Captain= guy who cleans and fixes everything. Well done.
Thank you!
I hope our paths cross soon you were the channel that inspired me to cruise full time. As usual great video.
Have enjoyed our videos for last few years but this was one of most important in my opinion. O’Day owner here
Thank you, hope you are enjoying your ODay
I was so happy to see Wicked Salty back in my feed. It has been a long time - Too Long! Welcome back.
Varnish the wood trim, is a quick win. Good video.
Agreed, its on the list just purchased the varnish
Ahh yes, the never ending list, just keep rotating thru... Lol, that what we get winter for, other than hard water sailing looks to be so much fun...! Thanx !
Truth! the ever approaching launch date can really light a fire under you too
Lol, yea, used to. The bigger push was for the dock to go in, harhar... But, joints have worn out, don't think I could even gymp around the boat, let alone sail anymore! Started around 8-9 years old. Had a couple of beautiful 40-50' anchored out front for the 4th. Gotta love those classic lines... Hope the holiday was eventful for ya, glad to see y'all inspiring more folks! Thanx !
I am so happy you are making videos again.
Constant Maitinence, and cleaning, I was hoping after all these years they would make something to keep the barnacles off for good lol
Kid - I've watched the two of you from the beginning - just found you again after seeing a 'where are they now' comp. I was newly retired from the CG then, watching your vids and planning how and when to get back on the water, doing what you two were doing. Great to see you two still together and now a Coastie. Best of luck in your career, and to you two as well in your future life together. jeff CPO (ret)
Glad to see you back at it, Wes
Good to see you are posting again. Always enjoyed your well put together video’s.
Thank you, please turn on post notifications so you don't miss out on what's to come!
great video man!!! but once its clean and repaired its alot easy just keeping it maintained then bringing it back from sitting!! keep em coming sir!!
Definitely nice to be able to take it out, but still good amount to get done, will do!
I’m really happy you two are back at it!
Nice to see your channel producing once more ….
Very accurate vid. Sold my 98 C30 this past spring after sailing her to FL from Great Lakes. Great boats. Gonna do some land travel next…. Great vids
Great video. Consider using Kanban for boat projects. It helps with prioritization. I’ve seen Delos use Kanban in some of there videos.
Great to see your Videos again, keep them coming!!!!!!?
Keep them going!
Outstanding instructional video.
Thank you, glad you thought so!
Glad to see you two are back. Your videos were the first ones we watched when contemplating going to Bahamas. We've since take our boat over three times, from Texas! Hope to see you there.
As for maintenance, don't ignore those overhead leaks. The brown staining might be from leeching the core. Replacing rotten core is a big job. Also, don't bother putting wax on oxidized gelcoat. It won't really stick. As you did on the hull, needs to be buffed to remove oxidation and expose good gelcoat. THat will accept wax.
Met you guys in Spainish Wells . Good to see you back at it>
Thanks 4 sharing Wes. Nice to see you 🙂
Thanks JayDog
Been a long time but you're back... Good stuff
Thanks for posting and sharing. Really nice practical & informative video. Whisper is looking all the better from the TLC.
Thank you Lance, always appreciated.
Watching your vid from Pensacola FL at anchor…..glad you guys are back! Semper Paratus
A lot of money, hard work and knowledge is required.
All of which can be attained, maybe not like a Jeff Bezos yacht, but a Catalina 30 for sure
Great video man! You're inspiring me to go out and fix up my sailboat! :-D
Do it, it's a good time!
You've come a long way! I remember watching your first vid. A bunch of wild boys out getting into trouble. Good on ya, Wes! ❤
once a wild boy, always a wild boy
You are so lucky to get a place to keep the boat so close to work.
Ain’t that the truth!
Nice. The cost and the time it took would have been interesting. I’m guessing 2 weeks evenings/weekends and $2,000 including haul out/in.
Really useful info here, thanks for sharing this.
Nice notebook with your to-fix list
Glad you liked it!
Welcome to the catalina fam.
Titan will inspect your mooring!
💯
The point is to inspect it before Titan does!

LOL was actually trying to make a joke in poor taste about the Titan Submarine.
Nice job, Wes! I've followed you guys since the very (and I mean VERY) beginning and thoroughly enjoyed your ICW trip and the Bahamas. So glad that you are still putting out content. Cheers! :)
Nice!
What type of shark was that?
boats looking good, what marina is that? they allow liveaboard?
Boat looks good did you get a great price
Do they make ropes and line for boats like this that last in prolonged sunlight and don’t wear down like that?
it's frays and wears regardless, has to be constantly maintained. You can cover your boat when stored for long periods of time or remove the lines and put them back on.
Land crabs. 😬
