- Today I prepare my Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo for RAGBRAI by removing the suspension fork, fix my brakes, and add a rack. Sit back, relax and enjoy the build!!

Hello! Greetings from Portugal! I really liked the transformation of the bike, it looks much better with a rigid fork, so it looks more like a gravel bike. I think I was ideal with 27.5 wheels. I think the frame supports these wheels well. Hug!
Thanks for watching!!
I have done a similar build. I used a 1990s Cannondale H400 (hybrids convert well to gravel) and a 1x10. Same Gravel Kings. It works fine.
Enjoy.
Thanks for watching!! That’s great!!
Nice setup. Where can I find this Pull adapters?
Thanks for watching!! You can find them on Amazon. When I get home I’ll post an Amazon link in the video description

BRK 👍
Thanks for watching!! Uncle Warren says “Hi” 😉
Yes, the short vs. long cable pull brakes... Instead of installing the travelagent, why not going cantilever brakes? Provided they are adjusted properly and upgraded with good brake pads, they're just as good as v-brakes but look way cooler! 😎
Thanks for watching!! I thought about that, but the cable routing is set up for V-brakes. If I did cantilever brakes I would have to find a solution for cable stops in the correct spots. Good Idea, but the "travel agents" were better solution in my opinion.
V brakes and cantilevers have different mounting post positions.
Unfortunately not swappable.
Thanks for watching!!
How did you learn to build bikes? I wanna learn how to do that but I have no idea where to start. I though about going down to my local bike shop and asking them if they take interns or something.
Thanks for watching! I learned by taking one of my first bikes apart to powder coat. Take one part at a time look for UA-cam videos on how to do the thing you want. Buy the correct tools. Good luck!!
