This is the best video I ve ever seen. You explain clearly and gives the audience the time to follow and understand. You are a wonderful comminucator. Respect from the UK.
Thanks for the video. Very informative. I did not know about the different colors, will surely inspect this when touring new homes under construction !
I just git a job at home depot... coming from a father and grandfather carpenter i have seen dry wall being put up more times in my life that i can count but still needing to know more to better help with sales knowledge.. look up some vids to help with speaking with customers about different products.. i give your video a 🙏and a ❤.. kept me engaged, and i remember everything i learned
@@Trevkongable im going to talk to my regular manager about contacting you to make sales videos... i know its probably a one in a million shot but .. every ahot not taking is guaranteed to miss ... and im sure the money is phenomenal
I am not sure how much soundproofing it would be over the 1/2. I would look at the use of foam for soundproofing, and as far as warmth, I don't think drywall has a very high R factor for the 1/2 or 5/8
holy shit..so its gyproc slabs lol.. in asian countries this is used for ceiling..false ceiling and insulation...didnt knew its used for building a whole house too
I’m not quite sure what your question is directed at. I’ve used 3/8, and 1/2, for walls and 5/8 drywall for ceilings. I don’t recall ever going sing 3/4 drywall though.

My Pleasure!
would it be uncommon to use 5/8 on the walls as well? does it provide better soundproofing or warmth?

@Trevkongable yep, as for the wall/bulding foundation itself, like other countries in the world 😁
In where i come from this not used much. But looks like they are more common in the western countries
Yes, it is very common in the United States

In my country they just call them gypsum boards.
Cool, what country friend?

My house was built in '78 For some reason they did 1/2 walls and ceilings. Go figure!
That’s interesting
y de 3/8"?
Sometimes a wall doesn’t line up with a different wall if 1/2 or 5/8 is used and there needs to be a thinner piece instead
3/4 drywall for what?

@@Trevkongable i want to know where we use 3/4 drywall?
3/8 drywall is commonly used in mobile homes.
