Thanks for the video! I have these in the mail, my first real set of skates after starting on some K2 soft boots. You definitely got me hyped for them.
yooooo! That's awesome to hear you have some on the way, let me know how you get on with them. They are a great skate, comfy and perform well. Im excited for you to get on them!
Great review video for the 90s. I've been wearing the 80s for a few months now and they're terrific. Mostly rec skating on bicycle trails, and hopping curbs in the city. The removable frames are a big plus, I plan on throwing on 3wd and a set of 100mm later.
I love the look of the 80’s , the color way is bangin! Hyped to hear you have been loving yours so far, they are a great skate for sure. I’m looking forward to trying them out loads more over the summer months ❤ and yes you are right, the fact you can swap the frames over is the one
Oh wow you must of done a lot of skating already then! The 110 look so nice too, love that colourway. Need to jump on my 110 twister set up again some point soon. You’ve reminded me of how much fun they can be 🎉
@SiCoburn had them pre-ordered. Did a lot of trails, city, and neighborhood carving. The white shell toes are scuffed up but otherwise going strong. Looking forward to the FR Neo 1 release next.
Just ordered them to start skating again after 20 years hiatus. First I bought FR3, but they were too narrow for my wide feet, then I wanted to go for RB 80 but the design of the Lightning 90s is great and the memory buckles also seem nice to have. Now I hope they'll fit, since they have a delivery time of 2 weeks. Can't wait to start skating (or eating dirt)
@@ljhooka3735 Not as wide as the RB80/Cruiser and toe box is also more narrow than I thought, but they definitely feel better than the FR3. The memory buckles are also great. Now I'm thinking of either sizing up, since despite my 279mm, the size 43/44 liner (recommended up to 285mm) is pretty tight on my toes and foot width is still not optimal, or I'll go for the RB 80
You are obviously an OG skater it would be awesome to see your take on a power stop tutorial. I only started skating 6 months ago and I'm slowly improving but I can't seem to master a good quick stop. 😊
@@SiCoburn 👋🏼Ah thanks dude, I really appreciate that - I'm SO excited, I literally can't wait. Ex-ice hockey🏒 player & not skated for years, super stoked by the prospect of skating again, as it's been too darn long!
I just bought some GAWDS Atons (3 wheels) over the lightning 110 by rollerblade because of the frame length 255mm(RB) VS 270mm (GAWDS) and also because it seems to me that the GAWDS boots are lower to the wheel making you stand less tall. I know this video is not the 110 wheel height but I feel that somehow Rollerblade still has some obvious growth in design.
I'm kinda back and forth between these and the Flying Eagle X7Ds right now... The main difference out of the box being that the Flying Eagles have a 'slight natural rocker' to them. I much prefer the look of the lightning 90s, but i'm a bit worried about my nimbleness on the tight trails we have with flat 90s.
Yeah I like the look of the lightning and also love the fact they come in different colourways and wheel size options! Will get a magic slide tutorial done soon 👊❤
Great video and review Si 👍 and look at you rocking the 90,s lol. Just a hint when you go to NY to skate with a certain someone you might wanna bring the speedy 90,s lol
That’s Dru! Yeah I’m a fan of the 90’s, I used to skate the endless 90 for a good while and loved them. Definitely prefer a slight rocker though instead of just flat 90. Haha yeah I better bring my speed game to New York 😂
Hmm good question! It feels quite similar to be honest, I think the memory buckle allows a bit more toughness around the ankle and 45 degree strap so you can really lock your foot in the skate.
I'm torn between the Lightening 80's and these, I want a skate that's agile and quick that rolls well but one I can do long distances on too would these be the better option or the 90's?
Lightning 90 or Twister XT for someone with fairly narrow feet who is starting out again after 20 years and wants to get rid of his old K2 Velocity? Thx
Hey! Great to hear your are starting out again , that's exciting. So the Twister is a tight fit than the Lightning. It's more of a snug fit but if they fit nice then it's such a good skate. The lightning I would say is a little wider for sure. If you have narrow feet you should be fine in both skates.
Please, wear at least a properly fitted & attached helmet if you don't want to end up as our friend in that YT. Of course, it's also people who have been roller skating for quite a while who end up with brain injuries, not only beginners 🤕🤕🤕 ua-cam.com/video/DrJfyHDxgbw/v-deo.html also: ua-cam.com/users/shortsb_eH6iApFm0

Thanks dude for the kind words, I’ve been doing it a long time

Already on my second set of wheels with the 110 Lightnings. Love them!

@@floridastackerWould these 90's be good for all that too?
I’m sold!
Helllll yeah! They are a great skate , really been enjoying mine . Let me know how you get on with them!
Thanks for this video. Going to get mine tomorrow.
ooooooooh hell yeah!! let me know how you get on with them. excited for you!

Hey how are you getting on with the Lightning??

Those kind of stops are advanced, hence why it's difficult
Thoroughly enjoyed this.
WICKED work.
5 days from my Twister XT's arriving & excited.
Hell yeah!! The Twisters are so good, they look amazing and feel it too . Enjoy man

Great skating i learn a lot, so natural

the lightning mold design is fresh. Btw. waiting for your magic slide tutorial and tips here...

Hi try those in the shop and olso the Igon cl 15 wich one would recommend?
Great video! How does the forward flex compare with Twisters?
Hmm good question! It feels quite similar to be honest, I think the memory buckle allows a bit more toughness around the ankle and 45 degree strap so you can really lock your foot in the skate.
One question, I want to get back into skating and I don't know what to buy. Which is better, the Twister Edge X or the Lighting 90? Great video!
I'm torn between the Lightening 80's and these, I want a skate that's agile and quick that rolls well but one I can do long distances on too would these be the better option or the 90's?
Great video, you skate like dany, spoint good sport
Thank you man, never a bad thing to be compared to Danny. He is a proper G. ❤
Do you go half a size smaller?
Awesome testing, samples, and video all around! What size were those?
So these are a size UK 8!
Thanks for the kind words
Hi, I have no idea if this is recommended but; if I don’t like 90mm on the lightning 90, could I change them to 80mm?
Yeah man for sure , they would definitely for the 80mm Frame on for sure
Wow your movements look so solid, even without any tricks
Cheers 🙏 I’ve been doing it a long time now so I think I’m more comfortable on my skates than what I am in my trainers or walking 😂

What is the size of the skates in this video? This is a very important information.
Hey! These are a size UK 8
@@SiCoburn Thanks! For UK size 8 the length of this frame is perfect.
is that York? Looks like the river in the centre...
Yooo nah this is bristol , never actually skated in York before. One to hit up soon
