How to calculate a proportion
Mr. Kongable and his students needed a way to determine the correct size of chess peices to 3D print, so they solved that problem with a proportion.
To solve a proportion, you cross multiply and divide to determine the unknown number

Learning about AIR RESISTANCE by dropping EGGS
Переглядів 3214 годин тому
In Mr. Kongable's Physical Science class, we learned about Newton's laws and Air Resistance. We tested Air resistance by building contraptions that would harness the air and keep an egg from plummeting to the ground and breaking. Some were successful and some were not. Disc Golf Course REDESIGN!
Переглядів 4214 днів тому
The students had to be creative in creating a new hole to replace the old number 1 hole of the disc golf course. The bus barn was built and elimitated the old number 1 hole, so the students chose to move the hole to a new spot and made the course better. Technology is a Tool ( Calculating the Speed of an object)
Переглядів 5421 день тому
Mr. Kongable discusses how technology should be used as a tool to better understand your world, not as a distraction. Mr. Kongable's Physical Science class used a range finder to find a distance and then timed a drone flight to that distance. They then used that data to calculate the speed of the drone with the equation: speed = distance / time Music is copyright free: Drink Great Coffee: Rever...

Questions: what do you do if the window doesn't come out because it's part of the door?
You can do it in place if the glass comes out, or you can take the door apart if that is a possibility. I can’t say for sure without seeing the door.
Okay, how to do this without a 3000sqft fully equipped shop?
All you need is a flat surface. I’ve done this in a small garage on the floor before. The shop had better lighting for the video.

I love hickory! I have collected a lot of hickory nuts and planted them in my woods. I've planted red and white oak and black cherry as well. We already have 70% maple on the property. The hickory grain is beautiful. It makes amazing cabinets!

It looks like your froe blade is on the handle upside down. The sharp edge needs to be on the outside of the "L" shape. You strike the blunt end with a mallet while the handle is up above the blade so that you can push and pull to split the chunk. Maybe I am seeing it wrong?
I went back and watched the video and it does look like that, but I can assure you the sharp part of the blade is on the outside of the L. It would be pretty hard to use the other way around

1:15 It was at this point I was already cringing, & just waiting for what would be next was scary. Glade you were successful. To get Acid corroded batteries out, all you need is Lemon Juice, & a bit of patience. One Drop, wait 30 seconds, Sling any liquid off, another drop another 30 seconds, Sling & repeat till the Battery slings out. Depending How Bad, just keep on, Drip, 30, Sling, Repeat. This has worked for me on a 4 Battery Deep issue that took about 5 or so Repeats. Once the First battery came out the Juice can really do some work. Once the batteries are out, Alcohol or Electrical cleaner is advised. Q-Tip & Lemon Juice will clean your terminal easy peasy. And I have very old Flashlights that I have used this method on, and they still work. It will not destroy your Flash Light. OK That Said - Prevention is Key to Heart Ache prevention. Do No Drop your Batteries. Do Not Use Batteries that have been Dropped. I would even suggest, If you Drop your Flashlight, it is time to Replace the Batteries Soon. Like RIGHT after your Camping trip or what ever. Damage (even slight) is what Usually causes Batteries to start leaking.
