You saved my printer from the landfill! Thank you. After I moved cross-country, my printer kept getting a paper jam/carriage can't move error. I didn't pack my ink separate from my printer and I had ink that spilled out. After watching this video, I cleaned the plastic ribbon/tape that you said is a sensor for the carriage and my error finally cleared. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much for this video! It totally saved, my purchase of a brand new printer yesterday that failed out of the box - funny the store warned that "they don't make them like they used to" when I wouldn't take the upsell on coverage. The store was right and HP, shame on you. Without this UA-cam video, I'd have returned the machine today. Finicky cheep stuff but great when they are working. Thanks again!!
Thanks so much! After the real first step - cussing furiously - being told to turn the printer upside down and carefully inspect for tiny bits of debris fixed my problem, even though my printer is a laser, not an officejet.
Thanks for the video. Will give it a try. HP Service Centre said there isn't any parts to change (which I think it cannot be) and asked me to change to a new printer!!!
Hi, sorry.but nothing helped. All sensors are okay, position sensor from the printer head cleaned, nothing. Still got paper jam. Are there optical sensors in the printerhead they can be cleaned. A have a lot of Spraydust in the printing section. Correction: I fixed it!!. At the backside, there’s a flap for removing jammed paper. And at the upper right side there’s a little springloaded lever. And this lever was stuck. And why? The tiny spring wasn’t in place anymore and triggered a sensor(paper jam). I partly disassembled the printer- was easy, corrected the spring and it worked. Now i saved a lot of money and had a chance to clean up some parts. BTW, your video helped me.
I am getting 2 errors first paper jam despite no paper. I tried partial reset but paperjam error still shows up. Not sure about diagnostic in your video. When do you know to change out board?
hi kevin or any clued-up reader 🙂 my hp officejet pro 8600 gives paper jam error on the front led panel due to false message caused by a cracked piece in a ? roller [according to a technician] - i want to use the scanner but the jam error prevents accessing the scan menu or any other menu, how can i bypass the error message to access the scan function as i will now use the 8600 as a scanner only... any ideas?
In my case the little lever that's supposed to pop back up after a page passes over it just didn't pop back up, and so the printer kept thinking there was a page there. A little sewing machine oil and it's moving as it should again, no more jam error.
for the clear tape, i accidentally removed and don't know how to install it back, does anyone can help? it's for the left side, i didn't see any hook there to hole the tape.
I like this guy's voice and accent. Im getting an Asian accent but it's like ... I can't explain it especially since I usually find an Asian accent difficult for me or respectfully sort of harsh or rude. This guy. Wow. 😍. It made me feel so light... even the song Ok so I typed this comment before the guy was revealed at the end not knowing whether it really was Asian or not. I feel like I have a crush. lol.
My printer was used 1 time and I started getting the paper jam, I've done everything it says to do, but still it says paper jam, I think I'm going back to the Epson

This video is my favorite video on UA-cam of all time! You are brilliant! I sent a donation :)
Glad I watched. Helped me find the sensor that was askew and causing the error message. I was going to buy a new printer!
So mine had a broken plastic gear that drives the "sucker"... where would i find a replacement gear for that shaft?
Edit: nvm you mention your site

None of these ended up being my problem, but I can appreciate a good tutorial :D I have a slightly different model too.
1:30 you made my day 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Thank you for saving my printer and making me laugh for hours on a formerly drab day!
Thank you! This was both informative and hilarious!
Thank you so much for this video! This saved me from tossing this printer and getting a new one.
Hi Kevin,
brilliant videos.
My hp officejetpro 9012 dispays "print carrier cannot move". do you know how to fix that?

OMG You're Awesome I love the turn it upside down and Shake it and the river dance chaser....

hi, Kevin please make a video on how to fix the printer head missing from HP 8610. I already clean contacts, reset, etc. but nothing works. please
Kevin I love all of your videos.
Many thanks!

Do you have any idea why does Epson xp415 take multi pages at once?
Maybe. Check the spring in the pickup arm. It may be broken.
In the case of my HP 8028e, it did that when I didn't the paper all the way back in the tray.
Thank you so much!!!!!! You’re an angel
我想知道HP8022有没有替代的墨盒~他家墨盒也太贵了…
不用替代墨盒,用原来的灌墨就行。
Ridiculous! HP printers should work. I'm not a technician. Therefore, I now have to go buy ANOTHER printer. There's no paper jam no matter what I do.
Yes, it worked
My printer was used 1 time and I started getting the paper jam, I've done everything it says to do, but still it says paper jam, I think I'm going back to the Epson
geeeeeeeeeeee shaking upside down my printer, helped thank you :DDDDDD and we want autopilots in the cars :DDDDDD fuck

Please define "gatbage". :)
