Thank you so much for sharing your experiences! I have been curious about Everlane but this is exactly why I have not made a purchase yet because you can’t return or exchange when they are on sale which is kinda absurd in this day and age! Especially with how difficult it is to find the right fitting jeans. Even lululemon now allows you to return or exchange sale items. And If brand like Abercrombie can change, they really need to move with the times!
I can agree with the sizing inconsistency depending on the color you get. I love their Way High jeans but from what I have learned and observed, the darker the color = the tighter/less stretchy the fit is. I have them in black size 28 (fit but really snug), vintage blue dark wash size 27 (fits the same as the black pair) and, the light denim wash size 27 which is my favorite pair because they stretch alot enough to comfortably eat and not have to unbotton them. Eventhough they are the same style, the color matters. Might have to do with their dyeing process? Anyways, I shouldnt have sold the dark blue wash because now I need the extra room 😅 I bought the size 29 secondhand and it is WAY too big 😢 My advice, if you have a store near by, pop in and try on the size and color, sit/squat/etc test. and then purchase secondhand with measurements or buy on sale. 😊
Haha yup, I made sure to mention that in the video - this was my mess up for sure and a learning opportunity I wanted to share so no one else would make the same mistake as I did ☺️
I love their Jean quality! I’m so bummed every day that I bought the wrong style/size for myself just because I didn’t pull out the tape measure before buying .. twice!! 😭
I have the problem in Everlane jeans where the butt, hip and thighs fit perfectly but the waist is too narrow. I don’t think the curvy styles are the solution though because I think they’re for people who have the opposite body type which is small waist but curvy in the butt, hips and thighs. At least the jeans are described as being more relaxed in the butt, hips and thighs and more cinched in the waist. Wish they’d create a version for straighter girls!!!
Ladies, Everlane deserves a chance. They are one of the few companies that is incredibly transparent about their materials and source. I've been very impressed with the selection and ability to make quality items with minimal use of synthetic materials like you see everywhere now. I would absolutely recommend that you watch other reviews as part of your research ❤
Try madewell jeans, they give you $20 off if you bring a pair of old jeans to buy a new one. Buying jeans should not be all about numbers and spec. definitely go in to try, I can never blindly buy with no return, maybe try trousers instead of just jeans for casual.
oh my gosh I know! Especially for my basics, I'm trying to find garments that are high quality, durable, not cost an arm and a leg, and that would fit me well so I can buy them once and never again if I can help it, but it seems like an impossible task at this point!
I got to agree if just seems like some of these online stores not all have this way for snatching you just so you really can checkout there merchandise online now since you brought this up Especially the material in some clothing can rip really easy it just seems like some clothes that you buy is really not what it use to be. Dude, of course curvy means wider in the hips...and yeah many people gain weight around their middle. None of this is Everlane's fault.

These are the only jeans I buy… but I’m athletic curvy. The feel designed for my body type which is hard to shop for.

ohh what a cool deal! Yeah, it was a bold move, not a wise move, and one I definitely won't do again 😅
I just bought two pairs of pants for $59 each oof, I never thought pants could be that expensive!
