LSSJ form is rad! I like the aspect of it that it constantly generates energy instead of using it up, so the user never gets tired and only gets stronger while in it. It's probably the most terrifying form for that reason. I could see that maybe the ancient LSSJ who could only achieve this form in the oozaru state would lose control of that power and destroy themselves, but Broly's mastered the oozaru power while in his normal form so he could control it.
Broly is Saiyan who was born special, since birth Broly has extraordinary and dangerous powers according to the Saiyan nobles. since on the planet on a hostile planet. broly survive there. that explains why Broly has a strong body resistance. broly can't master the power of Great Ape. he just didn't realize he could use the power of the Great Ape, even he couldn't change into a super saiyan form. All Super Saiyan: Yellow Hair + Yellow Aura Special Super Saiyan (Legendary Super Saiyan Berserk): Green Hair + Green Aura Super Saiyan combine with God Ki: Super Saiyan Blue

Golden Yak Like you, I also think lssj has something to do with the great ape form, but I wouldn't say that Broly mastered it. Neither the original nor that new Super version of him.
Using ssj4 Goku as a method of reference, Broly's iconic lssj form is the equivalent of the golden great ape form Goku took before reaching ssj4 in GT.
Basically, lssj's are special Saiyans that gain tremendous power and muscle mass instead of transforming into great apes, but they suffer from the same mental issues as most Saiyans do while drawing on that power.

@@INFA_KNIGHT In japanese, saiyans are called 'saiya-jin'. Hardcore weeaboos cling to that term, hence 'Supa Saiya-Jin' or 'SSJ'
The 'jin' basically means 'person', so saiyans are 'saiya-jin' or 'vegetable people'. Nameks are 'namek-sei-jin' or 'people from the world/star of namek', majin buu is 'magical person buu', etc.
What makes LSSJ so dangerous is that the user seems to have infinite energy/stamina, power that increases over time, and likely a healing factor. Combine this with no decrease in speed for an incredible increase in strength, and unbreakable sadistic rage, and you have a juggernaut of a transformation. LSSJ is almost broken it's so good!

@@thatoneguy7419 Eh, the ending to the Broly movie has been targeted by skeptics for not really making sense. Best explanation is that the amped Goku managed to pierce his abdomen with a mighty punch, which tore apart his "weak spot" from when he was a baby, and his resulting power for some reason just exploded. We would later learn that he indeed did not die, survived in the vacuum of space, somehow, and came back for the lackluster two Broly films.

The way I see it, unless it is fleshed out in story, it is no better than fan fiction. Because next week, Akira Toriyama would be like: "一体何について話しているの？" .... And if you dont know what that means, it translates to "What the bloody hell are you talking about?". Notoriously forgetful, and if not fleshed out, it doesnt matter. Same with Yamoshi.

He watched the fan made thingy. Yes there is a fan made animation floating around where Cumber somehow was transported to the future. His transformation was radically different. In fact, he supposedly invented 身勝手の極意 and the true transformation is supposedly called "Ancient Saiyajin". It is rather convincing, but it is still fanmade.
@Ghost_Troupe That doesn't mean the power up is different. Super Saiyan Cabba is weaker then Ssj Vegeta but it's still the same transformation. Broly obviously stomps Kale but that is 100% the same damn power up

Shreyas Kadam because it sounds exclusive to one person alone. I think (especially w the new Broly movie, and this form being cannon first via Kale) SSJ Berserker makes more sense. It sounds like more than one person can have it. Whereas LSSJ sounds like an exclusive form of ONE person

This was in the case of U6. So universe 7 also must have its counter part as they are twin universes. So it makes Broly legendary super saiyan of u7. At some point in time I think they will introduce broly as such

Jeremiah Pheasant Well, the true form of Sayains is that of great apes, hence my theory that piggybacks on what Geekdom101 says in another video where he goes over all of Broly's 'transformations' in the Super movie, and mentions the parallels between Super's Broly and GT's ssj4 form.
Carrying on with that line of thought, it seems quite probable that a Lssj is a Saiyan that can (from birth) tap into the power of the great ape transformation without actually transforming-or rather-what's known as the Lssj transformation is *actually* their own unique *version* of the great ape transformation.
And just like with Kaioken, can be applied to any other transformation; functioning as an additional power-up.
So to put it simply, Broly in the Super movie was using 'lssj power/great ape power' throughout the whole fight. What Geekdom referred to as Broly's first transformation, was actually him tapping into a bit of that power; the Dragon Ball equivalent of Naruto using a bit of the Kyuubi's power in that iconic fight against Haku.
You could call it Brody's version of a partial lssj/great ape transformation, and as the fight went on, he kept pushing it further and further until he lost the little control he had over himself and went totally berserk.
Finally, the hulked out neon-green haired form he took being the equivalent of a complete great ape transformation with ssj on top. If he ever does gains control/mastery of it, then you could say that it draws parallels with Goku going from rampaging golden great ape to ssj4 in GT. Whatever next form he takes while being in control of himself will essentially be what was called ssj4 in GT.
All of the above could even be applied to the original Broly. Just that here in Super, they made it to where he gradually uses more of the 'great ape power' instead of using all of it immediately/complete transformation all at once, or something like that.

@The Psycho Jack That's the form Frieza, feared not his own people. Broly has never met Frieza in the original DBZ movie. As King Vegeta feared that version and tried to kill them both. The same day Frieza blew Planet Vegeta. But in the dragon ball super version movie. Frieza told paragus "You brought danger to my ship". As Frieza may have still been afraid of Broly dbs

I definitely like the idea of Broly's form being the real super saiyan and the first real super saiyan to come about in a thousand years or whatever and the form Goku, Vegeta and everybody else has is a mutation. Now that so many people have it, including little kids, it does keep it from getting watered down a bit.
When Broly went super saiyan, it was the first time Paragus ever saw a super saiyan. Therefore, he labeled Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan.
The form should be called Legendary, he’s curb stomped everyone every time he’s shown up. He has the perfect form.

What's interesting is that in the Dub of the episode where Kale transforms in the tournament, Vegeta states "That could be the Legendary Super Saiyan Form our ancestors spoke of!" It does seem like they're sticking with the idea that these Legendary "Demonic" Saiyans are born every thousand years to basically destroy everything and self destruct in the process.

Ki overflowing as explained by laughingstock is Broly has a limit to his ki cap but the ki is endless. So as Broly learns to stack the ki into technique. His ki stacks can be insane. Hence his ki blast animated as him layering huge ki into a ball.
Broly was the legendary super saiyan that was mentioned in the legends/myths saying that one day a legendary super saiyan would rise... It wasn't Goku

It was, new Broly "psuedo-Oozaru state" is like an homage to blue haired Broly (neither form can reach its peak).
It is a suppressed state, occurs when a Legendary Saiyan is trying to tap into full power but is suppressed. In original Broly's case, it was the crown. It is also referred to as Super Saiyan A Type.

personally i think that super saiyan is just something that any saiyan can achieve. While LSSJ is a highly recessive gene that only comes around *very* rarely, say every 1000 years. This gene allows the carrier to achieve a form that essentially has no actual upper limit to their power. This puts massive strain on the body of the LSSJ, giving it massive size that puts strain on the cardiovascular system that will probably eventually lead to a heart attack. Not to mention the psychological strain that can be seen as someone going berserk. Maybe the body is trying to control all the new mass by pumping massive amounts of adrenaline to force circulation, and that's why they go "berserk"
Instead of heart attack how about energy overflow which makes them explode like in Z

I kind of like it being called "Demon Sayian", since it seems like something otherworldly is possessing the user.
"Out-of-Control Sayian" is too on the nose and seem kind of lazy.
Demonic Saiyan sounds more fitting, since all users lose their sanity in this state (until they find a way to control it).
Str8 Krillin it ok but both Goku and Vegita can do the green SSJ thing. It’s just before going SSGSS. You see it in the movie. Simply put some reason a single Saiyan can just tap into its potential. Given that power boost maybe causes them to go crazy. Not like they trained to get there nor understand it.

Demonic Saiyan to me makes it sound like an Anti Super Saiyan God. Which COULD be what it actually is, but who knows for sure.
BigBrain Anime I think the true identity of what we call lssj, is actually an alternate great ape transformation unique to one individual per universe, maybe with some kind of time rule in place, but that's beside the point.
The hulking neon green haired form Broly and Kale take on being *their* version of a complete great ape transformation, just that they're also in ssj at the same time.
Geekdom101 has a video where he goes over Broly's 'transformations' in the Super movie, and he notes a few similarities between Broly and golden great ape and ssj4 Goku from GT. Which, that and another guy's comment I read (who I should really give some credit to), really made everything click in my head, and it makes perfect sense when you think about it.

I like to think Legendary Super Saiyan (the supers version) has at least 2 grades, the rampaging lost in rage, aka LSS grade 1. And the Mastered version which you see Kayle use in the ToP where she has it and can control herself which I think is Grade 2

I'm gonna put my 2¢ in here. Broly wasn't sadistic because of the transformation. In the movie Broly was a sociopathic monster even as a child, he was only ever docile because Parsgus slapped that controller on him as a kid, before that Broly went on rampages on the regular.
Broly clearly had some MAJOR league issues even as a kid,before the Legendary Super Saiyan transformation ever happened. He regularly went on uncontrollable destructive rampages,hurt and killed people for no apparent reason;other than for the simple reason that he seemed to actually enjoy doing it. Its almost like someone dialed all of the Saiyan's natural negative tendencies (hunger for battle and etc) right past MAXIMUM and straight up to INSANITY.
Nice, I thought this was well thought out and interesting. My favorite part was the idea that Broly keeps experiencing a zenkai boost during battle and not just near death

If we're talking about the canon broly then that's what broly's green haired super saiyan form is called but if we're talking about old broly then his form is called legendary super saiyan

@@sprigs4041 I wouldn't call it a different form because of speculation behind its power scaling. More likely, its the same form, but it affects different users differently. I.E. every Saiyan that can assume LSSJ has the ability to assume Fury Mode, but whether Fury Mode can be tapped into at will is another story. And, of course, there's the case of LSSJ Kale's sadism compared to LSSJ DBS!Broly's outright feral behavior.

I remember watching the original Broly movie and I have to disagree about the last point regarding the instability of the Legendary Super Saiyan Form.
When Goku dealt the final blow and punched a hole into Broly’s stomach, the Legendary Super Saiyan exploded. Likely because he couldn’t properly contain the volatile ki he had built up.
Another thing is that while the original Broly could get stronger as he fought, his power worked differently from his DBS Successor.
Z Broly clearly had an upper limit to the kind of power his body could handle. Hence the famous line, and the following action of launching a rain of blasts from his body.
If you watch that scene, immediately afterwards Broly actually pauses to catch his breath. Possibly because while he vented the excess power he was given a moment of clarity before he lapsed back into his madness.
It’s not something that I see anybody comment on, and it brings to mind the original story regarding the OG Super Saiyan. If you remember the Saiyans of Universe 7 lived on Planet Sadala until a Super Saiyan appeared and destroyed the planet AND himself.

I wished they kept the name. It went from a godly Legendary Super saiyan to an ok super saiyan berserk to "Super Saiyan (Full Power)" for new broly which is just not as awesome.

In the original movie Broly's hair was Blue/ green because of the power dampeners. You can see this really well in Second coming. Broly's hair is yellow through the whole movie.
You can also see this in the raging blast games with Broly's alternative costumes.

It seems that the legendary ssj is the Hera clan transformation on top of normal ssj. That would explain the enhanced zenkai given both species have that ability so zenkai squared? I also believe the green hair and the green skin seem to match. Most estimations for the multiplier of lssj put it at 150 so that works mathematically. Maybe the two species met at one point and the lssj is what happens when two holders with a recessive gene have a kid? If it’s a rare recessive trait that would explain the gap in time.
I for real think that Moro is the evil that destroyed Jiren’s home due to prophecy and his wish was to see where he is now.

In my opinion it’s basically berserk ssj and anyone who lacks control can possess it for example kale who is not a fighter and broly for his brut up bringing, now the suppressed great ape form i find it to be the only exclusive power up for people like broly and not kale since in her universe sayins are more evolved and genetically different.
Broly's power is like glass of water if he dosen't use his ki(water) it begins to overflow and causes him to be a little fatigued so thats why he realesed alot of ki.

I know THESE three certainly have the Legendary Super Saiyan form:
1. DBZ Broly
2. DBS Broly
3. Kale
What about Future Trunks? He has his Super Saiyan Rage form?

Kale's Legendary Super Saiyan form is called Super Saiyan Berserker. Future Trunks' 'Legendary Super Saiyan' form is called Super Saiyan Rage.

@Undefined Logic Goku clearly stated that full power super sayian is ssj1 with more power and speed while not having the draw back of grade2 and grade3. Now kale form was called berseker and broly should of been called the berseker broly because it would of been more fitting. He doesn't have control nor is any good at fighting, but his ability to grow in battle, makes the name berseker or legendary far better than a fpss when we have forms that has suppassed ssj.
Undefined Logic Full Power Super Saiyan sounds like the form Goku used to fight Cell in the Cell Games.
I really want something to be done with this whole "demonic Saiyan" thing because it's been stated with regards to both new Broly and Kale, I hope it's not just hyperbole - like perhaps it could come to be that this type of saiyan is so strong because it possesses the beginnings of demon ki perhaps leading towards a Super Saiyan Demon/Devil form that would be cool.

Tbh, I would've loved to see a fight between Ssj2 Vegeta and Lssj Broly in movie 10. Vegeta deserved that rematch. It could have been the chance for Vegeta to achieve the Ssj2 form.

This gave me a good idea for a what if series. What if Goku was the legendary super Saiyan? Like let’s use the whole power always going up during a fight thing in the storyline fights. Give this transformation to Goku and fight Frieza, the Androids etc.
I'm actually glad they refer to Kale now as a legendary Super Saiyan, it did my head in when they referred to it as SS Berserk. Or Broly (Super) as a Super Saiyan Full Power. No dude, it's a LSS.
I just love how Lssj's power and energy changes the screen to yellow to green and then condensed into their hand Into an op ki blast 😂 the form is just too strong
Can't forget the part where their ki alone can alter the landscape color just from charging.

Goku didnt got enough energy to beat Broly, instead he was capable of destroying Brolys energy wall. Wich caused his body to explode cuz all the rising power within him was released.
Thts the concept how Goku defeated Broly. The energy shield we see broly using during the movie to protect himself from damage outside, works vice versa. He used it to keep the rising energy inside his body. There is also a point where he shoots multiple energy blasts to release some overflowing energy in his body.
The movies just never mentioned it clearly. Its only stated he might destroy himself. But at the end of the movie we seen it happen cuz of Gokus punch.
Also remember, transformations like SSJ3 or SSJ4 are so powerfull as well as the user may explode. Its mentioned in the series.

I see the normal Super Saiyans as the "legendary Super Saiyan" that faded into disuse and became legend, and the "Legendary Super Saiyan" as a genetic mutation. I can't however pinpoint which one can truly be considered the one from the actual legend Vegeta mentions.

But yeah that does sound almost exactly like the Golden Great Ape from GT, which must mean that him claiming the "super saiyan of legend" could be Super Saiyan 4.

To be honest I feel like Goku’s and Vegeta’s SSJ form is the true Super Saiyan and Broly’s form is a genetic mutation which causes his body to not function the same way a normal Saiyan would. The Legendary Super Saiyan is the Super Saiyan the Saiyan’s we’re familiar with whilst the yellow Super Saiyan the Saiyans weren’t familiar with.

It would have been cool if the Legendary super saiyan would have been how it is supposed to be, and the lesser super saiyans was because they lost their tails. would explain the power difference, as a large part of a saiyans power was in the tail.
also the Oozaru were like beserk when transformed, would explain why broly goes beserk.. Its like the writers dont make any effort for consistency..
eg, Frieza can destroy a planet with 1 finger in first form, then after powering up 5 times and puts all effort into fighting goku the blasts do hardly anything in comparison on namek..

I always figured that the green tent was primal energy that it was basically just a super great ape squeeze down into humanoid form the new Broly movie kind of hits that could be that could be the same thing with kale just tapping into the primal energy of the great ape and due to her mutation she can still do that even though her people have lost their tails. Plus Broly gets even bigger when he went green and when he was just in Super Saiyan he goes from being 8ft tall to ten feet tall and his strength obviously increases because then gogeta had to go blue to hurt himI think what happened there was that he combined Super Saiyan with akari and they merged into the primal green form that is basically super akari super great ape squeezed into humanoid form the green representing primal energy
Back in the day when vegeta was so scared of broly he didn't even try to fight he was just like fuck it we're all dead. Even buu didn't have that effect on him
Cannon character or not,I don't think even Omega Shenron had that same effect on Vegeta. And he was quite a bit stronger than Kid Buu was and he put the smackdown on a Full Powered Super Saiyan 4 Goku as well.

Just Leave The Nuts Hangin Out no it was a yellow green. Not the FPSSJ green. Even in new movie it’s more yellow green to start. He eventually breaks into the FPSSJ version, he just has great ape physical power to pair it. So even LSSJ can be improved into FPSSJ.
I hope it does that again in the future. He looked so insane in movie 10 with that yellow greenish hair.

Considering how in the Manga universe 6 refers to it as the demonic sayian form and in i think movie 4 Broly refers to himself as the Devil i think its safe to say that this is could actually be an evil sayian spirit form
Broly’s form is unique, it’s always going to be stronger than the current top tier form at the time that it’s introduced. He has the better plot armor, he’s the one saiyan more broken than Goku.
His potential is more broken than Gohans or Friezas who stomped Gohan with his 3-4 month training lol.

I consider original broly, dbs broly, and kale's versions to be the same, but kale also has legendary super Saiyan 2 and a berserker state (she has legendary super Saiyan 2 because she has the ability to control her legendary form, something both brolys can't do)
I personally miss the old Broly, he was a generally badass villain, I love how epic they make the new Broly, but they made the wrong choice in making him the sympathetic character.
Was Broly's form in Second Coming Legendary? His hair lacked the green tint in that movie.

I always took the power over flowing line like it is starting to strain him a bit. Meaning after time he would have to let out a lot of energy. Right after that line he lets out a huge burst of energy. Granted super his power did indeed keep growing.
