Since finding your channel you have inspired me to buy less and make my purchases timeless pieces that are better quality. Even when i splurge on the more expensive items i still find myself spending less on clothes then i ever have because nothing i buy is fast fashion anymore. I have three kids so for so long i didn't prioritize myself but now that i am i seem to be a better, happier person all around and that confidence is something i hope my children will notice.
The French love small subtle details with an elegant impact. Ruffled collars, neutral colours, interesting buttons, sleeve details and always quality materials. I loved shopping at the Sézane boutiques in Paris and London.
I love your idea of wearing shorts over tights during the fall and winter season. When the colder months roll in, I chuck all of my shorts into the darkest depths of my closet 😅 I’m always looking for ways to turn season-specific pieces like shorts into something I can wear all year around. Also, the lightning is 🤌🏻

Hi Bethany, I love that you are incorporating some pieces from the menswear collection. As someone who is also toward the petite side with a pear/hourglass shape, I'm a bit timid about using more oversized straight-cut pieces, but this is inspiring me to branch out. Using such pieces as you have helps me see that they can create a more modern feel to an outfit that might tend to be more vintage, if that makes sense. Sometimes the academia aesthetic can start to become costume-y, cheesy or dated, and I appreciate how you avoid this in your styling. I was wondering about the tall boots you used in the video or if you have recommendations for tall boots--again, this can be tricky for those of us that are more petite and with curves.
Hi Alex! Thanks for the encouragement 🤗 as for tall boots, these are the first I have tried and liked, and I think that’s because the shorts give separation between the fabric and the boots. Otherwise the boots would have been too bulky for me.

I start to fall in Love with Sezane too 😍 Could you tell me, how you clean all these high quality clothes? Like the Wallace Shorts are dry clean only. I would be devastated, if it would geht stained..
I hand wash any dry-clean-only clothes with woolite delicates detergent. Otherwise I spot clean. I’ve never taken anything to the cleaners

Such beautiful clothing!. Unfortunately, I am not able to wear anything containing wool, mohair or cashmere. I have allergies to these and am resigned to wearing polyester l, unless you have other suggestions for me. I would really appreciate your thoughts….

@@bethanyleonardo No I haven’t but if I found one with a loose neck that might work. Through my course with you I learned why I didn’t wear certain clothes in my closet and one of them was anything fitted. I was so uncomfortable most of the time because I thought I was doing the right thing. But I relish looser clothing, which is why the new trends are suiting me so much better. It’s a process, isn’t it. But once you get it, it’s golden. I will explore finding what works for me as an under layer…thank you for the tip! PS: Anyone reading this would be amazed at your course; it really helped me so much 😊
