In the fields near Moscow, the first major defeat of the German army in World War II occurred after six months of intense fighting. On May 9th,1945, after the Battle of Berlin, Germany signed the capitulation. To commemorate the heroism of all the participants of the Great Patriotic War, we dedicate our new video to them.
The soundtrack to this short movie with live actors, is a cover of the song "Do not hurry," with the world-famous singer Anna German and the words of the poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko. The contemporary cover was made by the band "Murakami", which performed the premiere of the video at the Russian Comic Con Exhibition on the 4th of October.

Come on gaijin, Russia was a big part of ww2 but still they only defeated the German due to the harsh conditions... You shouldn't make Russia as op as they are! I mean the ones who deserve "the most honour/attention" are Brits and French! You where power full and shit, so was the US... But who were the ones declaring war on Germany? And why are the us given so much credit in ww2 even though they didnt do anything else than shit? The empire sent more than the US...Britain on its own sent more men the US the Powerful and mighty america didn't help out until much later! Who was bombed and would never surrender? Who fought in el Alamein for the oil and power in Egypt? Who actually won the war? Britain and Russia not US... And now back too you: Russia was great Russia was big, but that's no reason for such patriotism... You should base everything on historical facts... You may have had the biggest guns, but not the tactics the Germans had... We Brits may have not have the best infantry or soldiers, but the courage to die for freedom, to starve for freedom, to be bombed for freedom, the Americans had numbers and material, but never actually had to face any danger. Japanese could have one the war against the US quite easily, if the would have had more luck, so, you cannot integrate the courage to die for freedom and crown, but you could balance it a bit more or just make the "traits" more specialised, I love the game and how it works, but matchmaking, traits and many other things need more work, we Brits haven't got tanks in game, but there for "more" planes, that aren't "as good". Our navy should rock, don't make the Americans or the Russians OP make the Japanese and British ships very good as trade of for the tanks!

Looking back at all these in 2019, Even now this is the best trailer i have seen for a game ever. Gaijin is amazing at film making and cinematics when they really try. The music and the scenes are so well put together its amazing.

Вечная память погибшим! Деда вспоминаю, он был водителем грузовика, поставлял продовольствие и вывозил раненых, но зимой получил ранение когда вёз продовольствие в Ленинград через Ладожское озеро.

Everytime I watch the IS2 crew member, I am reminded of why we fight. We may have ideologies that differ, languages that are different, counties, religions, borders, take everything that divides us and yet at the last moment, staring into the abyss, into death itself, we fight to come back home to our families, to the innocent faces so that they may have a better chance then the warriors who fight. At the last moment of every dying solider, the faces of their father, mother, brother, sister, wife and children must flood them overwhelmingly. Respect to the fallen, regardless of the things that divide us.

My girlfriend is Russian and her grandad fought in Stalingrad and the pincer movement which destroyed the Reich on the eastern front. He’s still got his bottle and if age didn’t restrict him he’d show the thugs these days how weak they are.
It was humbling to meet him.
my great grandad also fought in Stalingrad he died due to trying to pull a fellow solider into cover but due to that hero action he managed to make that young boy to see his mom and dad even if it meant he wouldn't be able to see his wife and child ever again God bless him for being a guarding angel for that young man he is a hero. his brother made it to Berlin but he died by getting shot at he managed to survive the first and the second and the third but not the forth but he did this only to save two young men pulling tankers out of their T 34 and pulling them back to cover so they are both heroes

Try the warpath trailer, maybe the most misleading trailer with a budget for the trailer probably higher than development money
Those, who disagree with the main role of USSR in WWII, can think whatever they want. No other country influenced the course of the war this much. And for Soviet people (not only Russians, there were a lot more nations) that was the war for existence. People struggled with the enemy for their freedom, freedom of their Motherland and future generation's. I can't watch such movies, or read about the war without tears because I fucking understand what was happened back then and what the Victory has given to us all. The memory of this war is holy, as well as people's sacrifice of their lifes.
And as much as I realize this, I can't understand americans and their slogans. Why some of them deny the importance of Soviet role and blame such movies in 'propoganda'. This isn't propoganda, this is fucking truth. How people were fighting, what their everyday life during all those 1418 days and night was like. It was their land. But when I hear about 'fighters for da freedom of US', who were fighting (and still fight) on the other side of the planet, it confuses me.
I don't deny the meaning of the Pacific front for the end of the war. But, you know, that was a different war. Also, Japan was nearly capitulating, when nuclear bombs were thrown off on the heads of the innocent people. This is a giant shame for US, that continues bombing people which are 6.000 or 15.000 km away from its borders.
SO who even are you to judge our victory, the war and Soviet role in it?

Hunter Suo US entered the 'europe campaign' only when it was clear that USSR was going to come to Berlin alone. Nothing to be proud of. But still, we met on River Elbe as friends. Those were the days.
Leopoldo Aranha What division are you talking about? Germany started WWII alone. Only after half a month USSR entered Poland and returned the territories that we've lost in 1919 year after Poland's invasion (Western Ukraine and Belarus. There were massive repressions of the local population by Poland). At the time Poland government had fled to Romania, so the country ceased to exist and we had every reasons to return our borders which were much farther away from Moscow.

@@j.a.3138 I did this in my yak-1 in SB last night, actually I was the one on the lower energy state against 190A. The 190A stalled out 200m higher than me, and I hit the right rudders, as he dove, managed pilot sniped him with high angle deflection shot. I can see how the 190 pilots panicked as I climbed after him. He jinking everywhere avoiding my tracers bullets just to stalled out due to airspeed bleed
That wouldn't happen tho, German planes have better climb rates and lower stall speeds. Also the plane wouldn't stall because it is fuel injected not carburetor fed. The spitfire would stall, and the yak would stall but not the 109.
I wonder if the creators of War Thunder ever thought of actually making a movie for theaters. Amazing visuals, amazing music, and amazing story line would make them Oscar Award Winners in a heart beat. Even this small video with no words just music and visuals is better than all modern movies. You can compare this it Saints and Soldiers, Saving Private Ryan, and other classical war movies.
