I was lucky to see the show the night before @ the Spectrum Phila PA on 6/29. This would be my 1st show where I stayed at the Spectrum Parking Lot Hotel to try and grab me an Up Close and Personal seat. Well, I can tell you it was well worth it to pick my 3rd Seat for that evening's performance. I would go to do other parking lot stays for some GREAT shows in the '70's including my 5th Row center seat for Led Zeppelin on 2/8/75, Pink Floyd in row # 6 on 6/29/77 and 2nd Row seat for YES on 6/21/79 as that show was done "In the Round". And best of all, my 2nd seat for the mighty WHO on 12/15/75 (my 4th WHO Show in 2 year period w/ Keith Alive and Well, Performing at his Peak Playing Prowess)!!
The entire concert is just great. While it isn't as good as the Long Beach shows in three weeks it still has great moments like the Blues Power/Have You Ever Loved A Woman medley is phenomenal. Clapton just jams. Mainline Florida is alright. There are definitely better versions from 74. Little Wing and Tell The Truth are great but again there are more definitive versions from later in the year. And I'm a big fan of this version of Layla were Eric and George just jam off each other
3 роки тому+1
Dont think I have the Long Beach show, but I stumble across "Chicago" 74 where they open with Charlie Chaplins "Smile". Lovely version
Yeah that’s fine. I understand 2 or 3 commercials but before there has to be like 15 of them. Regardless fantastic show! Loved Mainline Florida and Layla!

Very cool ... I was at this show and three more that year. I would say the MSG was the best of what I saw that year.
His best tour. Thanks for posting.
Sabes estar en un plato. Eres un gran guitarra. Sensacional artista.

Awesome! Could you upload the Tempe and Pittsburgh shows from this year as well?

Great concert but sooo many commercials. Ugh!
Hope there is less now.
Yes thank you. That was fast! Keep the Clapton shows coming.
@@peterdolan7739 Some of the shows I upload I have some controls on, some I don't. Yes indeed. He's brilliant
