Probably the most unique Far Cry game ant it's a shame not a lot of people played it or gave it the attention it rightfully deserves in my opinion.
I remember seeing a video shitting on primal and unfairly comparing it to far cry 3 and showing whats cool in 3 thats not in primal and for a while I thought that primal was the worst far cry ever then when I said "meh lets try it" I enjoyed it a lot, best far cry for me gameplay wise!
Played it, loved it but i can not say i want to play it again.
@@raduadochitei2728 FC primal lacks Variety. you get bored of same types of mission and you start missing those cool guns and unique outposts etc.
@@hamzaahmad1345good point. I think it works as an experience you complete once. And it's only enjoyable again when you play it from time to time between other games. The lack of variety makes sense in the context of the game but still is an issue.
It's actually one of my favorites, I especially like that it has a perk to reduce damage from animal attacks, so animal attacks stop being a threat and just become a minor annoyance as you keep playing.
As far as i'm aware no other farcry game has that.
See what happens when the open world is genuinely dangerous? It's so much more immersive and it motivated me to get upgrades and better pets to fight.
not to mention if im not mistaken,this is the only far cry game to have survival mode features and a hardcore mode
I loved how scary the survival was in the early game, though you quickly get powerful enough to diminish the feeling. There is something unique and I think primal about being prey to predators and to feel like a member of the food chain and natural order.

actually the last Far Cry ive played after 4 since its a refreshing take.
i remember checking the game since ive been playing open world survivals titles in early access back 2017, and Farcry Primal with bow and spears fits, notably it has the objective and goals of a singleplayer game.

Didn't know ubisoft went through all this for a single game, man for a company with a reputation of copying and pasting their games, they sure deserved more praise for this one

@diomedes7971 It's nowhere near to "uses FC4 map with new foliage". About half of Urus is derived from the height map of Southern Kyrat, with a lot of heavy exceptions and changes just about everywhere.

Primal had some of the best atmosphere of all time. At night when you saw predators glowing eyes in the dark and low roars was insane and puts into perspective how scary the world was back then.

Been going into the mountains by myself with a 6 shooter and a bottle of weed on a dirt bike or truck since I was about 12 years old. I'm almost 25 and still do it every other day and night (hell I cut wood for a living).. have had a few encounters with mountain lions. 1 of them did not make it.. multiple encounters with bear and have only had to scare them away. It's not hard to know when something's up if you have some common sense which isn't so common.
Don't know what else to say besides I've been a little ass white boy able to do it so man-up and try to get out there way more. It's completely worth it just use your brain and don't get hurt🤷♂️👌
THANK YOU. People were so harsh on this game at launch, but if you give it a chance, it genuinely plays really well and has some fantastic gameplay loops.

If you were on pc the game didn't run at launch. Many people I know desperately wanted to give it a try but were overwhelmed by it constantly crashing.

Primal was my first Far Cry, and it introduced me to the series that i fell in love with despite all its flaws. But Primal is just pure unadulterated fun and i love it for that

i wish there were more Primitive style games, Ark was good at first then it became too futuristic. I also liked the concept of horizon zero dawn, thou its not exactly primitive rather post apocalypse sci fi.
Far cry 6 was embrassing
Taming was probably my favorite part of this game. Once you get higher into Beast Mastery, you can use your pets as mounts. Cave Lion for insta-kills is great.
Guns are good, but there’s just something satisfying about beating up your enemies with a club made from rocks

I've been saying this for YEARS. A few years back i binged all the far cry games from 4 on up and even though i enjoyed them all, primal was so unique that i think it holds the top spot in the far cry series for me. So cool to see this video and how many other people enjoyed this game. Its a shame this game didnt get more shine

I know futuristic games can be fun with guns and such, but I love games where you go more medieval or primal, it also helps with the gameplay aspect as it's far more flexable as well

It's no surprise that since the release of this underrated gem all Far Cry sequels never diverged too much from the same gameplay formula, if people haven't got to appreciate this game's uniqueness.
You have this backwards. Far Cry 3 set the standard for current Far Cry games. Far Cry 3 made great progress in visuals and gameplay from Far Cry 2, and every Far Cry game since has been reminiscent of that "Far Cry 3" change.

I love this game, couldn’t stop playing once I started. The sense of discovery is just incredible and the world felt so dangerous no immersive. It’s all so beautiful and atmospheric. I hope their new Avatar game gives us some of that feeling.
Far Cry 3 and Primal are my favorites. Primal was challenging and taming the beasts was really cool.
In late game you can (or at least i can) face tank a mammoth while beating it with your big stick and the mammoth will die first. And it gets the point where most predators will just run away from you.
What I like so much is how the progression feels. At first Takkar is squishy and doesn't do a lot of damage, so the player Is likely to die a lot, but over time you upgrade weapons and health, gain new abilities, get stronger and by the end almost nothing can touch you providing you've been diligent and smart about upgrades
Recently replayed primal and I forgot how fun it was to be truly stealthy or engage in brutal melee and the pet system was really good too especially with the ability to ride some of them
The best Far Cry, by a mile. A unique experience, not just another shooter.

i'm replaying it at the hardest difficulty and the night time is a horror game. i fucking loved this game when it first came out and i replayed it many times over the years and it doesn't stop to amaze me, it did not age a day.

This and Farcry 2 are some of my favorite Far cry games since they add immersion into the series.

FCP was my first FC game! I had so much fun with it when it came out, this video made me wanna replay it again.
The idea of being able to run around with a dhole by my side and hit everything with a club is just so fun.

Maybe because they basically reused assists from far cry 4. Bet first time you played it you were like man this map feels oddly familiar. Low and behold it's far cry 4's world only reskined to look "primal"

The takedowns are pretty brutal too, I love them. I think they vary depending what weapon you're wielding? Idk, don't quote me
Yes. If you are holding a bow Long Bow or Double Bow, you do knife takedowns, while if you're holding the club, two-handed club or Spear you do unique takedowns with each weapon

I loved this game. Me and my friend would always die laughing slamming clubs into people and sending them into a tent smashing into pots and pans. Game is great
That seamless transition to an ad was *chef's kiss*.
The only far cry game I 100% and never felt bored, to think it more fun making spears and club and going Unga bunga down mammoths and everything else then just shooting the same dude 100 times but in a different way with a different gun type, plus there a real sense of progression here, upgrading your weapons and such it feel satisfying instead of just oh new gun or some minor tiny attachment to the gun
same primal love forever this game should be remastered but still don't need remaster it's only one game about cavemans and great historical times AWESOME GORGEOUS people should be remembered about Primal
My only complaints about the game were the mammoth sections (terrible controls) and the fact that I wished we had gotten more backstory with the rival factions. There were interesting stories hinted there, but they weren’t really explored. Would have loved to have seen more insight onto the sun worshippers and how they came to develop their practices and beliefs.
Great video as always! I’d have to say that out of all of the FC entries that FC 2 and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon are my favorites. 🙂

Far Cry Primal is by far my most favorite game in the series. The atmosphere in this game is truly something special. I really enjoyed collecting all of the animal companions and riding a bear into combat 😅

This was my first long playthrough of a far cry game, I loved it a lot, but, it did get really repetitive after awhile and could have had a lot more things added. I love games that are Ragnarok style or prehistoric, where you can tame animals and stuff. That's why I've always loved ark so much, but hate how complicated it is, just to do the things you want in the game. I'd love a game with a mixture of those game concepts. (Same with Skyrim and Oblivion, or Fallout 4 and NV. A game combining all the things we love about those games, into one.)

Man, Far Cry Primal was so good. It's the most unique game ever in a way, because it's got a unique setting (prob the only AAA caveman game) while not revolving entirely around just the premise. It's an FPS before it's a caveman simulator.
People have said things like "Why does it have to be Far Cry, why couldn't it just be a new IP", but it actually wouldn't be as good if it didn't have the Far Cry mechanics. Being a caveman that snipes people with bows and does sneak kills is so badass.

I'm not a big fan of Ubisoft but i appreciate the fact that they made a game based on stone age , something that no other AAA studio made before.

As someone that often plays the Far cry’s in stealth with a cross bow, this game with its bow and arrow was absolutely perfect. The story wasn’t long enough 😩

This is my personal favourite far cry game
First playthrough I died a lot. Then I decided to increase the difficulty (survivor mode and permadeath - started of with expert mode in 1st playthrough), and after a lot of deaths you become a master of stealth... and you become paranoid of every sound as each twig or rustle could mean a sabretooth giving you a kiss.

Seeing how the queue time for Starfield on Xbox is an hour I downloaded this game and no regrets, from 3078 or whatever to 10,000 BCE. LOVE IT.

Im glad im not the only one thinking the game is really underpreciated! It was my first far cry and my favourite! I even 100% getting all the achievements and collectebles, tamed every beast, defeated every outpost, discovered every area, skinned every animal, reach max population to the point where i killed my people for fun. Maxed every weapon, finished every side quest and so, so SO MUCH MORE! This game got me hooked for the entire summer! Glad to see more people like it!!
