Can creatine affect kidney function, I was just wondering because I’ve heard this before and have recently had some quite serious kidney issues. Would like to here your thoughts.
@@dlc4147 If you already have kidney issues, definitely consult with your doctor before taking it. There is at least one older study that indicated that creatine could cause issues in people who have existing kidney disorders.
Well, so I think the reason is based on the assumption/hypothesis that most people take their coffee in the morning. But in the morning your stomach and system is kind of weak, since it fasted all night during your sleep. You have no food, but an empty stomach and coffee with the sugar and milk will already make you full and not hungry for that brief morning period. Now you add a big dose of creatine, your stomach may not feel alright, as early in the morning your stomach is highly sensitive and you really wouldnt to take some powder after waking up. Not to mention working out right after, you may get nausea
@@nameless1016 It has no significant effect on kidney function. Your kidney taking longer to filter it does not mean it harms it, that was debunked a long time ago.

In Canada it has been hard to find. A local Popeyes owner said everyone was coming to him because he had the only supple in the city. Even Amazon had astronomical prices. I attribute it to more people experimenting with fitness during lockdowns than a supply chain issue.

Another point: Everybody regardless of whether they work out for not should supplement with creatine, this shouldn't be a problem for those with recommended water intake. Only thing I will say is, don't take it if you have impaired kidney function. Also highly recommended for the elderly
No, taking creatine without working out can lead to side effects such as diarrhea, nauseas, stomach pain or muscle cramps, it can also just lead to no effect at all on the body, not even positive effects, just straight up nothing.

I mean, creatine really can only help. And though I'm not an expert on it by any means, I do know that it works under the radar. Without getting too scientific, it allows your body to increase energy, especially during high intensity activities such as working out. That slight boost to energy can help to get an extra rep or so when lifting. And even if it gets u 1-2 extra reps, over the long term that adds up and u can gain more muscle than u would without it. Yes it doesn't matter when you take it your body just needs to be loaded. It's fine if you miss a day or two but I just drink it with my protein shake every day.
Nothing happens. You store around 120 grams of creatine in your body and once that's built up then you're not going to loose that much from missing a day or two and letting it go down to say 110 or so. Creatine has a half life of like 4-5 hours so in a day you loose about 5 grams give or take. That's why you run a maintenance dose of it. It's all just replenishing your lost stores across the body. Some guys with fast metabolisms or high bodyweights like myself may need 10 grams a day. I'm around 100 lean kgs at 175cm tall and to notice creatine I need to use about 10 grams a day. The bodies stores and consumption of creatine goes up especially when muscle mass increases as that's where it's mainly stored besides the internal organs and the brain.
Creatine makes your muscles retain water making them look fuller, when you stop taking creatine, your muscles will let go of the water. You won’t lose your gains, you just lose the water retention
The cycle one sounds interesting because cycling theoretically decreases how much creatine you use, so even if you do not gain more muscle, as long as you get the same ammount, it should be better no?

yep sure, just make sure to stay nicely hydrated, but that's also recommended when not even taking creatine so yea
No that's actually illegal and USADA will come knocking.
Id see if your Shake doesn’t have creatine in it already
@@groovi35 Its Whey protien
@@nithursan9983 oh aight
Sean please reply does creatine affect lover or kidneys
But does it cause hairloss coz i already have poor hair genetics.
What are your thoughts on Creapure/micronized Creatine? Seems like it might have a better absorption rate and more pure
He already mentioned it on one of his videos, that creatine has a slightly faster absorbtion rate but in the end the results are the same...and you pay extra for it. So monohydrate is always the way to go.
Is the hair loss claim true?
Basically it causes an increase in DHT (simply exercising also causes this), and this MAY speed up hair loss in individuals who are PREDISPOSED to hair loss, meaning that they have a hairloss gene to begin with. If you don't have such a problem (and sometimes even if you do), you won't experience any increase in hair loss.
Is it okay if I skip a day or 2 because sometimes I be forgetting
It doesn't affect anything so yea its fjne
Is it true that creatine can accelerate hair loss in some men?

wait, I don't have to cycle it?? 🤔🤔😮
Won’t monohydrate turn into hydrochloride in the stomach anyways?
Can we continue to take creatine everyday even if we workout like for 4-5 days
Yes it doesn't matter when you take it your body just needs to be loaded. It's fine if you miss a day or two but I just drink it with my protein shake every day.
@@joeb3619 Thanks bro appreciate it
Creative side effect hair loss?
What if I forget to take it for a day or two?
I havent done creatine yet bc i was told if i stopped using it id lose all my gains. No idea if its true but never risked it
Creatine makes your muscles retain water making them look fuller, when you stop taking creatine, your muscles will let go of the water. You won’t lose your gains, you just lose the water retention
Question .
I workout 3 times a week full body..
Is it wise to still take creatine on days I don't workout?
Yes!Take it every day
What about the hair loss thing?
I was taking creatine by your recommendation, but my uric acid become a bit higher, so I stopped.
Ok what about hair loss? Literally the only thing preventing me from using creatine.
The cycle one sounds interesting because cycling theoretically decreases how much creatine you use, so even if you do not gain more muscle, as long as you get the same ammount, it should be better no?
Do you need more creatine as you get bigger
Like is 5gram enough for a 80kg lean guy and for a 200kg brain shaw?
Nope. Took creatine for a month and started noticing hair shedding and loss
So is monohydrate the best
