It is a MOPAR and Challengers rule the road back then in 1970 and in 2020. I had a new Challenger with the V6 and it was great on gas and was quick off the line
I have the TKO500 in my 70 Challenger R/T and love it. The shifter throw seems to be a little more than what you demonstrated in the video with the TKO600. When I cruise at 60mph in 5th gear my RPMS are close to 3000 according to the factory tach which seems to high but I cannot attest to the accuracy of the tach although the engine does seem to be working harder than 2200rpm based on the sound. My only issue is the car is uncomfortable to drive. This is not due to the shifter position, it's due to the seat position relative to the factory rimblow wheel. I'm 6-1 and fairly lean. With the seat in the most rearward position I'm too close to the wheel. I know it's not relevant to your post but how did you find the driving position in the yellow Challenger? From the looks of the video it looks comfortable. How tall are you?
I have a 66 charger that I will be putting a 440 in. I want to swap the T56 transmission into it. I have no idea what parts, adapters, how balancing will work etc. Yall have any insight into that?

It's been a long time and we don't remember if the customer had his original carpet or had purchased a new one. A steamer may soften the carpet and help it lay flat. Be sure to test it in a hidden area for discoloration and be careful to keep the steamer away from things like electrical connections and other things that shouldn't get wet. You might also try laying something heavy over it and putting the car in the sun for a few hours. If it's excessive material and not the memory of the old tunnel that's keeping it from lying down, there are lots of videos on youtube on how to form carpet around the tunnel. Good luck!

Silver Sport Transmissions same here does it save gas? With a Wide 6 or 7 speed Vs a stock 727 with a 2:7 or 3:2 rear gears and a big block 383 and how much can engine life be extended by not reving so high in ruff %~ Plus how much quieter do you think it is @ 60+ mph o and is this “ wife friendly? “ smaller woman under 150 lbs
@@richardprice5978 I'm sorry, I didn't see this comment when you posted it. It does save on gas, about a 30-50 percent improvement over the stock transmission. The overdrive gear will keep your engine working within its ideal RPM range while you keep up with traffic on the interstate, while running a 727 at 70-80 mph will have your engine revving up past the ideal cruising RPMs. This abuse is not only hard on your engine, but also hard on the driver and passengers with the loud, constant engine noise. The clutch and clutch actuator will be the big difference in whether it's "wife friendly" or not. Give us a call and we can go over all the options to build a transmission kit that has everything you're looking for. 888-609-0070
Damn... That Challenger looks gorgeous! 🤤🤤🤤
That's Awesome ! Love the short throw

I run a Tremec 6060 in my SS Camaro. Thank you very much.
Nice!! I've had that transmission on my wish list for my Duster. It would be great if you guys did a step-by-step video of installing it in an A-Body.

Ditch those rims and it will be perfect
I must get this.

How will it do on the drag strip? I’ve heard of gears popping out like 3rd or so, thank you
They are awesome on the track! We don’t know what you’re hearing, but it’s not happening with any of the units we sell.

@@AEROPublicRec Yes, the 6-speed requires extensive tunnel mods, however, we have a TREMEC TKX 5-speed kit that will fit without cutting.
