I was a freshman at a high school in Queens when The Bridge is Over came out. Maaan, if you were a teenager from Queens at the time, it was embarrassing because everybody in Hip Hop was dissing your borough. I noticed how everyone began to brag about having a cousin from the Bronx or Harlem just to have some "cred", ha ha! Honestly, in the early 80s if you weren't from Harlem, Bronx or Brooklyn you felt like a country bumpkin from the sticks! But I miss those days so much!
Marley is pioneer...I still listen to all that old shit.... that being said, gotta have that Shan too. His style and voice was so unique at the time....
That's Mr.Clyde Stubblefeild on the drums. He wrote his drum parts of the song and those are his sounds. He created those sounds not James Brown. He dosen't get his credit. The pioneers really need to give him his credit.
CaptainCorleone but MC shan was his money making MC no one in the rap game have a better voice then MC shan I'm sorry but Marley marl MC shan was the best MC shan you ever had DJ Marley marl and MC shan king of hip hop
Damn Marley you never said shan name you should of just cropped his pictures out mc shan is always juice crew no matter what the beef is he still deserve to be mentioned
Good interview Marley but ............ you cannot name names in a interview about the Juice Crew and not mention MC Shan ........ you must have beef with Shan if you skip around your best artist.
LL Cool J's walking with a panther album was trash. The hottest song on The Joint was jingling baby, and that was before Marley Marl remixed it. That Remix was crazy.
This nigga lying it was said that marley was shook after magic dissed them magic walked out left marley sitting or standing there with BDP after magic dissed there demo he seem kinda funny style still my favorite tho.
Messiah Black It’s called being smart and cultural, when you have big money and retire, across seas out of the USA is where it’s at...not Florida, btw that state is overrated. Check my dude Raekwon living in Canada for a few years now and Ghostface is moving there too! To keep making money in Hip Hop is not in the states it’s in the UK and Japan.
Lolo Fofo oh please, Kane, kool G & even Craig would've turned shan to dust easily, u bumped ur head or somethin, I heard Craig take out a modern day legend bro, kane is still ready, & Kool G is still ahead of todays lyrics , still
No he didn’t, stop lying, listen to record “The Bridge” not one time on the record did he say “Hip Hop originated or was created in Queensbridge”. Krs One was homeless and needed escape his conditions at the time so he started the rumor and people ran with it

He better not be turning gay, some of his movements are suspect
Wtf
Marley is articulate, well spoken - and you call him gay ? He is not allowed to express himself intelligently ? damm
Wick wick wack !!
Shan tried to make it seem like hip hop started in the Bridge 🌉. Let's keep it real. The Bx had to check that
