Thank you 🙏 The Twister X is a great skate, it was a little on the right side for me but still had fun on them. I am a fan of the new wider fit in the XT and that’s made them my favourite Rollerblade skate for sure.
Thanks man! Yeah I think it’s something I need to start doing more often, will get so much more out of my wheels. They slide so well though when they coned off though 😂
I think rollerblade should make a aggressive twister tbh it looks like it can be a sick ag skate just needs soulplates tbh I would love to see it happen
Ahhh man yeah I’ve had this convo with a few people, it would be soo good. All it would need is a soul kit that makes it UFS compatible and it would be good to go. I love the look and the shape of the boot though!
🙏🏼THANK YOU for this honest review. After not skating for 3 decades I've just bought a pair of these Twister XT babies in the biggest/boat size & I'm so stoked with em. Admittedly taking it easy, but man, these things are lovely. PS: your dog rocks too!🤙🏼
That’s amazing to hear you want to get back into skating! Good question though. Both skates have their advantages. I would say the Lightning is more for just cruising around as such, it’s light , the plastic is a bit softer and quick and easy to take on and off. The Twister is built a little more sturdy and I feel can take a bit of a beating so it’s better for jumping around whether it’s in the streets or in a skatepark and it’s great for just cruising on. I am a big fan of air vents on the Lightning though, they help keep air flow through your liner to keep you feet cool
Quick one to mention! I would ideally go with the Twister XT though as it’s a slightly wider boot compared to the Twister edge X. I would suggest trying a pair on before you buy if you are able to
I love my Twisters. Both my wife and I own a pair. I do wish the top strap wasn't as finicky though. Seems like I can't get them as tight as I'd like sometimes.
Yeah I know what you mean, there are times throughout my skate sessions where I feel I need to tighten up my right skate. Only ever seems to be the right skate for some reason! I’m glad you and your wife are loving the Twister skate though! ❤
Thanks for the message , glad you enjoyed it! There might be something in the works with the lightning ⚡️ I like the idea of the comparison video though
Great video. I just got my XTs last night and I'm super excited to get out on them after getting back into skating with some cheap Bladerunners. You said you have been skating XTs for a few years but these ones are only about 7 months old, why did you have to get new skates?
I just ran my other ones into the ground, I was skating almost everyday jumping stuff , taking heavy falls on them, applying lots of extra pressure from certain tricks and travelled a lot with them. In a nutshell they were battered but still super comfy. I still use them from time to time as I have put a 90mm wheel set up on them. How are you finding yours?
@@SiCoburn To be honest, I've only had a chance to try them on for size. I have nowhere nearby to try out skates so I just had to make my best guess. But just from that, they already felt amazing. I was surprised that they didn't feel much heavier than my "recreational" cheap skates. Just from having them on my feet while on carpet, they felt much more like they were an extension of my foot. I cannot wait to get out in the neighborhood with them, maybe take them to the pump track, and definitely take them to San Diego.
Yeah they are pretty light weight on your feet aren’t they! I couldn’t get over the comfort level when I first put them on, was like putting my feet into clouds haha. Let me know how you get on at the pump track and man they are going to feel incredible in San Diego! Very jealous of that 😂❤
Hi Si, first of all I love this format of review etc. keep it going. ❤ Secondly a question, is the twister shell sizing comparable with the lightning? Aside that the lightning is a little wider fit.
Thanks for the nice words about the video, I’m glad you enjoyed it! Boot size is always a tricky one to answer because everyone has different size and shaped feet. I personally find the Twister XT wider than the Lightning , on the side of the boot anyway but I feel the Lightning has more room around the toe area. I have quite a wide foot on the side though! Best bet would be to try before you buy if that’s an option
Cute pup 😊
Great video and great skates! I'm always haunted by the thought I got the last Twister X before they released the XT 🥶
Thank you 🙏

Love the new format! Great footage. I was surprised to see you don't rotate your wheels though!

Yeehh man, perhaps an aggressive footplate to fix onto it, shouldn't be too difficult to produce? I'd buy one for the XT boot;) for sure
Let’s just keep our fingers crossed 🤞
cool going to buy some tommorow

That’s good to hear man , hope you have some good fun on them. Let me know how you get on 👊
@@SiCoburn Thanks man, absolutely will do!
One question, I want to get back into skating and I don't know what to buy. Which is better, the Twister Edge X or the Lighting 90?

Love the new format. And great edit!! Is there any interest in making a Lightning vs Twister comparison video?
Thanks for the message , glad you enjoyed it! There might be something in the works with the lightning ⚡️ I like the idea of the comparison video though
Thanks for the video 🙏 How do these compare to the FRs?
These or the Lightening 90's for a beginner touring skate sir
Cant wait for the next one bud! 🙌
Thank you man ❤

Nice Si👏👏👏. Great format. And even though I'm about a hundred ability levels below you😊 I'm loving my Twisters too.
Thanks man! Ahh doesn’t matter what level you are at , as long as having fun on skates that’s all that matters . Thanks for the message 👊
Nice one!🎉
Thanks broski!

Why this skates looks cheap😢 I think rollerblade brand most expensive, than its real value
