Across the Globe, though Grand Canyon is 277 miles long, it stops being a national park before it leaves the state of AZ, and backs off to about 8 mi. from the Colorado R. before it gets to the Havasupai (have-uh-SUE-pie) Reservation about 50 miles downriver, yet remains undeniably huge. Also, since the North Rim can get multiple feet of snow, it's closed during the winter. Also, during part of August (?) is the annual monsoon season, when the majority of Arizona's rain falls--bad time to visit the canyon.
Zion is NOT ZYE-on!! It rhymes with 'lion', and was named after the hill of the same name in Jerusalem.
Mt. McKinley officially became Denali back in 2016.
Just 3% of Yellowstone is in MT, and just 1% is in Idaho.
Feel like Glacier National Park is way better than Bryce Canyon
