I’m back playing d2 after being gone like 15 years... I’m happy to see the game is still somewhat alive but I was shocked to see that now 50% of public games are just people running bots openly and advertising websites. It used to be so fun searching for and finding reliable Baal runs for a few hours etc. nothing lasts forever though I guess.

you said that your death had set you back about 200 runs.. but if you create a new game your corpse appears in town right, to pick up the stuff? unless if you try to get the corpse by going all the way to it without creating a new game and then if you die, you can't get your stuff easily anymore by starting a new game XD been years since I played this game, I had quit when someone tricked me by making me die like 24 times and then there won't be any new corpses however then all your gear drops on the ground to be looted by other players XDD like wtf
What are the "Grail Items"? Something very rare? I remember people using term GOSU Items for some very rare and powerful stats rolls, but Grail is something new to me :-)
On that death, I had to replay it at first cause I was like "witches killed him?" Then I saw the undead soul killers... I'm actually impressed you only died twice! You can get so unlucky teleing into mobs sometimes
impressed with dying only twice? I have a mate who died once in 20+ years. It's what HC does to you xD I think I die about 6 times total. Also 20+ years. And all of them were stupid mistakes, drops and one time a sorc managed to kill me, at a low level, of course. Being able to quit the game instantly now saves me a lot of headaches
Just farm Pit&Ancient tunnels. I got em all items 4 years later :) Baal is long run. Not necessary. My necromancer farms Pit insanely speed. I got now all set items.I got all Unique items with ethereal ones :) Gonna share my shared stash soon. Cos is completed all items.

Shaefer;s isnt a grail item. Azurewrath is not a big ticket item unless you just downloaded the game. When will you make videos that apply to high end players and not just easy magic finding. Show me some GG circlets or FCR rings with tri rez, str and life. Nobody wants to see you identify uniques that we sell to vendors.
But you did not say how long you used? how long did it take? 1000 times 3 minutes tells me nothing... how many days? hours? When did you start, and when did you end? Setting up a calculation does not help your viewers for shit.. also when doing this, you need food drink, and bathroom... so.. yeah.. How long did it take?
At three minutes a run your roughly 50 hours to do 1,000 runs but so here is the thing ya Baal drops everything in the game and on hell you can get some really good drops but in my 20 years of playing Diablo II. I have gotten the rarest armor in the game Tyraels might three times and every time I have gotten it from trash mobs in the world stone keep before I even get to Baal. It is by far the best place to magic find the only thing is on hell it is not easy chance of dying is very high and if you play hardcore it’s not really worth it until your just such a high level and such good gear you get to the god status. So I promise you if you can run world stone keep on hell with players 8 you will get an insane amount of rare gear and runes all sorts of stuff. It’s not that it has higher drop rate but it has an insane amount of mobs so you just kill way more then other places increasing your chance to get good drops. Diablo 2 loot is not normal it isn’t oh this guy drops this specific gear but only 0.000001% chance there is a lot more to what drops where in this game.
Do you ever think that this "random" item drops works on some algorithm that repeats itself under same mf(maybe)? And some items are maybe impossible to find under that mf?
I have this impression for years now. No idea how to reliably test it. Also it feels like its time based. Like span of 24 h. There are some left over affixes in the files that never seen the light of day that are directly tied to time somehow. I'm amateur at modding myself but i think those don't even work even if i mod them back into the game. They are just there...

I've played about 400 levels of D2-still play. but.. I won't even think of adventuring for the torch. I can't even take down uber diablo successfully 1/2 the time. I've done it about 4x but I just die way too much. Level 94 archer with Faith/Valkrie/and a powerful merc. I've been looking for cats eye or highlord and have never found one. WF-forget about it-it'll never happen for me. Great game but Uber Tristram... no f'in way!
You gotta eBug that VORTEX. It’s a cool item, but since all shields have the same average damage it really only matters PvP if you think you’re 1 or 2 hitting people, and your grief+crushing is doing the killing anyway. Vortex also have the worst block chance and highest str req of all the Pally shields. Mathematically speaking, you should find another shield and successfully eBug it long before you find a Vortex, so I’m guessing you already have one...?
I had an idea for a test/HBP video 700 Duriel Runs, but! 100X Per Tomb so 100 runs where duriels in the far left tomb, then second left, so on. Then you could compare and see if one of the tombs has better drops or seems luckier!!! lol

reminds me of Olden Days when I would run a bot to kill that Nilithak guy in the cave over and over when i went to bed at night. I would have pick 'em set for just a few items. Make coffee the next morning and then go check stash for Grandfathers, Shakos, Windforce, etc.

My tomb reaver rolled exactly the same. Is this item bugged to drop single socket or something? I've never seen anyone with a 3 socket tomb reaver.

I think you’re onto something. I’ve found badass stuff with like 180 mf just messing around. And I’ve found nothing with 320 mf grinding over and over
My friend found more shit with a shako wearing javazon and combined 150 mf. He found 2 griffons in two weeks:, he gave me one bc I helped him early on
It's not because of the mf% guys, it's because all these runs are done on the same map seed. Look up Racking or seeded LK runs for more information.
