Bloodborne is an incredible game, in my opinion its one of the greatest games ever created, Though i wish it would get a remaster its kinda rough playing in 30 fps, it blows my mind that Sony hasn't green lit a remaster i guess they hate making butt loads of money.
Bloodborne is my favorite Fromsoft game by a margin. It just takes its themes and runs with it. What I love about it is that though it's very much an action game it is Fromsoft's take on horror and that horror is less about dying and more about what people will do for power. Yes the Great Ones are Lovecraftian but in most cases, they're not the terrifying part and are generally victims of the humans trying to become like them (Amygdala and Oedon being big exceptions IMO). Really the actions of the human organizations in the game are the scary part. The Great Ones don't understand what the humans want and the humans want to ascend to the Great Ones level. It's all just results in terrible things that spiral out of control by the time the game starts.
Elden Ring can be quite disturbing sometimes, but Bloodborne is in a whole other level! Still many have considered it their favorite Fromsoftware game and I think that shows just how good it is. PRAISE THE MOON, AND IN THIS UNIVERSE: PRAISE THE OLD BLOOD!
Highly recommend checking out Vaati's Art Competition videos. He's hosted a few fan art competitions with actual money prizes. They've been themed for things like lands people didn't get to see in Dark Souls, prosthetic arms in Sekiro, Elden Ring bosses before it came out, & desired sequels for Bloodborne. Great artwork & an excellent display of creativity from the community, don't even need to be that knowledgeable about the games to follow along.
@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames They're pretty impressive, they even managed to get a Kickstarter funded to publish the submissions for all the competitons into a thick art book. They announced it during the Bloodborne one, really great piece with a beautiful layout.

Bloodborne is my favorite game of all time. And yes on the surface it looks absolutely NUTTY from a storytelling viewpoint without context. But DANG does it get you hooked once you buckle up and dive in.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Haha, it's a learning experience. Everyone gets their teeth kicked in their first playthrough. But now at this day I could play through all of it without dying once I've played it so much.
Absolutely love this game. Bloodborne is perfectly designed, with every mechanic feeding into the gameplay and the story. It is difficult, yes, but the game streamlines players down certain paths that, at least I believe, allows anyone to finish it. With every weapon being completely viable and powerful it means you don't feel left out if you upgrade something. The lore is very digestable too, unlike dark souls 3 and elden ring. The item descriptions are informative and concise (also disgusting and eerie), and the level design telling enough stories as is, means you don't have to read items anyway. It's not too short and not too long, and although you will get lost, I think that's more because of the atmosphere and horror-driven level design then a confusingly-made design. It's like the greatest roast you will ever eat. It's just enough, and feels so good once you've finished eating it. I do consider it my perfect and favourite game. Although the chalice dungeon definitely are a bit of a grind. They're for people who want the best gems or the extra lore from the previous civilisation.
Bloodborne is by far one of my favourite games to play on the PS4/5 and a definite must to play alongside the God of War that came out alongside it I've been making myself play through all the Fromsoft games to completion/Platinum and Bloodborne has been by far my longest achievement as I have been playing it since it launched back in 2015

I love Maxor's videos, but this one will always annoy me beyond words, because he gets one key part of the story *wrong.* Your goal is not to kill the invisible bodiless God baby, it's to *rescue* it. It's been kidnapped by Micolash and his group, for use in a ritual to try and becomes Gods themselves and your goal is to free it to break the ritual and end the hunt.
