- This video is all about the new Rollerblade Lightning! I recently got the Lightning in 90mm and so in this video I am comparing the 90mm to the 80mm skate. If you haven’t already go checkout my Rollerblade Lightning review for more information!

My boyfriend and I are trying to get into rollerblading, I think we’re gonna go with the 80mm!
Be sure you get a hard boot. Soft boots lack adequate ankle support, and you will have pronation problems. Pronation can be trained out, but still.
@@rururu5630 thanks for the advice!!
Recommend these for starters but stick to the 80 if you wanna start off. You can always get a new frame and put the 90 mm wheels and bigger !!
Speaking from experience its a really great skate highly recommend !
The longer frames are also best if you have a longer foot. I wear a size 12 and frames made for 80mm wheels are sooo unstable. Once I went to a longer frame with the 90s (you can still rock 80s on the longer frame for faster acceleration and more agility) I finally experienced the stability smaller-footed skaters had always known and I loooove skating
I have a pair of Twister 110 blades (3 wheel) that I use for urban/fitness skating. Those big wheels roll over anything w/out making you stumble and are also very fast and require less energy. I also have a pair of standard 80mm skates that I use for the rink and skate park as they are WAY easier to do tricks on... not that I am all that good at tricks but I bust my butt 5x more often when trying to do tricks on my 110 wheels...
🙌💗 so nice to have both!!!
I love the rollerblade lightning 90 as a newbie to rollerblading , great video thanks for sharing!
Thank you!! And that’s so awesome to hear!! 💓🤙🤗
Can we have a durameter conversation because I'm used to quads outdoors and 78a was life but my inlines have 82a 74mm wheels and I don't hate them but I don't love them either, the vibration is CRAZY 😂. Thanks in advance 😊
😅😂 yes we can! I can make a video at some point but basically harder wheels are better for street skating, so above 85A. It’s not like rollerskates at all. I truly don’t understand rollerskate wheel hardness but it’s not the same
Very helpful, thank you!
You're welcome!🥹🤗🙏🎉
Wheel size is interesting. My kids have skates that are 72mm but can fit 80 and my other kid has a skate that is 72 but can fit 76. I really wonder how much my 7 year old will notice a 4mm difference? 🤔
hey did you use to live in seattle?? trying to find these specific rollerblades that basically almost looked like those black in pink ones that i remember commenting on a previous youtubers
and by that i mean if you are the youtuber i commented on
I did used to live in Seattle! I worked at shoptask inline skate shop. If you’re in Seattle you have to go there!! They are so helpful and will help you find your perfect skate!
Awesome video
Thank you!!! 🥹🥹🙏🤙
I like the 80 mm colors all my skates have been black but I want 90mm
Same I like the white color more. You can always buy a different 90mm frame to put on the white if you have the budget for it. I feel the struggle tho
I did buy a decent set of flat 90s, and I promise I tried my hardest. They're just too long - it's like skating on skis. I've gone back to very close-set 80s, I need the agility
You should look into a rockered setup for 4x90. Endless 90 Frames have a slight rocker which allows better maneuvrability while still having the stability of a longer wheelbase and larger wheels.
Wow, so informative, SUBSCRIBED!! :)
Nice knee socks!! That brand are?
Pop flex!
Love you both 🙌🏾💜🦉
Hi Polly. I have the new men's Lightning 80s. I know the frame probably isn't meant for this but.... I really want to be on smaller wheels. Rollerblade says I can put a 72mm on there, but could I possibly get away with putting Hydrogen 60mm on there? I know it may not look great, but what are your thoughts.
How do you buy the right size. I tried putting the foot against the wall but it's WAY past my shoe size.
Will there be a review of the Lightning 110? That one has me intrigued.
Does anyone know if the memory buckles on the lighting can be installed on the RB cruiser?….. I love my RB cruisers but I HATE the buckles
nice information so helpful
Can I replace my 90mm wheels with 80mm on my same 90mm max frame
Yes but the frame length will still be long so you’ll be compromising some of the benefits of the switch
THANK YOU!!!
Do you like rollerblade a lot 😊
I need a new pair of skates. I've been using 80 wheels but I regularly do 15 miles. Is 84 wheels ok or should I go 90?
84 wheels is good! If you have a choice I would say 90, but nothing wrong with 84 just a little smaller
Hey i have a question i can only purchase these online so im trying to find which size would be best for me im a 10.5 in shoe size so my options when i go to purchase are either 10 or 11 which would you recommend since it comes with the extra foot pad
Get the 10/10.5 it’s a size 10.5 the way it comes and a 10 if you add the extra foot sizer in the box. And they fit really true to size. 😁
Thank you just ordered cant wait for them to come in
@@el_chicano2097 oh yay!!! I’m excited for you!! I love mine I literally have two of them haha lmk how it goes!
Definitely will thank you
Can I put 80mm wheels on the Lighting 90?
You caannnnn but it would be better to get an 80mm frame for that
finally a Polly video
Recently (since I finally got some 100mm wheels about a month ago) I have been alternating between a endless 100/110 with 4x100 wheels and FR1 90 with 4 90mm wheels on 2 different sets of FR1 skates. I really like the stability and speed of the 4x100 setup.
Hi Polly, I noticed that in most of your videos, you don’t have a carry-on with you. Could you share how you carry your keys, phone, and other essentials while you skate? Thank you.
First, to comment.😂 I thinking of getting a pair of the 90mm
🙏 good choice! They are super fun! 🤗💕
I finally upgraded my twisters with a balanced rockered 90mm and coming from 80mm flat setup, im enjoying 90mm soooo much! Reference: I'm size 8/8.5
I thought it was + - 1.5 for US shoe sizing.
For rollerblade brand it’s 1, plus all their boots come with a footboard sizer to plus or minus a half size which makes it really nice for fitting
