The chassis won't fit anything bigger than the V6. What they didn't do, but they could do in a refresh, is to put beefier electric motor on the rear of the plugin hybrid version so that it makes more, rather than less, horsepower than the current. If they then don't detune the V6 so it makes its full 290hp combined with say a 100hp electric motor, throw on some fender flares with wider tires and you'd have an SRT version.

Good looking van. You did a great job showing the styling lines Joe and Lori always great on the camera. This unit should be a hit with the young families. Lots of great design on the inside too. I think they missed an opportunity to offer up a frame-less camera view rear view mirror and the cooled mid row seat but even still it looks very well engineered. I'm truly impressed. Really a great machine to take on vacation.
Interior is way better than the front fascia. I had a 2015 Chrysler 200 S.. Same style steering wheel, same gear knob, as this Pacifica. Even the tach is basically the same as the 200 S. The seats, roof and utility is almost worth the 50 G's.
You are the hardest working man in the biz, my friend! Keep up the good work! BTW, have you reviewed the new 2020 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4? I was just about to buy a 991.2 GT3 but the GT4 seems like the perfect driver's car. It's naturally aspirated and you can get it in a manual, like the GT3 (and I believe those are the only two Porsches that you can say that about), but the GT3 is also mid-engine, giving it an advantage over the rear engine GT3. It's also the right weight and has the right amount of power, and razor sharp handling...so you have the perfect driver's car! Even Car and Driver couldn't think of a bad thing to say about it. It revs super high and that naturally aspirated engine right behind you renders your stereo meaningless, since that's the music you always want to have playing. Right amount of power, razor sharp handling, mid-engine...you can just hit it and not have to be careful with it, as with the GT3. Just let 'er rip!

Awesome review. We have a loaded 2017 Pacifica Limited, but I gotta say this refreshed 2021 looks incredible! Fwiw our early built 2017 has been extremely reliable. 👍🏼 You’re right, Odyssey and Sienna cannot compete with this Pinnacle 😳😳
I have an early build 2017 Limited as well. Now have 65k miles. Reliability has been meh. Here are the issues after warranty expired; replaced head light assembly ~$250, replaced battery at 33 months, rust on hood where it abuts the grill (seen other's with that issue as well) sliding door does not close and latch consistently. Interior has held up nicely. Would I buy a new one? nope.
We had a 17 Limited as well. Transmission was my biggest worry and the reason I got rid of it. It was the 8-speed. Sometimes, going around a corner coasting, when you accelerated out, the engine would rev and then catch a gear creating a very, very hard thunk like the transmission was going to fall out of it. It was also hard shifting about 45-55mph if you stepped on it a little to get a lower gear. The doors had a mind of their own and if you didn't watch them latch, you might walk out to your car a couple hours later only to find the door standing wide open. I'm hopeful they fixed those issues as it was the first year of the Pacifica. Sounds like the 2021 has as different transmission so that's good. Chrysler issued a couple of recalls on the transmission but our issues remained after the supposed fix. I'm sure the sliding door issue was just a first model year issue and has been rectified. Finally, the headphones for the Uconnect entertainment are God awful expensive and the cheap generic ones don't work with Chrysler's system. The battery holder on the headphones was very prone to breaking due to the springs pushing the AA's against the holder. It was such a big issue that Delphi would issue you replacement battery covers for the headphones if you called them. Another great review Joe. By the way, that "chauffer" button on the side of the b-pillar you pushed is actually for the front seats to slide up and forward so those storage bins in the floor of the 2nd row can be opened all the way so you can store the seats. It retains the memory setting of the seat too so when you press it again, the seat slides back to it's previous position.
Rolls Royce has a umbrella spot also, except theirs is when the Roller breaks down and you have to walk in the rain, boy I used it a lot. I have 2016 T & C ready to upgrade and this is it.
I actually love this new van! They kinda snubbed the nose, love the awd, love that it’s like a 300 cause that’s what I have, keep giving Chrysler your input cause I also like all your zonks. This can be the better Durango if they keep working on it. Redesign the back end to be masculine and it’s game set match for all competitors. Women love masculine vehicles also. There’s no soccer mom BMW or Bentley for example. Love Chrysler product after seeing them make a real van!
@@RaitisRides Seriously tho... it's not the laughs perse, but your style and unique approach. For this video, I was truly interested, learned some new things I hadn't considered. The lead-in about Dodge/minivan history was tied nicely to your through-line-all made sense with Dodge effort in this product. The Pacifica is not my game, but I can see it playing for many. I will say, like everything, it's still hard adjusting to the new world prices-maybe it all comes round again, one day seeing you reviewing horse and buggy's (but no whips, just a twinkie on a stick).
Nice job, no wonder you are getting close to 400 k subscribers. Keep up! Is this 9 speeds transmission the same used in Honda vehicles being manufactured by a Japanese company? No wonder the hybrid version transmission resembling parallel hybrid system from Toyota is smoother and more reliable on top of 1.5 less gasoline consumption when battery is exhausted. Onviously AWD is a shame not to offered in hybrid version.
Eh, the insecure ones will end up buying a Ram 1500 and using it as a people hauler, even though its not as well suited for it just for the sake of image. Get better handling, better fuel economy, easier ingress/egress, with this. Get the S-package that's blacked out with aggressive wheels and a race red interior and it doesn't look pedestrian either.

@@derek17005 wow, just bought 2019 and now I am scared. Hopefully we didn't waste 19k for nothing..not a van fan but had to get it because of kids.
Rolls Royce has a umbrella spot also, except theirs is when the Roller breaks down and you have to walk in the rain, boy I used it a lot. I have 2016 T & C ready to upgrade and this is it.
This is very true.
Still the original.......thank you lee ........just wish they could name it what it should be.
Well done, you did it my man, only you could have me watch a minivan video 👏👍
Thanks Don! That really means a lot! I tried to bring some extra laughs in!
Good review I actually laughed when you use the word zonk.😁😁😁😁
Wonderful job brother this mini van is great
Joe when will car reviewers be reviewing the 2021 Lexus LS
Nice job, no wonder you are getting close to 400 k subscribers. Keep up!
Is this 9 speeds transmission the same used in Honda vehicles being manufactured by a Japanese company?
No wonder the hybrid version transmission resembling parallel hybrid system from Toyota is smoother and more reliable on top of 1.5 less gasoline consumption when battery is exhausted. Onviously AWD is a shame not to offered in hybrid version.
Lord this minivan 🚐 got me drooling 🤤. And I don’t like minivans, well i didn’t.
One of my neighbors has a pacifica they look alight I guess
Every middle aged man watching this... asking if this is the one... knows his life is over
Try the hybrid, it rips harder than a 2022 BRZ
LMAO 😂

Eh, the insecure ones will end up buying a Ram 1500 and using it as a people hauler, even though its not as well suited for it just for the sake of image. Get better handling, better fuel economy, easier ingress/egress, with this. Get the S-package that's blacked out with aggressive wheels and a race red interior and it doesn't look pedestrian either.
@@BoopSnoot FCA is such garbage (Pacifica Hybrid was my first large ticket new purchase): ua-cam.com/video/7PlFJ07HgcA/v-deo.html "gas prices go up and poor Lil Johnnie's mother cannot afford gifts for Christmas" Stellantis is the new Atlantis, Stella + Atlantis? Someone told them Atlantis is gone now right?
I’m looking for the 2021 Dodge Durango. Hopefully they’ll offer it with a panoramic sunroof unlike the other years.
I have a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica it has 117 thousand miles and it has camshaft sensor problems and two mechanics changed the sensors and they couldn't fix it, so I decided to take it to the dealer and they gave me an appointment for 15 days because they were full, they also told me that only the analysis charge $ 199 dollars..
It would be great if you put a car seat in there so we could see how it fit! Or how many car seats would fit!
It's a shame they didn't show how to lower the seats in the second row. Furthermore, it would be good if the car were offered with a 3.0 liter diesel. Is it possible to get the Pinnacle with a black leather interior?
