Love your first tree. You have everything decorated so pretty. We do have a birthday cake every year for Jesus birthday. We have had one for 25 years. Thrilled for you that Erin and Chad are giving you their piano. And I love the matching pj’s. You both looked adorable. Wish my husband and son would go along with that. Anyway I hope your first Christmas as a married couple is wonderful.
This is so encouraging and makes me so excited to share Christmas with my fiancé! He asked us to get matching PJs and I am so happy that he was willing to do that and I am so excited. Yes, it’s a thing. And it’s so sweet!
Your decorations look awesome. So happy for you.Loved you playing the piano Lawson, hope you will do that more often, since Erin is giving you her piano.God Bless..
Hello Tiffany and Lawson, you two are precious! Your home looks so beautiful. Great job on the decorations and tree. My traditions are baking an array of Christmas cookies, lighting our Advent wreath and opening presents on Christmas morning while we enjoy breakfast. Merry Christmas and God bless you both. ❤️
We moved into a new home this year & we put our “main” tree in our dining area. We have an open floor plan, so I think it works well. You’re home looks so cute & cozy for Christmas. I remember being a newly wed(22 years married now) & how excited I was to decorate my first home.
VERY nicely done! My husband and I, on Christmas Eve, would get a festive-flavored cappuccino (or some other warm drink), get in the car, put Christmas music on, and drive around looking at all the decorated houses. We always ended up at this one neighborhood where all the houses had luminarias lining the streets and driveways and sidewalks. You had to dim your lights before entering. It was beautiful! Just a magical time every year for the two of us. He passed away in 2019, and I miss those special times.
Hi, I do believe we are about to hear about a baby announce very soon...it will be exciting, Lawson the best uncle to all his neices, and nephews...he will be a good father... Tiffany a lovable mom...we shall hear soon...lol...I hope... anyway you're home looks beautiful with all the decorations...you can use from years and years...and add some decor every year... special ornaments too...Oh may I ask where you got the Nativity Scene from...it's beautiful...ok thanks for sharing...can't wait see if you all have an announcement....
One of our traditions begun years ago while my babies were young, Going to see the lights while listening to New Kids On The Block Merry Merry Christmas and singing at the top of our lungs!
Lawson and Tiffany this is Mona I'm 66 disabled alone here in clintonville Wisconsin so there ain't going to be no decorating this year but when I grew up which is a way long time ago for y'all but for me it was like it was yesterday we always got a tree and my dad several years in a low row would take us out to go to a tree lot and cut our own tree down and there be snow on the ground cuz I grew up in Ohio we come back we let the tree open up for 24 hours put some aspirin down in the water which actually helps because it is a living thing and it helps to keep a live longer and healthier anyway we do that and on Christmas Day we would have homemade popcorn from the stove and we would have a Mom's homemade hot chocolate from Hershey's cocoa powder or she would get some chocolate and melt it and make the instead of hot cocoa hot chocolate which is they're two different types and mom always had the house decorated everywhere was was Christmas it's about God Jesus and we had Santa Claus too we had everything it was beautiful we knew with the real Christmas was about though but she let us celebrate Santa Claus too children are very adaptable and understand if you tell them the truth and they'll stay and they still love Santa Claus too cuz he you know I can't explain it here and make it too long I'm speaking in a mic and I'm legally blind so just telling you some of our traditions mom always made sure she send out Christmas cards to everybody we have a large we they had a large family on both sides but she's sending out to every aunt and uncle and every kissing cousin a Christmas card to each family and she do it by hand she's sending off at the first part of December and so they'd have their Christmas cards that was one of her traditions that I just love I don't have nobody to send it to but there was nine kids on my dad's family and nine on my mom's so they had plenty of family to send cards out too she get every last one of them and send it out I remember so many are sending it off being there with her she'd make homemade candies homemade taffy she made bourbon balls which was only for the adults because it had real liquor in it she make all kinds of candy I I can't even remember and all she can make peanut butter fudge homemade and milk chocolate fudge and all kinds of things popcorn balls she'd make them we'd use the popcorn in the Garland and weed eat popcorn those are just some of the things mom would make her own homemade wreath out of an nose hanger that you know the wire clothes hangers the old kind she opening up wrap it with foil and other things and even use pine cones and some of the extra leaves on the bottom of the tree and make a reef out of it and with ribbons it was always beautiful and I was always extra special because mom made it and she didn't let us kids help make it it was a beautiful thing to do and mom wouldn't help us make construction paper garland and we had the other Garland too those are just some ideas that are special to my heart ❤️🧡🤎🧡💙 nobody can take it away God bless you all Merry Christmas and a beautiful new year and I really hope God is giving you a special blessing what a great time to be expecting a baby love always your sister in Christ wishing you the best in jesus's peace in your heart and your life in your home and in your marriage forever shalom say a prayer if you can for me and mine have had four kids then grandkids I'm not around any of them but I've got Jesus love you all
I have 5 trees in my living/ dining room. One in my 1950’s diner kitchen. One on the front porch. Of course I don’t have live trees! I have an eggplant purple tree that stays up all year and I change it monthly, my grandkids love that one. I go way overboard, my sister passed away right before Christmas and I start in October to get through the holidays. Yours looks beautiful! 🎄🎅🧑🏻🎄
My husband and I lived in Nashville from 1984-1994 and sing this just brings back great memories of going out to what was then called just Opryland Hotel every year to see it all decked out for Christmas! It is and always was just so beautiful! (And back then, you didn’t have to pay to park)! 😊😊. Both of our children were born in Nashville. Puts off good memories there! Hope you will have lots of good times there too! Happy First “Married” Christmas! 🎄
This was wonderful!! You look great in your matching pj's too! Great job on the tree and I'm so glad Erin's piano is finding a happy home! Y'all are so much fun!
I love your choices for Christmas decor, but I AM partial to black and red checks. Great job getting involved, Lawson. I'm sure it's encouraging to Tiff to do all of those things together. Congrats!
I would recommend you get a new ornament each year so you have fun things to look back on. My hubby and I started it our first Christmas together and I love it
Fake tree with white lights, gold/white garland and gold ornaments that have been collected thru the years. Each year we got a new ornament for each member. We have pets so don't want them getting sick from the tree and less mess of needles.
Love the black and red gorgeous. Just a little hint if hanging a wreath it goes on the inside door so between the front door and screen door. If u hang it on the outside of the screen door chances are it will get damaged by weather or blown away in the wind .
I have a tradition of watching numerous Christmas movies at this time of year! My faves include White Christmas, Holiday Inn, Santa Clause, just to name a few!
I can't believe it's your guys first Christmas together as a married couple and can't wait to see the new Christmas decorations and see the tree.🧑🎄 Are you guys doing vlogmas for your channel.
We put our Nativity under the tree. When my Mom passed away I received the Nativity my siblings & I gave our parents way back in the 60s. The cardboard manger has been repaired a few times & somehow Joseph came up missing. I wouldn’t trade it for anything! It now sits under our tree with the one my husband & I have.
Was maroon & gold until this year. We went with blue & silver. What about putting your wreath on the solid front door instead of the glass door, so it’s protected, then you don’t see he back side of the wreath. Yes, matching PJ’s are a thing 😊
I’m glad watching young, enjoying your life and still remembering to bring Christ into it. You guys are inspiring, keep it up merry Christmas. Everything looks beautiful. Thank you for sharing your life with us.❤
My Christmas tree is all done in Polish Ornaments from Poland, from the tree top to the tree skirting. Congratulations two you both on your first xmas together. Make sure you get your first Christmas Ornaments this year. You can find them at Hobby Lobby. Merry Christmas to you both..
We get a new movie (usually a Christmas movie) every year and watch it on Christmas Eve. Then everyone sleeps in the living room together that night and we all wake up super early Christmas morning
Very sweet. One suggestion to manage the cold- get GOOD clothing- layer up, get heated gloves and mittens-mittens keep your hands warmer when you can wear them. Buy really warm boots like Uggs or Sorels with removable felt liners. Get a coat with a zip-out fleece liner, one that goes down below your waist, over your behind. I also have a long wool coat that's for dressy occasions, parties, church, etc, and my sister loves her fur (I know that's not everyone's cup of tea but she bought vintage, and it is already GONE so nothing to do but to make its life matter!) The fur my sister has is a long black fox and it's VERY warm! Also get some good hats, always wear one when it's cold, as well as a scarf. I live in Northern WI! While it's not as cold in Tennessee, if you're not USED to the cold, you will feel better having proper clothing on! I've lived through 45 below zero! I know!
Tiffany, you did an amazing job it’s beautiful and yes Lawson you should do the pajamas because they match her. She’s so cute and I hope baby Lawson or baby Tiffany is on the way. Love you guys y’all are so cute.
Tiffany put a comand hook up side down on the glass front door, on the bottom of the wreath to hold the wreath on the door tight. So the wind doesn't blow the wreath off the wreath hook.
I have the same kind of table cloths. One on my kitchen table and one under where my Manger scene sets. All the decorations on my tree center around the birth of Christ, with the exception of my boys and my grandsons first Christmas ornament.
I love cute devorations!! I do multi color any chance I can get and love cute gnomes, gingerbread men, Santa's, Grinch.... all of the above!! Lol, my decor is probably way too much for a lot of people cause I love color and cute decor
Thank you for showing Opryland I haven't been there in years it is beautiful I remember it so beautiful we wrote on a little boat bench through the gardens it was beautiful
Hey Tiffany, if you need to leave for a few weeks time again, put water in your sink and put your plants in there, then the plant can water itself from the bottom up and will be ok when you get home.
Worked for Nordstrom for 10 years on the Display team and did traditional red and green most years. My home decor is aqua and pastels, so red and green don’t work. I have a live tree and this years tree is huge! My ornaments are white, gold, purple and pastels.almost every year I buy something new because I love Christmas decorations. A few years ago, I got rid of a couple of dozen ornaments I no longer liked. I always buy at least two ornaments and if they are smaller I but six. Don’t worry if your first Christmas is missing things, just make a list and either buy after Christmas sale items or when you travel and see a pretty ornament buy it to add to your tree. Merry Christmas. 🎄 Happy birthday Jesus!
FYI - Be careful when removing the command hooks because the adhesive can really damage the walls if it doesn't come off right. It's a lot easier to repair a hole than to repair the sheet rock.
I got a 4 ft artificial tree our second year of marriage, but got a bigger one (6 ft) a couple years later that we used about 25 years. We got a 7 ft then, and gave the old tree to our daughter, along with the decorations including salt dough ornaments our kids made when they were pretty young. We have a tabletop tree now. I was allergic to real trees, and had been sick every Christmas I was home. Didn’t know I was allergic!
Traditions: my family once spent Christmas with my cousins and their Dad read, Christ testimony out of the book of Luke. We all opened one gift which was new pajamas. Their family had matching as their mom made them, ours were beautiful. A fun memory. As a kid the parents in our neighborhood created sets for each front yard for the night before Christmas. I loved that. It went up every year. This was in the 1970’s in Orange County, California. With my great Aunt we made homemade candies and she gave them as gifts. I bake banana bread and give it to friends who have families with a homemade ornament as part of the bow. This year am doing as much as I can! A local neighborhood decorates with lights and decorations it’s a big deal, Rogers Gardens in Newport Beach for their big Christmas shop, cookie exchange with an old high school friend (a first time for me), Trolley to see the harbor lights and The Reagan Library with all its tree. If I can find more stuff to do I will!
My favorite store for Christmas Decorations is The Hobby Lobby! Then I like The Christmas Tree Store. I love your Nativity Set is so nice. I got mine from The Hobby Lobby and it is one of my favorite decorations for Christmas! This year for my Christmas Theme is Nutcrackers! All different kinds! One tradition that I have is to buy a poinsettia plant every year because 46 Christmas's ago when my husband and I met it was his first gift he ever gave to me. I have never missed one Christmas. You have done a great job with all your decorations! Hope The Bates Family is having a great Christmas Party tonight! I hope you can show some of that.
Tiff & Lawson, when you’re doing lots of shopping and have lots of bags that are plastic here’s a helpful hint time shout whenever you can I need to have to worry about broken items in most cases.
Another awesome video. ❤️ Y'all have a beautiful home...The Christmas decorations are so adorable...Since seeing your video of the Gaylord at Christmas time...I'm gonna have to make a trip soon. We've been there during the summer...but I can't pass up seeing those gorgeous lights.
Tiffany, are you the type of person at Christmas time , when you decorate, your house looks like Christmas threw up in your home ? Im that was ,i add more each year!
You Christmas decorations are beautiful. My granddaughter just moved to Nashville to get her doctrine occupational therapy. She sent me pictures of the zoo all decorated for Christmas. You to should go see it. Merry Christmas 🎄
I know it’s too late however one of my family tradition is a Santa key. I made sure there was a Santa key every year and told the kids that the key was Santa magic. The key would let him in to leave presents. When the kids each got married or on their own I made sure they each had a Santa key for their tree. Now my granddaughter got one this year she is 8 and wanted a tree of her own in her room and her tree needed a key on it. So I made sure their was a key and Their was a special gift from Santa under her tree. Keep the magic alive.
I love the matching pj's not many people do that any more yall are so cute in them though. Did anyone one miss the ending to the video when their talking about ultrasound and celebratory dinner after the health update.
LOVE eggnog!!! 😋❤️ Hope you get your baby soon!! 🙏👶🤍 The string of garland on the ladder looked good :) seriously!! It's a live Chrsitmas Tree all the way in our home!!🎄👍
Blue and silver winter wonderland....so I don't have the pressure to get it down asap. And I maintain a tacklebox of command hooks and replacement adhesives all year long!
I have started buying personalized Christmas ornaments for our children and I’ve for several years get an ornament with all the grandchildren name and year
@@lawbates merry Christmas , y’all did great job on your house. Love your songs can’t wait to hear more songs from you and Tiffany and by the way I’m new to your UA-cam channel.👍👍👍👍👍👍
Everything looks beautiful! My aunt started a tradition of giving a hallmark ornament every year and it was great. If you start that tradition, you will have a full tree very soon and your future children will look forward to it each year. Merry Christmas!
We wrap 25 Christmas books and read one each night from Dec 1st to count down to Christmas!
That’s a cute idea!
Love your first tree. You have everything decorated so pretty. We do have a birthday cake every year for Jesus birthday. We have had one for 25 years. We decorate the the tree & have ice cream sundaes after, this has been a tradition since my mom was a baby. Now I do it with my grandkids

Tiffany should start her own channel! I would love to watch her recipes and I feel like she has cool stories :)
I love vintage mid century modern Christmas decorations! 🥰🎄
Ya’ll are so adorable and your love and happiness is so evident. The corner was the perfect place for the tree! It all looks so cozy!
Love the Christmas decorations. 🎄 and maybe even a congratulations on a baby from the sounds of it.🎉

The decorations look great . PJ pics should be a tradition even the kids and the come along. Merry Christmas Lawson & Tiffany
So glad the Nativity scene is on the front lawn. It used to be squirreled away in a back area of the hotel between a couple of wings of the buildings.

Yes, matching PJ’s are a thing 😊
I love going to Opryland. My cousin lived just down the road from there. The house looks great. Love your tree.

Awww, such an exciting time for y’all! The house looks amazing!🎄❤️
Tiffany, you did an amazing job it’s beautiful and yes Lawson you should do the pajamas because they match her. She’s so cute and I hope baby Lawson or baby Tiffany is on the way. Love you guys y’all are so cute.
Loved the impromptu piano playing.
Love the decorations. PJ’s are wonderful❤
Tiffany put a comand hook up side down on the glass front door, on the bottom of the wreath to hold the wreath on the door tight. So the wind doesn't blow the wreath off the wreath hook.
Thrift store for me. I always enjoy real vintage ornaments and decor.
Yours looks great.
Enjoy and thanks for sharing
I have the same kind of table cloths. One on my kitchen table and one under where my Manger scene sets. All the decorations on my tree center around the birth of Christ, with the exception of my boys and my grandsons first Christmas ornament.
I love cute devorations!! I do multi color any chance I can get and love cute gnomes, gingerbread men, Santa's, Grinch.... all of the above!! Lol, my decor is probably way too much for a lot of people cause I love color and cute decor
The Christmas decorations looks beautiful. ❤🙏🌲

I am super allergic to real Christmas trees, too! We just have an artificial tree and its nice those last for years. Their decor is all so cute!
Lawson,
The Red & Black squares are called Buffalo Plaid. My favorite!!! Your home is beautiful!
Beautiful tree and decorations! I hope we find out your good news in the next video ❤️ Merry Christmas 🎄
Love your decor and glad you went with the real tree! I would put the other topper on the tree as it matches your pj’s, which I love btw! ❤️
I think it's kinda of cute matching PJs. I think the decoration didn't look too bad on the ladder. Happy vlogmas

Enjoy your first Christmas! I am a plaid person, I love the red truck decor too. I mainly have just wooden decorations on my tree
Looks beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
I saw the looks you two exchanged w the pillow baby bear comment.. I made this comment before the end clip. Congratulations you two!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TIFFANY,👩🦱 AND LAWSON🧑💓💓

Love the tree 🌲
