"Yuki no Shingun"(雪の進軍) "The Snow March" is a Japanese gunka composed in 1895 by Imperial Japanese Army musician Nagai Kenshi who reflected his experience in the Battle of Weihaiwei during the First Sino-Japanese War.

@@glowmobile596 this photo is from the japanese occupation of the Alaskan island of Attu, their most likely fate was death in a surprise banzai charge at the attacking americans a year after the occupation of the island started, it is very unlikely that these two were among the 29 captured, but the song should not be confused with the photo as the song originated from the first sino-japanese war, not WW2

They most likely didn't. The photo is from Attu, in which nearly the entire occupation force was annihilated after a last-ditch banzai charged. Only ~30 were captured. The photo in the video was supposedly found in the pocket of a deceased soldier.
