Hi...i bought 2 pairs of jbl gto609c component speakers and looking for an 4 channel amplifier which would be perfect fit for them, can you suggest any amplifiers which would be perfect fit for them. please recommend jbl amplifiers too. confusing thing is these speakers are 3 ohms so can i use 4 ohmn amplifier?
Question : I have a 2004 Honda Accord EX-L and im looking to upgrade all speakers (6) including the tweeters. I already have the tweeters (Alpine SPS 110TW rated at 100 rms 300 watt max) and i have my eyes on a couple of door and rear speakers that are all at 300 watt max. Does this mean I have to buy a 6 channel LOC and a 300 watt amp? 900 watt amp? Im confused AF !! Help !! What amp/ LOC would you guys recommend for this setup?
I don't know much about stereo systems, but I'm trying to learn. I'm not sure of what I need to be looking for in an amp. I plan on getting new door speakers also, there are door speakers in the front and back seat of my car. I have a box with 2 subs in it. So how many channels do I need my amp to have? Or should I run separate amps for the subs and door speakers?
yes please start series again. is bypassing my factory amp nessecary ( 07 dodge ram), i just want to replace the lame gps with a simple reciever and should i buy a new amp. i’ll upgrade my speakers too but no sub,,, no room
Hi, I have Renault Duster 2017 model with stock stereo and speakers. I want good quality in-car sound and not too loud. I am planning for 4 components with 4 channel amplifier. should I choose high end quality stereo with average amplifiers or vice versa. I am not sure if the sound is coming through Amplifier, does stereo's circuit and quality contribute to the sound quality. Please guide me.
+killstike999 I know! We're sorry we haven't gotten there yet. Our video department has been busy with other projects, have not been able to expand on the Car Audio 101 series yet. :'[ Stay tuned though, we have some good stuff coming in 2016!
What is a good brand amp, subwoofer, and speakers to buy? I own a custom 68 Impala and it has the speaker wiring all there to the truck from the last owner but I want to buy some new parts now. My home speakers are 700W (300W sub) and they are as loud as my other trucks factory speakers. Most subs I find are only 300-500W. I want to be able to play it loud at car shows and parades with nice sound
Really appreciate these video's this was the best idea you guys have ever done, always wanted to learn about the car stereo system and how it is set up great job keep doing good guys
Could you just do a video on setting the HPF and LPF on the amps and HU. Really in depth. Also setting the gain on a 4 channel amp. UA-cam is littered with ones on how to do a sub amp but no 4 channel amps. Thanks
Im planning on running 2 kicker L7's 12"s with a second dry cell battery and upgraded alternator. Im just stuck on which amplifier to get. Help pleaseeeeee
Hey guys...thanks for the awesome vids..and plain english explaining of how all this works..i have a quetion though..ive set my nissan titan up with a jl audio amp to run after market jl audios on my door speakers. Im now ready for the bass part. My neighbor is offering a great deal on a pair of 12" kicker cvr 2ohm i believe their from 2007. Now they are in a ported box which is huge...ive already ordered my custom box which will be sealed. And it will be placed under the rear seats as 1 big box. My question is will the performance of those subs suffer due to the fact that now they will be in a sealed box and not a ported one as it came from the manufaturer? Please help...oh and btw im running all this to my stock stereo. Which i dont kno if it makes any diff to my question. Thanks guys..
Hi Idk if you're still wondering.... But I also had a pair of those CVR 12s CompR 2007 sounds about right I had them in a ported box and a sealed box which is what your asking about When I had them in a ported box the bass highs were very good but mids and lows suffered in bass. When I had them in a plain simple Sealed box , the subwoofer overall sounded better. Idk I had the q bomb subwoofer ported box its bigger than Sealed ones. You said your going to put them under the seat so that it self would result in a different bass experience too.
Hi idk if you're still wondering ... but only radios WITH subwoofer outputs and with a an "active" subwoofer can run a subwoofer. Yes you can but you need the correct radio which it seems like you do based on your comment Active subwoofer means that a subwoofer that comes with an amp from manufacturer so you don't need an amp for it. They are more expensive but very practical. Look up active subwoofer This is years later and is more cheaper now to get one.... anyways goodluck. 👌🏻
So it's good to have an amplifier for 4 speakers & another amp to power a subwoofer? Is that correct 😋 Because I want 4 speakers and a 10" sub in a ported box 😋 that's the goal.
+CodeOneGaming We're just as bummed we haven't gotten to more of these yet. Our video department has been busy with other projects, have not been able to expand on the Car Audio 101 series. :'[
+Dean Tuna Yes, as long as you don't over power them and filters are set properly. Take a look at this video on running component speakers active vs passive, see if it helps you out at all. ua-cam.com/video/dPLxW1sLKao/v-deo.html
Maybe one of you will know? I hooked up an amp and sub in the back but when I switch to cd or aux on the radio it doesn’t transmit any sound to the amp and almost nothing in the regular back speakers? But it works fine on am fm radio?
ok so what if I want to power 4 speakers at 50 watt RMS each and 2 - 250 watt RMS subs. What kind of amp do i need? a 5channel? Or a monoblock for the subs and a 4 channel for the speakers? Idk im new to this
Really appreciate these video's this was the best idea you guys have ever done, always wanted to learn about the car stereo system and how it is set up great job keep doing good guys
This video explains so much without getting so complicated like most other videos, thanks!

Hey sonic I have a pioneer DEH-6450BT and it said it have a direct sub drive to connect a woofer without a need of a amplifier
can i really do that ?
Hi idk if you're still wondering ... but only radios WITH subwoofer outputs and with a an "active" subwoofer can run a subwoofer.
Yes you can but you need the correct radio which it seems like you do based on your comment
Active subwoofer means that a subwoofer that comes with an amp from manufacturer so you don't need an amp for it.

Would an amplifier remove tinny noise?

Is this gonna be a daily series?
Not daily, these videos take time to make, especially as they become more in depth and involved. But we will be cranking them out as fast as we can!
