Ooooh.. I like that
What is the name and model of the vent fan replacement from the 4 in fan that you talk about?
Like the size , still prefer the aluminum/fiberglass style of construction, love no oven , lose the dinette and bigger bathroom. Can't make everyone happy . Lol
Thankfully there’s no shortage of laminated models that are similar
No oven is a deal breaker for me.
I would have to try a convection oven before buying an oven-less RV
Take mine. It's over rated. Get a new air fryer and been two months. Haven't even touched the oven
I agree
Me too
Could you use a small toaster oven or an air fryer to meet your needs?
Nice touch wth the presenter slipping up ona corn hole board
about rolled my ankle lol
As a mostly dry camper I loath the 12v fridge. No oven? So if you are cooking something in the convection/Micro and want to heat up a side dish or make some popcorn while waiting for dinner to cook you are basically SOL. Please tell these manufactures to stop with cutting corners on amenities and going the cheapo route.
Hold on. You said under 3 ft. That’s a mighty short camper.😂
Nice trailer. Don't need the oven....what type of slide?
we were deciding between this and the 260rb, we went with the 260rb because when you stand Infront of the sink in the 240ml to do dishes your face is smushed into the cabinet. the cabinet should of been reset.
That's solid input. TY
Don’t like the sink over there from the cooktop and the bathroom by the kitchen
The entertainment seating center arm rest is a problem. It prevents cuddle mode and laying down nap mode. A fold down, fold up, arm would be preferred.
@@tlouiseallen9302 I know, but it's still an issue.
Nice looking, but kitchen and bathroom proximity, both traffic areas. I want a big refrigerator, not in the slide, and an oven. For a non cooking often couple, this is very nice. Love my big awning. Not bad, but not for me.
Josh do they make one or a version with a king bed ? Great review as usual!
Currently they do not but a cougar 22mls might be the ticket
Or the 25 but seeing to many bad reviews from customers on the keystones but it always comes down to how much can you spend @@JoshtheRVNerd
Maybe the 25 fkd@@JoshtheRVNerd
It's nice but I don't like the broken up kitchen
Fair enough
I think they should make the awning longer.
Would be cool to get that extra window covered
#NerdHerd 🎉 😊 🎉
It’s fine, much appreciation for the door for the bedroom. But the View series from Wildwood and Salem have really wrecked other models for me. I don’t care about the oven, we use an air fryer and Instapot.
Love the floorplan, but a couple "no no's" for me. (small fridge, crappy bedroom storage). Does anyone else make this exact floorplan?
For the algorithm
I don't get the multi-level counter top. That and no cubbies by the head of the bed are big negatives for me.
Solid points. Ty
Just wish they made this in the Imagine xls specs
That’s kinda what this is m.ua-cam.com/video/e7DEbtbxKvQ/v-deo.html
Not identical obviously
Are the bedroom closets convertible for hanging clothes?
Well i like having TV in bedroom can't with how it's laid out so i would turn wall behind where heads go.
Move side tables to where heads would be if they can do that if not we would have to pass
I would pay to have it fix
Dialysis patient spend alot.of days in bed very sick
Josh, out of curiosity, why do RV manufacturers default to a theater seat? I know that by the number of upvotes my derogatory comments on them im not alone. There is a significant minority like me who hate them.
Why are manufacturers using all glass doors on a moving trailer???
What kind of blinds does it have?
With the exposed strings it look like they are pleated blinds.
Pleated
🎉#NetdHerd.... oven is a must as a secondary heat source in an emergency...
Never considered there.. Not recommended for safety but in an emergency I get you're just doing the best you can with what you got
No place for CPAP
I like when they make a cubby for the CPAP behind those closets, almost think it should be a standard thing.
Listen, if they're going to the effort of making a couples trailer that more than likely is aimed at empty nesters why on earth would they omit a place for CPAP? Complete deal breaker.
Every
Time
I do think including space for a CPAP stand would be good for sure. You're not the first to comment on it
I do not like that lighting. I would feel like I was in Walmart
No. Just no. Not a room that is close to perfect. May as well not even have a kitchen. Too little bedroom storage. I do like the little table by the door. If it hadn't been Josh presenting this one I would have tapped out at first look.
I’ve yet to find the one everyone enjoys. Ty for watching and sharing
Sometimes knowing what people like is also valuable
Pushing 30’ is not a “small RV”.
Another design failure
I like this one. Kinda wish there was an oven, not sure if that's a huge negative 😕
Air fryer works as the oven, so not terrible
@MAINEiac71 true, but have you ever tried to air fry a baked pasta dish? 🤣 I have, it's not quit the same. But, this has so many other pros!!
@@laattardo yes it has a bake setting like an oven
Portable ovens are available for outdoors or table top.
Ovens are funny in RVing
You either never use them and don't care they're gone which is most people
Or you absolutely cannot NOT have an oven
