I bought a 1st edition Umbreon from Neo Discovery in PSA 10 last year for 5,800. It was on your top 10. I also purchased an Evolutions Charizard holo in PSA 10 in January for 1,200. Crazy to see both of my cards double in auction in less than a year!
I could have bought one for £400, but I tried to bargain. It was bought a few days later 😢 I have a 9 though so I’m still happy

Population wise, that 1st Ed Neo Umbreon Mooning makes way more sense than the Umbreon VMAX. The again, the moonbreon VMAX has this obsession associated with it I haven't seen much with other cards... One thing is for sure, Umbreon is going places.

Man the crash is going to be brutal. These values are as bubbly as bubbles get, especially that Moonbreon.
Things do appreciate over time but what is a crash like when something runs up from 700 to 1400 and then settles at 1000? If you bought in at 700 you still did pretty good.
Doubt that card will ever crash, might stabilize though

the market is just recovering from a 3-year recession, prices will go up again before the next crash
The past two years everyone has been super negative with alt arts. Do the math… super tough pulls the Gengar Vmax is 1:800 packs that are now out of print and much more expensive, similar rarity for moonbreon with boxes at $750+ and an insane tough pull for amazing art. I’ve graded and sat on 250+ alts as prices kept dipping I kept buying. Sorry you missed out, the FOMO is real!

Why aren’t lost origin booster box selling for $800? Like the Giratina?
Because your odds of pulling the Giratina are like 1 in 50 boxes (just an off the cuff guess but that should be a low end estimate)... which means if you wanted to "guarantee" you pull the card yourself, it'll cost you @ $7500 to do so... on average.
