There are “silent” whistles you can put on your car that the deer can hear and helps to keep them to go the other direction than your vehicle. It is surprising how far and how high they can jump. Plus right now it is mating (rutting) season. We live in Indiana and also have a high population of deer.
Nya is so sweet. I know y'all will miss her. I have enjoyed her smiles & laughter.

We have enjoyed Nya's visit and her accent. Wish her safe travels home and a Merry Christmas. It's also "the rut" season (breeding) for the deer, so they are very active. Glad no one was hurt.
That was so fun! And oh my...my ❤️ when the girls danced! The deers by me in a one square mile town n NJ is so overrun by deer...they walk down the streets in large groups all the time. Its almost as common to see as a squirrel. They don't even cross the street when they see humans anymore 😳 its a little scary. Safe travels back Nya. It's been lovely seeing you on the video. Starting as a very young child (I’m 67 now) my dad, my grandpop and my 4 sisters and brother would load up into the station wagon and ride around town and see Christmas lights while mom and gramma would wrap gifts. I still dream of those days.

One of our fav traditions! Looking at Xmas lights!! I never realized until I was much older how my mom made Xmas so special raising 5 kids with little money. Gathering pine cones in the yard, hot coco, church activities. The best moments I remember as a child had nothing to do with cost! And my girls LOVE those traditions now!!

Deer are very plentiful where I live and I use deer-horns to help keep them from running in front of you while you are driving. They are just little bull-horn looking instruments that go in the grill/front of your car... when you drive they make a very loud high pitched whistle that deter the deer from running in front of you! Some say it doesn't work, but with my experience, it has saved me a many of times from hitting a deer.

Your decorations are beautiful! Nya is lovely inside and out. I’m glad we got a chance to meet her (via the vlog anyway). I can see the sibling resemblance between Solo and Nya. I’m glad you all got to spend time together. We have lots of deer here too. You have to be very careful in wooded areas after dark this time of year. There are some areas where they immediately retrieve deer killed by vehicles to be processed then provide the meat to families in need.

Looking at Christmas lights is one of my absolute favorite things to do! I load my kiddos up and take them out. I enjoy it more than them 😂. I love how much Nya loves the lights. It’s so cute.
We don’t have a good spot for a nativity scene, so I found a cute yard flag with the nativity on it.
Its so much fun taking people from other countries around to see Christmas lights. I have an Australian friend that I got to take to see Christmas lights. She about froze though..lol She was in summer with high 90’s and came into winter here 50’s she was lucky it never snows here…lol

Thank you for sharing Auntie Nya with us! I have so enjoyed her being in the vlogs...she is so pretty and I love her accent...so regal sounding! I especially liked hearing her pronounce words like we do in the States...lol...our accent sounds so boring compared to hers. I also have the tradition of making hot cocoa and driving around to look at Christmas lights....I typically do that on Christmas Eve but hearing that Solo goes out a few times a week inspired me to go out and look at them earlier too!
