- This particular instrument has an amazing sustain, so this piece is well suited to highlight this nice feature to have on a classical guitar.
Hope you like it.
Guitar: 1979 Yamaha Grand Concert GC-15, built by Ezaki.
Microphones: Oktava MK-012 and Sontronics STC-3X
Reverb: Soundtoys SuperPlate
Fantastic job on a very difficult piece . The harmonics on that Yamaha are amazing all over .
Thank you so much guynoir!
I very loved it.!! . and Debussy surely would love to ear its composition being played with such a care and sentiment. (And yout instrument was perfect in your hands.),,
Oww, that’s very kind of you! Thank you and hope you have a good day.
Unbelievable. I was recently re-introduced to 'Claire de Lune' in the film 'Ocean's 11' and after listening to several orchestral and piano performances I wondered whether justice could be done to it on the guitar. And now the algorithm recommended this! Thank you for this beautiful piece!
Thank you so much for the kind words, especially since you have been listening to other versions too. Much appreciated!
It looks like all the appropriate adjectives have already been taken. Beautifully done.
Thank you so much Jay! Cheers
Wow...love the interpretation. Beautifully played...thanks for posting.

Not quite, but thanks, lol…

Holy s#%t! That was pretty. Thankyou.
Hahaha, thank you Charles! Enjoy your weekend and hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
So wonderful!
Many thanks!
Absolutely wonderful. Lovely tone and sustain from that Yamaha. I'll be looking out for an older classical, possibly a Suzuki or Yamaha, there's just something about the tone of older instruments.
Thank you! If you are in the U.K., I will sell my other Yamaha (a 1971 GC6-D, which you can see on my Torija video), at a good price!
@@doctor7music91 Many thanks for the offer. Im in Scotland. I've just listened to some videos/music, lovely tone and performance.
@ thank you again Pete! Cheers,
Wonderful piece permormed wonderfully!!! Thank you!
Thank you Vasilis! All the best to you…
@@doctor7music91All the best to you too! Is the score available?
@ it’s not expensive. If you search for “Clair de Lune John Bishop Edwards” you’ll find it, and it includes TAB as well (although there are a few mistakes in the TAB).
@@doctor7music91 Thanks a lot!
Incredibly beautiful!
Thank you so much Mark! Cheers
Beautiful...
Thank you my friend! Hope all is well and that you’re having a good progress with your second guitar.
excellent job
Thank you very much!
Lovely playing!
Thank you Sammy! Cheers
Amazing playing. Very difficult piece done with such precision.
Thank you Steve! Cheers,

Lovely. I enjoyed listening. New subscriber
Awesome! Thank you for subscribing and hope you like the content. I’ll be posting less this month as I am preparing for a concert, but by mid December I’ll come back to posting more. Cheers!
Maravilloso Francisco un abrazo
Gracias tío! Cariños por allá!
Sublime
Thank you so much!
❤❤❤❤Parabéns!! Muito Lindo!❤❤❤
Valeu Regina!!
You play on a fretless guitar. This demonstrates your professionalism. I aspire to master the bass guitar (electric and acoustic) as my first instrument and possibly become as proficient as you were in this video. Thanks for this upload!
Thanks a lot, but the guitar is not fretless, so am not sure what you meant. I have played fretless basses but never a fretless guitar. Cheers,
@doctor7music91 My bad my good sir, it's evident that I am still a noob in this regard, I thought that frets were just the little white dots we see in most guitar-based instruments, but it turns out they are those wooden lines across the neck of the intrument. Cheers!
@@AmethystNoir-Official no worries at all and welcome to this beautiful world of music!
Beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!
what a beautiful piece played amazingly! Well done!
Thank you Michael, much appreciated!
Excelente Pancho, como siempre, abrazos!!!!
Gracias querido!
Hola Matias, muchas gracias! Lamentablemente no puedo compartir la partitura pero la encuentras online y no es cara (US$5), y viene con TAB. Busca a jamesbishopedwardsguitar.com
amazing
Thank you! Cheers!
Merci
You are welcome and thank you for taking the time to listen.
Maybe i need to play this pieces again😔
Everyone that knows how to play it should come often back to it, and everyone who has the skills should learn it too. It’s so beautiful!
Que bello
Muchas gracias!
My guitar cant do that😂
I’m pretty sure it can! You need to read the manual to learn how to press the right buttons, lol. Thanks mate!
Mine cannot either. I wonder if they are related.
@ lol!
This needs more views than a cover of a Black Sabbath tune by a girl in a short dress …but we live in a strange world!!! ❤
Hahaha, thanks! Maybe I’ll make another video of this, but wearing a bikini instead, lol. Seriously though, I really appreciate your comment. Cheers,
Nice. Before listening, I didn’t think this could possibly work well on instrument that was not a pianoforte
Thank you for checking it out! Cheers
amazing play, can i have the guitar tab, please, thank a lot
Thank you! If you search for John Bishop Edwards - Claire de Lune, you’ll find the score and it comes with guitar TAB as well. It’s not expensive. Good luck!
By any chance, could you please share who made the arrangement and where could I find it? Amazing performance by the way, it was really beautiful with clear notes!
Of course: John Bishop Edwards. If you search for this name and the name of the piece, you’ll find it. The score is not expensive and comes with TABs as well.
@@doctor7music91 Thank you so much! I find your performance the most beautiful I've found.
Pancho, great performance as always. Whose arrangement is this?
Thanks Mauricio! This arrangement is by John Bishop Edwards (I made 2 or 3 little mistakes towards the end, wrong notes, but anyway…)
love your vid man, btw .Are you transcribe all this? Its very nice.
Thank you! The arrangement is by John Bishop Edwards.
damn
For good or bad? Cheers
@@doctor7music91 oh absolutely for good! Mind blown! Just spend two hours trying to repeat 30 seconds of you playing :) mad respect
Guapo
Gracias!
So sweet... thank you! Where can I find this arrangement?
Search for John Bishop Edwards Claire de Lune score. It includes a TAB as well, although it has a few minor mistakes.
@@doctor7music91 thanks! I found it.
Marcio Stefanuto posted also his arrangement, for free in his video.
@@kof3017I will check it out as well! I have used Marcio’s arrangement for Chopin’s Fantaisie Impromptu as a starting point for my own arrangement. He is good!
@@doctor7music91 Ah, so you know him! He's brazilian like myself, and his channel is not very well known. He plays even Moonlight Sonata mov. 3!😯
Beautifully done. How hard would this be for a beginner / intermediate to play?
Thank you very much! Unfortunately, this is an advanced arrangement, therefore not suited for beginners or even intermediate players, especially because of the left hand (lots of wide stretches and requires very precise movements).
@@doctor7music91 I see, thank you! I hope to one day play as nicely as you do!
@@Odo.. I hope you play it better than me. Just keep practicing! The guitar is the most wonderful musical instrument…
Impressive, do you have an arrangement written?
Thanks! This arrangement is by John Bishop Edwards and you can buy it online (includes a TAB).
Very nice interprétation. But it is "Clair de lune", not Claire, sorry.
Thanks for the correction and compliment. I will replace the thumbnail tomorrow. Cheers,
