What’s your favorite cotton yarn to use for washcloths?

I love to use Lily Sugar and Cream! I’ve been making dishcloths and washcloths for the past two months. Just to have some to sell and some to give as gifts. And of course to have a bunch for myself and family! I love to use crochet washcloths!

I bought some knitpicks cotton yarn a long time ago, and I found it to be much softer and smoother and the plies tighter than peaches and cream.

I didn't think of using double crochet for a dishcloth/washcloth before...I tend to do mine in single crochet, but I may have to try double crochet after seeing you make this one.

Thank you so much for this easy-to-follow tutorial! You really are a great teacher. Very easy to follow and your tutorials are always clear. I just started crocheting yesterday and learned my first single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet from your other videos, and this one is my first dishcloth project! It seems you are not uploading any new videos, I hope everything is well with you

Thank you for the mindful crochet emails! I made myself a new dishcloth and matching spring handing towel last night, just for me. Made me so happy. One year of crochet and I can’t believe how much joy it brings me. I think it’s a dopamine replenisher !!! Dr Huberman talks about ways to keep your dopamine at a good steady baseline and I think he missed crochet!

It would be 8 years since I bought a few knitted dishcloths of pure cotton yarn knitted by 2 local ladies who sell their product in a store called Creative Village situated in a large shopping mall in Lake Macquarie district, Australia. Both the store and the dishcloths are still going strong. I literally haven't bought a sponge type dish cloth since. I imagine I'm protecting this magnificent planet by doing so. The beauty of these cloths is if anything gets into them it's simply washed out in the sink! I gave several each to my family members. I am looking forward to using your crochet pattern for dish cloths and even selling them ☺. Thank you 👌.

Hi Sigoni! I’ve learned so much from your tutorials! Thank you! I’m in the process of making this dishcloth. Was wondering if it was ok if I have some spacing in my rows, my count is correct, but my stitches aren’t as tight as yours. It looks ok to me, but I know the tension is off.
