Nope, you could actually can buy a lot of these dishes in your freezer already prepared! When we we made stuffed peppers there was no special occasion. Chicken A’ LA’ King was something in the 70’s it was one of those things they done like chipped beef in gravy, you could boil it in the bag it came in and, you served it over white bread. Walking Tacos you usually buy them at Fairs and Carnivals! Goulash it was served for school lunch and, add mozzarella or provolone on top and bake and, the school then, called it Johnny Marizetti! My mom made it at home, a few different countries make it different, the Hungarian version is more like a think one pot hearty stew and, it was made with beef or lamb shanks, in brown gravy with carrots and, potatoes. 11:13

What you are calling stovetop goulash is actually made with ground beef, bell peppers, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and elbow pasta

Onions, I bake mine and, put mozzarella or provolone cheese on top, the school called the baked version Johnny Marezzti! But, there are different versions of goulash! 4:51

@@sonyafox3271 I did forget the onions. My Mom would sometimes swap the elbow pasta for rice, and we called that Spanish Rice

Thanks for sharing your version! It's amazing how recipes can vary. I love the idea of baking it with mozzarella or provolone cheese on top-sounds delicious! The name Johnny Marzetti adds a fun twist. 🍲🧀

Swapping elbow pasta for rice to make Spanish Rice is a great idea! It's fascinating to see how different ingredients can transform a dish. Thanks for the reminder about onions-they definitely add great flavor! 🍚🍅
