Not only was he the perfect pick for Luffy, but One Piece Netflix has managed to select an actor destined for greatness. He has so much natural talent, heart and charisma. Something that warms my heart when I watch this cast together is how their comfort with each other shows through Mackenyu. He’s clearly the quietest and most introverted of the bunch, but the others don’t push him to speak up if he doesn’t feel like that, and you can see his comfort in the way he’s got his arms resting on the others’ chairs and is clearly engaged and reacting to their answers. He nods along, smiles, and laughs out loud! And then when he *does* speak up, he’s got his own sense of humor that meshes so well with the others! Idk, I’m someone who can be a bit of a wallflower in groups, so it really makes me smile to see how well this group of diverse and vibrant personalities still fit together so well!
I'm not even sure if it's the fact he's that introverted it's probably got more to do with the fact he's a japanese celebrity so he has an image to uphold
